  • deleting dublicates in listview delphi

    - by radick
hi all I am trying to remove dublicates in my listview my function like this below procedure RemoveDuplicates(const LV:TbsSkinListView); var i,j: Integer; begin LV.Items.BeginUpdate; LV.SortType := stText; try for i := 0 to LV.Items.Count-1 do begin for j:=i+1 to LV.Items.Count-1 do begin if SameText(LV.Items[i].SubItems[0], LV.Items[j].SubItems[0]) and SameText(LV.Items[i].SubItems[1], LV.Items[j].SubItems[1]) and SameText(LV.Items[i].SubItems[2], LV.Items[j].SubItems[2]) and SameText(LV.Items[i].SubItems[3], LV.Items[j].SubItems[3]) then LV.Items.Delete(j); end; end; finally LV.SortType := stNone; LV.Items.EndUpdate; end; ShowMessage('Deleted'); end; but its not doing what i intended can anyone help me ?

  • How to create a generic C free function .

    - by nomemory
I have some C structures related to a 'list' data structure. They look like this. struct nmlist_element_s { void *data; struct nmlist_element_s *next; }; typedef struct nmlist_element_s nmlist_element; struct nmlist_s { void (*destructor)(void *data); int (*cmp)(const void *e1, const void *e2); unsigned int size; nmlist_element *head; nmlist_element *tail; }; typedef struct nmlist_s nmlist; This way I can have different data types being hold in "nmlist_element-data" . The "constructor" (in terms of OOP) has the following signature: nmlist *nmlist_alloc(void (*destructor)(void *data)); Where "destructor" is specific function that de-allocated "data" (being hold by the nmlist_element). If I want to have a list containing integers as data, my "destructor" would like this: void int_destructor(void *data) { free((int*)data); } Still i find it rather "unfriendly" for me to write a destructor functions for every simple primitive data type. So is there a trick to write something like this ? (for primitives): void "x"_destructor(void *data, "x") { free(("x" *)data); } PS: I am not a macro fan myself, and in my short experience regarding C, i don't use them, unless necessary.

  • Crystal Report Function for converting Seconds to Timespan format.

    - by arakkots
I have a crystal report where it shows the Agent's activities throughout the day with a pie chart. In the details section it is displaying: Activity [string] StartedAt [DateTime] EndedAt [DateTime] Duration [The difference between EndedAt and StartedAt in seconds - Integer] Report data is GroupedBy Activity and summarized by Duration. Currently Duration is shown in seconds but I need to format it 02h:30m:22s:15ms. For that I wrote a custom function in Crystal Report in the Formula Workshop editor as follows, but it looks like the syntax is not right (Error message on keyword Long: "A variable type (for example, 'String') is missing."). Can someone help? Function GetTimeSpanString(seconds as Long) Dim ts As TimeSpan = TimeSpan.FromSeconds( seconds ); GetTimeSpan = string.Format("{0:D2}h:{1:D2}m:{2:D2}s:{3:D3}ms", ts.Hours, ts.Minutes, ts.Seconds, ts.Milliseconds) End Function

  • Displaying list of objects as single column in a bound gridview (Winforms)?

    - by Carrie Nelson
I have a gridview that is bound to a datasource on a Windows Form (VB.NET). The grid displays a list of "certifications", and each "certification" can be associated with many languages. So in the grid, I'd like to display "languages" as a column, and display a comma delimited list of the language names for each "certification". In the "certification" class, one of the properties is a list of "language" objects, and each "language" has an ID (guid), name (string), and value (integer). So in the datasource, I have the list of "languages", but I can't figure out how to display them in a column on the grid. The gridview won't let me add the language list property as a column. So is the ONLY way to add a new property on the "certification" class, which returns a string that contains the comma delimited list, and show THAT on the grid? Or is there a way to display that list of "languages"?

  • OpenCL - incremental summation during compute

    - by user1721997
I'm absolutelly novice in OpenCL programming. For my app. (molecular simulaton) I wrote a kernel for calculate intermolecular potential of lennard-jones liquid. In this kernel I need to compute cumulative value of the potential of all particles with one: __kernel void Molsim(__global const float* inmatrix, __global float* fi, const int c, const float r1, const float r2, const float r3, const float rc, const float epsilon, const float sigma, const float h1, const float h23) { float fi0; float fi1; float d; unsigned int i = get_global_id(0); //number of particles (typically 2000) if(c!=i) { // potential before particle movement d=sqrt(pow((0.5*h1-fabs(0.5*h1-fabs(inmatrix[c*3]-inmatrix[i*3]))),2.0)+pow((0.5*h23-fabs(0.5*h23-fabs(inmatrix[c*3+1]-inmatrix[i*3+1]))),2.0)+pow((0.5*h23-fabs(0.5*h23-fabs(inmatrix[c*3+2]-inmatrix[i*3+2]))),2.0)); if(d<rc) { fi0=4.0*epsilon*(pow(sigma/d,12.0)-pow(sigma/d,6.0)); } else { fi0=0; } // potential after particle movement d=sqrt(pow((0.5*h1-fabs(0.5*h1-fabs(r1-inmatrix[i*3]))),2.0)+pow((0.5*h23-fabs(0.5*h23-fabs(r2-inmatrix[i*3+1]))),2.0)+pow((0.5*h23-fabs(0.5*h23-fabs(r3-inmatrix[i*3+2]))),2.0)); if(d<rc) { fi1=4.0*epsilon*(pow(sigma/d,12.0)-pow(sigma/d,6.0)); } else { fi1=0; } // cumulative difference of potentials fi[0]+=fi1-fi0; } } My problem is in the line: fi[0]+=fi1-fi0;. In the one-element vector fi[0] are wrong results. I read something about sum reduction, but I do not know how to do it during the calculation. Exist any simple solution of my problem?

  • In MATLAB can I convert a java boolean to a MATLAB logical?

    - by Adrian
In MATLAB I'm using a couple of java routines I've written to interface with a MyQSL database. One routine returns a boolean value result <1x1 java.lang.Boolean> >> result result = true When I then use it in a conditional statement I get an error message. >> if result, disp('result is true') end ??? Conversion to logical from java.lang.Boolean is not possible. Is there a way to use the java boolean class as a MATLAB logical type? Or do I have to resort to returning integer values from my java routines?

  • how to clear XFixes regions

    - by ~buratinas
Hi, I'm writing some low level code for X11 platform. To achieve best data copying performance I use XFixes/XDamage extensions. How can I clear the contents of XFixes region after one refresh cycle? Or do they clean themselves after I use XFixesSetPictureClipRegion? My code is something like that: Display xdpy; XShamPixmap pixmap_; XFixesRegion region_; damage_event_callback(damage_geometry_t geometry, XDamage damage,...) { unsigned curr_region = XFixesCreateRegion(xdpy, 0, 0); XDamageSubtract(xdpy, damage, None, curr_region); XFixesTranslateRegion( xdpy, curr_region, geometry.left(), geometry.top() ); XFixesUnionRegion (xdpy, region_, region_, curr_region); } process_damage_events(...) { XFixesSetPictureClipRegion( xdpy, pixmap_, 0, 0, region_); XCopyArea (xdpy, window_->id(), pixmap_, XDefaultGC(xdpy, XDefaultScreen(xdpy)), 0,0,width(),height(),0,0); /*Should clear region_ here */ ... } Currently I clear the region by deleting and recreating, but I guess it's not the best way to do that.

  • Creating an array & outputting its code definition for preloading

    - by user422318
I want to create a 2d array that represents my 2d canvas. For each pixel, I will look up the value and then save an integer {0, 1, 2, 3, 4} as each element of the array. Unfortunately, this takes way too friggin' long to run each time I load the game. How can I write a script that creates this array for me and outputs the array code so I can just paste it in a js file and have it preloaded? (I'm prototyping a game, so I just need to run this for my test map or two.)

  • Retrieving datatypes from underlying database

    - by H4mm3rHead
Hi, Im making an application that displays information about an underlying database. The database can be anything, but is typically either Oracle, MSSQL or MySQL. I am trying to extract the datatype but cannot seem to get this right. I have a DbConnection because i dont know whether I need a OleDbConnection or an OdbcConnection. On this connection I make a GetSchema("Columns", "mytablename") query and gets the result back. It seems though that there are some inconsistencies with my datatypes or the query returns different datatypes for the different databases. For instance, in my MSSQL database I query and get an integer back (which seems to be the OleDbType) which I map to a datatype. My varchars is now of type char - no length - and this confuses me a bit. I guess my main question is something like: Is there any way of making a uniform way of extracting datatypes across providers and having an "accurate" representation of the datatype?

  • Does the JPQL avg aggregate function work with Integers?

    - by Kyle Renfro
I have a JPA 2 Entity named Surgery. It has a member named transfusionUnits that is an Integer. There are two entries in the database. Executing this JPQL statement: Select s.transfusionUnits from Surgery s produces the expected result: 2 3 The following statement produces the expected answer of 5: Select sum(s.transfusionUnits) from Surgery s I expect the answer of the following statement to be 2.5, but it returns 2.0 instead. Select avg(s.transfusionUnits) from Surgery s If I execute the statement on a different (Float) member, the result is correct. Any ideas on why this is happening? Do I need to do some sort of cast in JPQL? Is this even possible? Surely I am missing something trivial here.

  • Reading a text file in c++

    - by Yavuz Karacabey
string numbers; string fileName = "text.txt"; ifstream inputFile; inputFile.open(fileName.c_str(),ios_base::in); inputFile >> numbers; inputFile.close(); cout << numbers; And my text.txt file is: 1 2 3 4 5 basically a set of integers separated by tabs. The problem is the program only reads the first integer in the text.txt file and ignores the rest for some reason. If I remove the tabs between the integers it works fine, but with tabs between them, it won't work. What causes this? As far as I know it should ignore any white space characters or am I mistaken? If so is there a better way to get each of these numbers from the text file?

  • Showing all rows for keys with more than one row

Both select init from kal group by init having count(init)2) and select * from kal where init in ('aa','bb','cc') runs in "no time", less than 0.02 seconds. I've tried different subqueries, but all takes "infinite" time, more than a few minutes; I've actually never let them finish. Leif

  • Bitwise OR of constants

    - by ryyst
While reading some documentation here, I came across this: unsigned unitFlags = NSYearCalendarUnit | NSMonthCalendarUnit | NSDayCalendarUnit; NSDateComponents *comps = [gregorian components:unitFlags fromDate:date]; I have no idea how this works. I read up on the bitwise operators in C, but I do not understand how you can fit three (or more!) constants inside one int and later being able to somehow extract them back from the int? Digging further down the documentation, I also found this, which is probably related: typedef enum { kCFCalendarUnitEra = (1 << 1), kCFCalendarUnitYear = (1 << 2), kCFCalendarUnitMonth = (1 << 3), kCFCalendarUnitDay = (1 << 4), kCFCalendarUnitHour = (1 << 5), kCFCalendarUnitMinute = (1 << 6), kCFCalendarUnitSecond = (1 << 7), kCFCalendarUnitWeek = (1 << 8), kCFCalendarUnitWeekday = (1 << 9), kCFCalendarUnitWeekdayOrdinal = (1 << 10), } CFCalendarUnit; How do the (1 << 3) statements / variables work? I'm sorry if this is trivial, but could someone please enlighten me by either explaining or maybe posting a link to a good explanation? Thanks! -- ry

  • SQLAlchemy introspection of ORM classes/objects

    - by Adam Batkin
I am looking for a way to introspect SQLAlchemy ORM classes/entities to determine the types and other constraints (like maximum lengths) of an entity's properties. For example, if I have a declarative class: class User(Base): __tablename__ = "USER_TABLE" id = sa.Column(sa.types.Integer, primary_key=True) fullname = sa.Column(sa.types.String(100)) username = sa.Column(sa.types.String(20), nullable=False) password = sa.Column(sa.types.String(20), nullable=False) created_timestamp = sa.Column(sa.types.DateTime, nullable=False) I would want to be able to find out that the 'fullname' field should be a String with a maximum length of 100, and is nullable. And the 'created_timestamp' field is a DateTime and is not nullable.

  • Queue-like data structure with fast search and insertion

    - by Max
I need a datastructure with the following properties: It contains integer numbers, no duplicates. After it reaches the maximal size the first element is removed. So if the capacity is 3, then this is how it would look when putting in it sequential numbers: {}, {1}, {1, 2}, {1, 2, 3}, {2, 3, 4}, {3, 4, 5} etc. Only two operations are needed: inserting a number into this container (INSERT) and checking if the number is already in the container (EXISTS). The number of EXISTS operations is expected to be approximately 2 * number of INSERT operations. I need these operations to be as fast as possible. What would be the fastest data structure or combination of data structures for this scenario?

  • Best way to get record counts grouped by month, adjusted for time zone, using SQL or LINQ to SQL

    - by Jeff Putz
I'm looking for the most efficient way to suck out a series of monthly counts of records in my database, but adjusting for time zone, since the times are actually stored as UTC. I would like my result set to be a series of objects that include month, year and count. I have LINQ to SQL objects that looks something like this: public class MyRecord { public int ID { get; set; } public DateTime TimeStamp { get; set; } public string Data { get; set; } } I'm not opposed to using straight SQL, but LINQ to SQL would at least keep the code a lot more clean. The time zone adjustment is available as an integer (-5, for example). Again, the result set what I'm looking for is objects containing the month, year and count, all integers. Any suggestions? I can think of several ways to do it straight, but not with a time zone adjustment.

  • VB.Net List.Find. Pass values to predicate

    - by Beta033
Having a bit of trouble using the List.Find with a custom predicate i have a function that does this private function test () Dim test As Integer = keys.Find(AddressOf FindByOldKeyAndName).NewKey here's the function for the predicate Private Shared Function FindByOldKeyAndName(ByVal k As KeyObj) As Boolean If k.OldKey = currentKey.OldKey And k.KeyName = currentKey.KeyName Then Return True Else Return False End If End Function by doing it this way means i have to have a shared "currentKey" object in the class, and i know there has to be a way to pass in the values i'm interested in of CurrentKey (namely, keyname, and oldkey) ideally i'd like to call it by something like keys.Find(AddressOf FindByOldKeyAndName(Name,OldVal)) however when i do this i get compiler errors. How do i call this method and pass in the values?

  • [C++] instantiating bitset using hex character.

    - by bndz
Hey, I'm trying to figure out how to instantiate a 4 bit bitset based on a hex character. For instance, If I have a character with value 'F', I want to create a bitset of size 4 initialized to 1111 or if it is A, i want to initialize it to 1010. I could use a bunch of if statements like so: fn(char c) { bitset<4 temp; if(c == 'F') temp.set(); //... if(c == '9') { temp.set(1); temp.set(3); } //... } This isn't efficient, is there a way of easily converting the string to a decimal integer and constructing the bitset using the last 4 bits of the int? Thanks for any help.

  • Efficient persistent storage for simple id to table of values map for java

    - by wds
I need to store some data that follows the simple pattern of mapping an "id" to a full table (with multiple rows) of several columns (i.e. some integer values [u, v, w]). The size of one of these tables would be a couple of KB. Basically what I need is to store a persistent cache of some intermediary results. This could quite easily be implemented as simple sql, but there's a couple of problems, namely I need to compress the size of this structure on disk as much as possible. (because of amount of values I'm storing) Also, it's not transactional, I just need to write once and simply read the contents of the entire table, so a relational DB isn't actually a very good fit. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions? For some reason I can't seem to come up with something decent atm. Especially something with an API in java would be nice.

  • "Dynamic" java validation framework?

    - by pihentagy
AFAIK JSR-303 is the standard bean validation system. I don't know whether it could do validations like this (I guess no): if an object has a deleted flag set, you cannot modify the object you cannot change the start date property, after the date is passed you cannot decrease some integer properties in the bean So how can I handle validations, which depend on the previous state of an object? I would like to solve problems like that in hibernate3.5 - spring3 - JPA2 environment. Thanks My solution was to mess with hibernate, reload the object to see the old state (after evicting the new object). This time I need some smarter solution...

  • How to skip integers in C++ taken from a fstream txt file?

    - by Elaina
    I need to create a function that uses a loop. This function will open a text file and then must be able to skip a variable number of leading random integers. The program must be able to handle any number of leading random integers. Example if the opened file reads this on its first line: 100 120 92 82 38 49 102 and the SKIP_NUMBER variable is assigned 3 the number the function would grab is 82. The function must continue to grab the integers every SKIP_NUMBER until it reaches the end of the file. These integers taken from the txt file are then placed into another text file. Please help I'm really lost on how to create this loop! :D Here is my function so far... //Function skips variables and returns needed integer int skipVariable (int SKIP_NUMBER) { return 0; //temporary return } These are my program variables: // initialize function/variables ifstream fin; string IN_FILE_NAME, OUT_FILE_NAME; int SKIP_NUMBER;

One way to work around this is to hard-code (or configure) the URL specified in Alternate Access Mappings. Putting the correct URL in Alternate Access Mappings is ultimately the correct solution, but if possible, I need a work-around that doesn't require configuration.
