I've followed this manual: http://help.github.com/linux-key-setup but at step: ssh [email protected] I get: Agent admitted failure to sign using the key. Permission denied (publickey). What's wroing?     It looks like I'm missing something. When using Jython to run my Python code in Java, Java bytecode files are generated (test.py - [email protected]). Can I run these classes directly using java? In other words, I want to make this: $ java test@py [additional cp args] work. The intent: writing Python code and not having to give away source code.

  • How can I set a Windows user environment variable that takes effect for the current session?

    I am trying to set a Windows user environment variable and then launch an application via either batch file or a script. However, the environment variable is not set to the appropriate value until after the user logs off and logs back on. (I think a more accurate description would be that the new value is not available to the app until after the next logon.) Is there any way to set a variable in the user's environment so that it's immediately available? I'm doing this because this program's functionality can be controlled by environment variables, and users will need different functionality at different times. Because of license constraints I need to set this dynamically, if possible. Thanks, Graham

  • Can Resource Governor for SQL Server 2008 be scripted?

    I'm looking for a method to, in real-time, automatically, adjust Resource Governor settings. Here's an example: Imagine that I have 10 applications, each hitting a different database on the same database machine. For normal operations, they do not hit the database very hard, so I might want each one to have 10% CPU power reserved. Occasionally, though, one or two of them might spike, and run an operation which could really use the extra power to run faster. I'd like to be able to adjust to compensate (say, reducing the non-spiking apps to 3%, and splitting the difference between the spiking apps). This is a kind of poor man's method of trying to dynamically adjust resource allocation and priorities. Scripts (or something script-like) is preferred, since the requirement is for meta-level adjustments to be possible in real-time, also.

  • Authlogic OpenID: Fetching E-Mail from Provider.

    This is a really weird problem: I have set up the authlogic_openid_selector_example app. When i register, the email id is not returned by the openid provider the first time. But if i delete the account and register again, the email id is returned. But this doesn't seem to be happening in the example hosted here: http://big-glow-mama.heroku.com/. How do i fix this problem? Has this got to do with caching? I have hosted my version of the app here: http://pingauthtest.heroku.com/ I guess the author of authlogic_openid_selector_example app (@holden) has forgotten to commit new changes. :) I looked at my development log and the first time the provider doesn't return the openid.ext1.value.ext0 which contains the email id. This is returned the second time only after having deleted the account first.   • Can't access an internal IIS web site via IP address, only hostname

    I have a machine on my home network running Windows Server 2008 (IIS7) with a web application running under default website called HTCOMNET. The network is just on a Windows Workgroup. The server is named nas1 and has a (dynamically assigned) IPv4 address of 192.168.2.12. I can ping 192.168.2.12. When I ping the machine by name ("nas1"), the hostname resolves to an IPv6 link-local address (as opposed to the ipv4 address). In a browser, I can go to http://nas1/HTCOMNET/ and IIS serves the site, no problem. But if I go to http://192.168.2.12/HTCOMNET, no dice. I have all the windows firewalls turned off. Any idea what's going on? I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't hit IIS via the IP. I feel like it's something really obvious, but i can't figure out what. Thanks!
