Enterprise SSO & Identity management / recommendations

Hello Friends, We've discussed SSO before. I would like to re-enhance the conversation with defined requirements, taking into consideration recent new developments. In the past week I've been doing market research looking for answers to the following key issues: The project should should be: Requirements SSO solution for web applications. Integrates into existing developed products. has Policy based password security (Length, Complexity, Duration and co) Security Policy can be managed using a web interface. Customizable user interface (the password prompt and co. screens). Highly available (99.9%) Scalable. Runs on Red Hat Linux. Nice to have Contains user Groups & Roles. Written in Java. Free Software (open source) solution. None of the solutions came up so far are "killer choice" which leads me to think I will be tooling several projects (OWASP, AcegiSecurity + X??) hence this discussion. We are ISV delivering front-end & backend application suite. The frontend is broken into several modules which should act as autonomous unit, from client point of view he uses the "application" - which leads to this discussion regrading SSO. I would appreciate people sharing their experience & ideas regarding the appropriete solutions. Parameter name: path Line 27 Position 79.'" (Compiler or xaml validation error). I have no idea where this Path comes from, neither does my example show anything of it. If you doubleclick the error, it points to the end of the first line. Did anybody encounter such a problem and has a solution for it? Flex AdvancedDataGrid - ColumnOrder With Formatter and ItemRenderer Question For Experts

I have a advanceddatagrid that has around 15 columns. Some are string, some are numbers. I have shown 4 columns below. The number columns have formatting done for zero precision and 2 digits precision. The itemRenderer is just to show Blue Color if the number is +ve and Red Color if the number is -ve. It looks something like below ... I am trying to save the users setting of column order when he closes the application and reload with the same order when the user opens the applications. I am using SharedObjects and below is the code. for(var i:int=0; i< adgrid.columns.length;i++){ var columnObject:Object = new Object(); columnObject.columnDataField = adgrid.columns[i].dataField as String; columnObject.columnHeader =adgrid.columns[i].headerText as String; columnObject.width = adgrid.columns[i].width; columnArray.push(columnObject); } and then I save the columnArray to SharedObject. I retrive them using the below code for(var i:int=0;i adgrid.columns[i].dataField =columnArray[i].columnDataField; adgrid.columns[i].headerText =columnArray[i].columnHeader; adgrid.columns[i].width = columnArray[i].width; } How can I save and reload the Formatter and ItemRenderer data . I am having trouble saving the formatter and itemrenderer and reloading it again. I would really appreciate if you can shown the code. How can I reshuffle the columns but can preserve all the properties of it to the sharedobject and recover it again.

Hello, I'm trying to make a small application or demo thats a tab bar application. Each bar item loads in a new view. Xcode Link Frameworks "Relative to Current SDK" Doesn't Work When Mixing Mac Framework and iPhone St

I have a framework of code I maintain. It's got mac and iphone objective-c code. And some of it is shared. I'm not having any problems with code. It's a problem with Xcode. Let's just call my framework "AwesomeKit" for this problem. The first thing I did was create an xcode Framework project called "AwesomeKit". Add source files to it, link against the common mac frameworks: foundation, cocoa, carbon, etc. It compiles fine. Then, add a new "static library" target, let's call it "AwesomeKit-iPhone" and set the base SDK in the build settings to iphone device 3.1.3. The problem comes when I try to add "Existing Frameworks" to the AweseomKit-iPhone target. -First change the current build target to AwesomeKit-iPhone. -Right click on any group and select "Add Existing Frameworks..." -Choose UIKit.framework UIKit will immediately be highlighted red, as if it's missing. It is indeed missing because Xcode uses the "Relative SDK" setting from the "Mac OS 10.6" SDK. When it should be using it relative to the current target's base sdk iphone device 3.1.3. What the heck? Has anyone experienced this? This is really annoying.

Hello, I am still having trouble with my mysql server. It seems that since i optimize it, the tables were growing and now sometimes is very slow again. I have no idea of how to optimize more. mySQL server has 48GB of RAM and mysqld is using about 8, most of the tables are innoDB. Site has about 2000 users online. Binding WPF menu items to WPF Tab Control Items collection

I have a WPF Menu and a Tab control. I would like the list of menu items to be generated from the collection of TabItems on my tab control. I am binding my tab control to a collection to generate the TabItems. I have a TabItem style that uses a ContentPresenter to display the TabItem text in a TextBlock. When I bind the tab items to my menu the menu items are blank. I assume the menu items are looking for the Header property of the TabItems which I am not using. Is there a workaround for my scenario? Is it possible to bind to the Header property of the tab item, when I do not know the number of tabs in advance? Below is a copy of my xaml declarations. I am trying to generate an RSS Google Merchant, using SimpleXML. Am I missing something?

WPF: Animation Only Runs Once

Very basic (I think) animation question. My animation only runs the first time "MyProp" gets set to false. If it gets set a second time, the animation doesn't run. I know my data trigger is getting hit, as the sound DOES play. The effect I want is for the animation to run, then reset the target property back to what it was before the animation occurred (thus the FillBehavior=Stop). How to draw an overlay on a SurfaceView used by Camera on Android?

I have a simple program that draws the preview of the Camera into a SurfaceView. What I'm trying to do is using the onPreviewFrame method, which is invoked each time a new frame is drawn into the SurfaceView, in order to execute the invalidate method which is supposed to invoke the onDraw method. In fact, the onDraw method is being invoked, but nothing there is being printed (I guess the camera preview is overwriting the text I'm trying to draw). OutOfMemory exception when loading an image in .Net

Hi, Im loading an image from a SQL CE db and then trying to load that into a PictureBox. I am saving the image like this: if (ofd.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { picArtwork.ImageLocation = ofd.FileName; using (System.IO.FileStream fs = new System.IO.FileStream(ofd.FileName, System.IO.FileMode.Open)) { byte[] imageAsBytes = new byte[fs.Length]; fs.Read(imageAsBytes, 0, imageAsBytes.Length); thisItem.Artwork = imageAsBytes; fs.Close(); } } and then saving to the Db using LINQ To SQL. I load the image back like so: using (FileStream fs = new FileStream(@"C:\Temp\img.jpg", FileMode.CreateNew ,FileAccess.Write )) { byte[] img = (byte[])encoding.GetBytes(ThisFilm.Artwork.ToString()); fs.Write(img, 0, img.Length); } but am getting an OutOfMemoryException. I have read that this is a slight red herring and that there is probably something wrong with the filetype, but i cant figure what. Any ideas? In WPF 3D, why can't a perspective camera's LookDirection be straight down?

I'm attempting to position my perspective camera 30 units above the origin and pointing straight down. If I set the LookDirection of the camera to "0,0,-1", however, everything disappears. I have to make it "0.01,0.01,-1" for it to work. Changing UITableViewCell textLabel background color to clear

In my app i have a table view with customViewCells. i subclassed the UITableViewCell class and added an image that will load async and for the text i use cell.textLabel.text = @"someThext". for the cells the background color is set alternatively to [UIColor darkGrayColor] and whitecolor. When i run the app in the simulator and on the pone the textLabel of the cell has the background white. I want to set it to be clear, because i want the background color of the cell to be full not a strip then white then another strip. in the init method of my custom cell i added hoping that the white will turn into red but it doesn't have any effect. [self.textLabel setBackgroundColor:[UIColor redColor]]; i tried also self.textLabel.backgroundColor = [UIColor redColor]; but this also didn't work...if i add a UILabel as a subview the background color of the label can be set..but i don't want to do that because when i rotate the phone i want my labels to auto enlarge... any ideas why setting the background color of cell.textLabel doesn't work? thank you

I have code to work out which Fruit or Color I would like to differentiate (by color/bold) in the code behind, but I can't figure out, especially given the custom listbox display, how I could go about setting a particular item to a different color/bold. Can't hit breakpoint in ASP.NET web app (Stop debugging in progress... popup in VS)

Hi, I am trying to debug some code in my ASP.NET web app. I set a breakpoint in one of the page events of the page's codebehind, and this once came up with a special icon in place of the red breakpoint saying symbols have not been loaded and the breakpoint will not be hit. This error has not repeated itself but why can't I hit the breakpoint? Also, when I press stop, I get a popup in VS stating: Stop Debugging In Progres... Debugging is being stopped but is not yet complete. You can force debugging to stop completely, but any processes attached may terminate. This window will automatically close when debugging has completely stopped. CSS Rotation & IE: absolute positioning seems to break IE

I'm trying to rotate a variety of text blocks so they are vertically oriented, and position them in very specific locations on a diagram which will be previewed and then printed. CSS rotates the text very nicely in IE, FF, even Opera. But when I try to position a rotated element, IE 7 & 8 (not worried about 6) breaks completely and the element stays in its original location. Any way around this? I really need to-the-pixel control of where these labels are located. Why would autoconf/automake project link against installed library instead of local development libr

I'm creating a library libgdata that has some tests and non-installed programs. I am running into the problem that once I've installed the library once, the programs seem to be linking to the installed version and not the local version in ../src/libgdata.la any longer. What could cause this? Am I doing something horribly wrong? Here is what my test/Makefile.am looks like: INCLUDES = -I$(top_srcdir)/src/ -I$(top_srcdir)/test/ # libapiutil contains all of our dependencies! If i remove the installed files, the local changes to src/* are picked up just fine. UPDATE 2 I did two tests. First, I did this after blowing away my dev-install directory (--prefix) and in that case, it creates test/.libs/lt-gdatacalendar. Once I have installed the library, though, it creates test/.libs/gdatacalendar instead. The output of ldd is the same for both with one exception: # before install # ldd test/.libs/lt-gdatacalendar libgdata.so.0 => /home/altern8/workspaces/4355/libgdata/src/.libs/libgdata.so.0 (0xb7c32000) # after install # ldd test/.libs/gdatacalendar libgdata.so.0 => /home/altern8/workspaces/4355/dev-install/lib/libgdata.so.0 (0xb7c87000) What would cause this to create lt-gdatacalendar in one case but gdatacalendar in another? Problem reintegrating a branch into the trunk in Subversion 1.5

I'm trying to reintegrate a development branch into the trunk in my Subversion 1.5 repository. I merged all the changes from the trunk to the development branch prior to this operation. Now when I try to reintegrate the changes from the branch I get the following error message: Command: Reintegrate merge https://dev/svn/branches/devel into C:\trunk Error: Reintegrate can only be used if revisions 280 through 325 were previously Error: merged from https://dev/svn/trunk to the reintegrate Error: source, but this is not the case: Error: branches/devel/images/test Error: Missing ranges: /trunk/images/test:280-324 ... The message then goes on complaining about some folders in my project. But when I try to merge the changes from the trunk to the development branch again, TortoiseSVN tells me that there's nothing to merge (as I already merged all the changes before): Command: Merging revisions 1-HEAD of https://dev/svn/trunk into C:\devel, respecting ancestry Completed: C:\devel I'm trying to follow the instructions from here: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.5/svn.branchmerge.basicmerging.html, but there's nothing about solving such a problem. Any ideas? Perhaps I should just delete the trunk and then make a copy of my branch? But I'm not really sure if it's safe.

I have got an error while trying to upgrade our large project to SL4. I didn't write the original theme and my theme knowlege isn't great. In my demo app I have a Label and a LabelHeader(which i have created and is just a derived class from Label with DefaultStyleKey = typeof(LabelHeader); I am styling lthem like this: <Style TargetType="themeControls:LabelHeader"> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate> <DataInput:Label FontSize="{TemplateBinding FontSize}" FontFamily="{TemplateBinding FontFamily}" Foreground="{TemplateBinding Foreground}" Content="{TemplateBinding Content}"/> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> <Setter Property="FontFamily" Value="Tahoma"/> <Setter Property="FontSize" Value="20"/> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="Red"/> </Style> This works in SL3 but in SL4 I get: Error: Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application Code: 2500 Category: ParserError Message: The property 'Content' was not found in type 'System.Windows.Controls.Control'. File: Line: 9 Position: 168 If I change this: Content="{TemplateBinding Content}" to Content="XXX" Then there is no error but , of course, I get XXX in my label rather than the content I set in XAML on the page Any ideas how I can get this working? Silverlight Image Loading Question

I'm playing around with Silverlight Images and a listbox. Here's the scenario. Using WCF I grab some images out of my database and, using a custom class, add items to a listbox. It's working great right now. The images load and appear in the listbox, just like I want them to. I want to refine and improve my control just a little more so here's what I've done. <ListBox x:Name="lbMedia" Background="Transparent" ScrollViewer.HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Disabled" ScrollViewer.VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"> <ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <c:WrapPanel></c:WrapPanel> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <im:MediaManagerItem></im:MediaManagerItem> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> Just a simple listbox. The datatemplate is a custom control and literally it contains a contentpresenter, nothing more. Now the class that I use as the ItemSource has a Source property. The images that I'm downloading take about 2-5 seconds to download. Now for the problem / fine tuning. Right now my code will check if the source is null and if it is, return a loading element, and run the background worker to get the image. Once the background worker finishes, set the source to the new downloaded image. I want to be able to set the Source property AFTER the image has fully downloaded. Right now my loading element appears for a brief second, then there's nothing for 2-5 seconds until the image finishes downloading. I want the loading elements to stick around until the image is completely ready but I'm having troubles doing this. I've tried adding a a listener to the ImageOpened event and update the Source property then, but it doesn't work. Thanks in advance.
