  Our software must be able to run on SQL Server 2000 and 2005. To simplify development, we're running our SQL Server 2005 databases in compatibility level 80. However, database performance seems slower on SQL 2005 than on SQL 2000 in some cases (we have not confirmed this using benchmarks yet). Would upgrading the compatibility level to 90 improve performance on the SQL 2005 servers?

  I'm inserting new rows into a SQLite table, but I don't want to insert duplicate rows. I also don't want to specify every column in the database if possible. I don't even know if this is possible. I should be able to take my values and create a new row with them, but if they duplicate another row they should either overwrite the existing row or do nothing.

  I'd like to take a snapshot of my database, make some changes and then use the db compare functionality to identify the changes, and who knows, maybe even generate scripts to make the change. I'd like to avoid having to backup the current db and restore it as a separate db just to have a "before" snapshot. I'm guessing I shouldn't have to.
