  I am building a web application for questions and answers. Each question/answer page has all the required metadata for Facebook and Twitter, and we encourage users to share these pages. I have a dilemma regarding the shared link structure: Option 1 - subdomains Use a questions.example.com and answers.example.com, followed by an ID and optional text. In spite of the busy schedule, I couldn’t resist writing an article for MSDN magazine about, you guessed it, the MVVM pattern and MVVM Light in Windows 8.   Phil Rogers, AMD Corporate Fellow and HSA Foundation President, joined Oracle on stage to discuss Project Sumatra, which was recently approved in the OpenJDK Community. Project Sumatra will explore how Java can be extended to support heterogeneous computing models for improved performance and power consumption.Oracle plans to propose Project Nashorn, a new JavaScript engine for the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), later this year in the OpenJDK Community.   We have a new graphic/web design site that we've created and we'd like to give it a boost in terms of back links. What are the obvious places to submit a website to achieve some good back links? And what would be the recurring work load (if any) that those back links would need? Are there any good industry specific websites we could submit a profile to? E.g Twitter, would need constant interaction and new content with back links to the website. UPDATE: I've always felt it's worth it but after several years trying to submit different websites, I've never successfully managed to get a site into DMOZ!!

• Versioning Java APIs in a non-web context

  I have modular java application which consists of 40 modules. Some of these modules needs to expose external APIs which other modules or any external integration should be using. The system runs as a desktop application and each module is bundled as a separate jar file. My plan is to bundle the external api as a separate jar. But now the question is: how can I maintain multiple versions of the same API to keep backward compatibility in cases where it can co-exist? Are there any de facto standards on handling APIs versioning out of a web context ?

• Moving from Windows 8.1 to Ubuntu - what can I do to replace OneDrive?

  That's it - I got tired from the constant problems on and about Windows I'm having. Network issues, performance issues, compatibility issues... But I'll seriously miss OneDrive integration (all my files are there). There is some kind of app that can sync with it? And what is the easiest way to install JDK? Through PPAs? Note that I have no plans to keep Windows, I'll just replace the d*mn thing with Ubuntu (maybe Mint).
