    I was following Hibernate: Use a Base Class to Map Common Fields and openjpa inheritance tutorial to put common columns like ID, lastModifiedDate etc in base table. In summary, There are two issues here Why I am getting All ID Fields =0 when using read all? Why the LastModifiedDate is not being inserted?

  • Can HTML checkboxes be set to readonly?

    I thought they could be, but as I'm not putting my money where my mouth was (so to speak) setting the readonly attribute doesn't actually seem to do anything. I'd rather not use Disabled, since I want the checked check boxes to be submitted with the rest of the form, I just don't want the client to be able to change them under certain circumstances.

    I have several ArrayLists of Integer objects, stored in a HashMap. I want to get a list (ArrayList) of all the numbers (Integer objects) that appear in each list. My thinking so far is: Iterate through each ArrayList and put all the values into a HashSet This will give us a "listing" of all the values in the lists, but only once Iterate through the HashSet 2.1 With each iteration perform ArrayList.contains() 2.2 If none of the ArrayLists return false for the operation add the number to a "master list" which contains all the final values. If you can come up with something faster or more efficient, funny thing is as I wrote this I came up with a reasonably good solution. But I'll still post it just in case it is useful for someone else. But of course if you have a better way please do let me know.

    I almost have this solved but need a little push. Here's what I have: In the database I have a field called active that is a bit field (True/False) I have placed a dropdownlist on the View form like this: <%= Html.DropDownList("lstActive", new SelectList((IEnumerable)ViewData["ActiveList"])) %> In my controller, I simply have this code to generate the True/False in the dropdown: List<string> activeList = new List<string>(); activeList.Add("True"); activeList.Add("False"); ViewData["ActiveList"] = new SelectList(activeList); I want to bind to the field in the database called active and select it in the dropdown. When I view it like this I get this: So the questions are these: Obviously I am not pointing to the Value and Text property but what is that in this case? And how do I select the value that is in the database? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Money type field returns Dollar, but regional set to UK (Windows 7)

    Hi, On a Windows 7 machine with Advantage Data Architect version 9.10.0.11, money type data is returned as Dollars, instead of Pounds. Sometimes, it will suddenly switch to Pounds, without me changing any settings. Everything else returns Pounds correctly (regional settings is UK with £ as the currency symbol). Has anyone else had this problem and/or found a solution? If I run any reports using the money data type field I can't be sure that it's going to be accurate. And no, I can't change the field type and handle the currency symbol myself. Any help would be appreciated.

    I am trying to use an <%# Eval("name") %> to be the title of my page. I can't seem to figure out any solutions online. I have tried the other StackOverflow question but that did now work either. The page is a bio.aspx and on the site it is displayed as bio.aspx?id=123 so the page title needs to vary depending on the ID. I figured I could just use the Eval("name") but no luck yet. I currently am using JavaScript: window.onload = function() { document.title = '<%# Eval("name") %> | Title Line'; } This works, but it still leaves the title tags empty, and it's kind of spammy. I can get both effects to work individually but when I try to combine them fadeOut works. Most of the examples aren't detailed enough, or do stuff via code, but I'd like to take advantage of the IDE as much as possible. Whats the difference between ItemsSource and DataContext? I'd like to bind it to just a List for starters. I don't need SQL or databases or anything fancy. Where would I declare my list? In MainWindow.xaml.cs? How do I get it to appear in that dialog?

    Hello, I need to write a bunch of unsigned integers to std::ofstream in binary mode: std::ofstream f; f.open("some path", std::ios::out | std::ios::binary); // some loop { unsigned int k = get_k(); // may product numbers from 0 to 65535 f << k; } f.close(); They are written to the output file "as is" w/o any delimiter. So when I'm trying to read them back (expecting to get what I wrote) using std::ifstream I get very strange values. What I'm doing wrong? Or I should to put ' ' (space) to the stream after any added number to separate them? Thanks.

    I'm getting average prices by week on 7 million rows, it's taking around 30 seconds to get the job done. This is the simple query: SELECT AVG(price) as price, yearWEEK(FROM_UNIXTIME(timelog)) as week from pricehistory where timelog > $range and product_id = $id GROUP BY week The only week that actually gets data changed and is worth averaging every time is always the last one, so this calculation for the whole period is a waste of resources. I just wanted to know if mysql has a tool to help out on this.

Time interval Group Measurement value(one of several to choose from) Device All these are orthogonal giving me a 4-D dataset to present. There are some simplifications where one parameter is the same for all and other parameters are merged. Still it appears as there are situations where all values are wanted on the report. In short the report should both be simple to overview and contain details. There will also be an interface where the user setup the range and granularity for each parameter. The most naive solution would be to have a 2D table where each cell contain another table with values of the remaining two dimensions. This is technically feasible but I'm worried that it would become hard to overview. Another approach is to present first two dimensions in a 2D table and the remaining parameters in groups Are there any good method to address this kind of issue?
