    I am trying to get data from my Database of those who have upcoming birth days in next few days(declared earlier) it's working fine for days but this query will not work if i add 24 days to current date cause than it will need change in month. i wonder how can i do it declare @date int=10, @month int=0 select * from STUDENT_INFO where DATEPART(DD,STDNT_DOB) between DATEPART(DD,GETDATE()) and DATEPART(DD,DATEADD(DD,@date,GETDATE())) and DATEPART(MM,STDNT_DOB) = DATEPART(MM,DATEADD(MM,@month,GETDATE())) This query works fine but it only checks date between 8 & 18 but if i use it like this declare @date int=30, @month int=0 select * from STUDENT_INFO where DATEPART(DD,STDNT_DOB) between DATEPART(DD,GETDATE()) and DATEPART(DD,DATEADD(DD,@date,GETDATE())) and DATEPART(MM,STDNT_DOB) = DATEPART(MM,DATEADD(MM,@month,GETDATE())) it will return nothing since it require addition in month as well If I Use it like this declare @date int=40, @month int=0 select * from STUDENT_INFO where DATEPART(DD,STDNT_DOB) between DATEPART(DD,GETDATE()) and DATEADD(DD,@date,GETDATE()) and DATEPART(MM,STDNT_DOB) = DATEPART(MM,DATEADD(MM,@month,GETDATE())) than it will return results till the last of this month but will not show till 18/12 which was required

    I have written a code for UIButton press to decrement date. The present date is shown in a UILabel text property and it changes to the previous date when the button is pressed. The following code works perfectly fine for iOS5 but doesn't work with iOS6.   • Jquery interactive table - multiple instance problem

    Hello forgive me if i use the wrong terminology and the messiness of this code it is the first time I have used jquery. I am making an interactive table-product selector. Compatible systems run along the top and colour choices down the left. The table works by seeing if there is a cell is empty in a html table. If the cell is empty then that is a compatible system and a circle image is in that cell and it is selectable. When selected the product code is generated (by looking at the colour value and system name) and the relevant resource download pack can be downloaded. This works 'fine' when on its own on a page however when I have multiple instances of it on one page they interfere with each other. Only the first one works and clicking in the 2nd 3rd etc table updates the first one. I need these to function independant of each other.     Hello people, Since last 2 days, I was trying to add transperancy to the background after rotating an image using imagerotate() PHP-GD function. But, to my great disappointment, it's not working at all. It's just giving out a black background behind it.   • ImageMagick help -- need to change DPI

    I have a 1000x1000 300dpi image that I need to convert to a 100x100 96dpi thumbnail. How do I do this in ImageMagick? I'm after the smallest possible file size at the highest possible quality. Doing something like this: convert myimage.png -quality 100 -resize 100 PNG8:mynewimage.png .... does change the dimension, but still maintains the DPI. If I can get this to change to 96dpi, I should get a smaller file size. I've tried -density, etc., but can't seem to make them work for me. Maybe I put the commands in the wrong order or passed the wrong parameters. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    i have a table like this one: id | name | score mapped to a POJO via XML with Hibernate. The score column i only need in oder by - clauses in HQL. The value for the score column is calculated by an algorithm and updated every 24 hours via SQL batch process (JDBC). So i dont wanna pollute my POJO with properties i dont need at runtime. For a single column that may be not a problem, but i have several different score columns. Is there a way to map a property for HQL use only? For example like this: <property name="score" type="double" ignore="true"/> so that i still can do this: from Pojo p order by p.score but my POJO implementation can look like this: public class Pojo { private long id; private String name; // ... } No Setter for score provided or property added to implementation. using the latest Hibernate version for Java.

    I'm trying to add user submitted articles to my website, (only for admins). With each article comes an option to upload up to 3 images. My database is set up like this Articles id user_id title body date_added last_edited Photos id (auto_increment) article_id First I save the article in the database, then I upload the photo (temporarily) then I create a new photo record in the database saving the article_id. Then I rename the uploaded photo to be the same as the primary key of the photo record, and to be a png. $filename = $photo->id . '.png'; I figured this would be a good way to prevent files form being overwritten. This seems flawed to me. Any suggestions on how I should save my records and photos? Thanks

However I always end up getting just the last change and non of the earlier ones. So it always ends up being something like 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,403 rather then 14,19,0,24,603,249,0,0,0,403 How can I do this so it doesn't overwrite it? Thanks

Not sure what is the most performant way of doing it, but I am trying to see how the multi value mysql inserts do using hibernate.     So, I can create an input button with an image using <INPUT type="image" src="/images/Btn.PNG" value=""> But, I can't get the same behavior using CSS. for instance, i've tried <INPUT type="image" class="myButton" value=""> where "myButton" is defined in the css file as .myButton{ background:url(/images/Btn.PNG) no-repeat; cursor:pointer; width: 200px; height: 100px; border: none; } If that's all I wanted to do, I could use the original style, but I want to change the button's appearance on hover (using a myButton:hover class). I know the links are good because I've been able to load them for a background image for other parts of the page (just as a check). I found examples on the web of how to do it using javascript, but I'm looking for a css solution. I'm using Firefox 3.0.3 if that makes a difference. Thanks

    I have a javascript slide show that creates the next slide dynamically and then moves it into view. Since the images are actually sprites, the src is transparent.png and the actual image is mapped via background:url(.. in css. Everytime (well, most of the time) the script creates a new Element, Firefox makes an http request for transparent.png. I have a far-future expires header, and Firefox is respecting all other files' expiries. Is there a way to avoid these unnecessary requests. Even though the server is returning 304 unmodified responses, it would be nice if Firefox would respect the expiries on dynamically created images. I suspect that if I injected a simple string instead of using new Element, this might solve the problem, but I use some methods on Prototypes extended Element object, so I would like to avoid a bunch of html strings in my js file. This is a nit-picky question, but I'm working on front-end optimization now, so I thought I would address it. Thanks.

    I've retrieved some data from the database, which is in the following structure: [0] [item_id] = 197 [dice_chat_css] = "foo" [dice_image] = "bar.png" [1] [item_id] = 128 [dice_chat_css] = "foo" [dice_image] = "bar.png" The most convenient and computationally inexpensive way for me to pass this data to the rest of my (PHP) application is with item_id as the index, because it saves having to loop over the array to look up values. If this was a flat array, I could accomplish this trivially with array_flip, but since it isn't, it's my pick of using either the multidimensional array_flip listed in the comments on PHP.net, or roll my own logic: for ($i = 0; $i < sizeOf($r); $i++){ $s[$r[$i]['item_id']]['dice_image'] = $r[$i]['dice_image']; $s[$r[$i]['item_id']]['dice_chat_css'] = $r[$i]['dice_chat_css']; } I know it's simple, but it feels like I'm reinventing the wheel here. Is there an accepted, more optimized method available or am I being weird about this?

  • How do I hide the text links over a toggleable horizontal list with background images.

    I'm trying to create a UL/LI horizontal list with background images only, with no text link visible. The reason for this is so that when I over over a list item, the background would rollover and when I click on it the current item would toggle. basically it is a horizontal menu with background images that can be toggled; mimicking the job of a radio button. I have done it like this; <div id="options"> <ul id="list"> <li class="active"><a href="#" class="option1 active" id="link1"><span>XXXXX</span></a></li> <li><a href="#" class="option2" id="link2"><span>XXXXX</span></a></li> <li><a href="#" class="option3" id="link3"><span>XXXXX</span></a></li> </ul> </div> The CSS for option1, option2 and option3 simply define the background image. #options LI{list-style-type: none; display : inline} a.option1{ background:url('../images/option1.png') no-repeat;} a.option2{ background:url('../images/option2.png') no-repeat;} a.option3{ background:url('../images/option3.png') no-repeat;} a.option1, a.option2, a.option3{ background-position:top; display:inline; width:230px; height:40px; } And the hover & active css part simply sets the background position like so- a.option1:hover, a.option2:hover, a.option3:hover{ background-position:bottom; } a.active{ background-position:bottom !important; } This works fine, however on top of the background I get the words "XXXXX" as text links and I'm struggling to hide them. They are interfering with the hover action and preventing rollover (even if I replace XXXXX with a period or something short). I can't just remove the text from the link as it would hide the whole LI element. I have tried to use display:none; or text-indent:-999px but then the whole UI element becomes invisible. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. Are you able to help? Thanks

My .htaccess is now: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|css|js|pl|txt)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/admin/* RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [QSA] (based on Sombat's comment) And I want to make this, with it: for every elements but (jpg|jpeg|gif|png|css|js|pl|txt) if domain.xx/admin redirect to the domain.xx/admin directory and don't make a rewrite at all i mean: let me use domain.xx/admin/index.php?asd=1&asdd=2 else rewrite everything as rule one, to index.php.     I want to make the program where you have to enter some data, and then it will manipulate that data and show it on the other view when you click done. I search through multiple tutorials, but still cant understand how you do that. I have a textfield - lesson1 and want to pass it to the label in the second view.
