• Display custom file format's metadata in Windows Explorer

  When viewing a jpg or mp3 in Windows Explorer, the bottom pane shows metadata from the media file. Furthermore, for video and picture, the icon is shown as a preview of the media. Is there a way to add this kind of functionality to windows for custom file types that aren't supported by default in windows? Is there a certain sort of plugin or extension that must be written? If so, how is it implemented? Thank you.

• Highlighting company name in Eclipse stack traces

  Is there a way to make Eclipse highlight com.company (where for company substitute the name of the company you work for) in stack traces? It would make it fractionally easier and faster to home in on which parts of the stack trace were ours, and which were third-party code. I tried the logview plugin here, and while it does work, it makes the location information in the stack traces unclickable, which means I would waste more time than I would save.

  It seems that whenever I disconnect from clojure slime session, I cannot reconnect again. I am using leiningen to start the swank session (with lein-swank plugin). So, every time I quit emacs (I know I shouldn't) or reboot/logout I have to restart both slime and swank. Is there a way to re-connect to a slime/clojure-swank session?

  I want to use jquery Chili plugin for syntax highlighting a piece of code thats generated on the fly, but its not working for the same, because the code is inserted into the #output div on page load.   I'm writing a netscape iplanet plugin (on solaris/C using eclipse) which is basically a shared object with specific entry points, and I'd like to be able to debug the shared object with eclipse's debugger (gdb). I remember doing something similar in AIX where you could make xldb attach to a running process. Is it possible to get eclipse to run gdb to attach to a running binary? And should I expect grief because I want to debug a dynamically loaded piece of code?

  Hello, I currently am displaying dates as follows "yyyy/mm/dd" in a wordpress blog (it needs to be input in this format because a plugin is using it to define a post expiration date). • Firebug is throwing a ' $( ' error?

  I am getting a strange error in Firebug, that I am not getting in Webkit. The error comes up as ' $( ' in firebug. Here's the code that is supposedly causing it to flip: $.getScript("http://kylehotchkiss.com/min/?g=packageHome", function() { $(".countdown").countdown({ until: new Date(2010, 6 - 1, 5), layout:'{dn} {dl}' }); }); The error isn't specific to the countdown script, it's just giving me an error trying to call any plugin I just loaded in firefox. • Authlogic_OpenID - "uninitialized constant Rack::OpenID"

  So I followed the railscast tutorial (http://railscasts.com/episodes/170-openid-with-authlogic) and used the old version of the plugin from Ryan's git file. I can now successfuly create/register a user using OpenID (Google), but I cannot log in with this user. When I submit the OpenID that has been registered, I get "uninitialized constant Rack::OpenID".
