  • Flash Security Error Accessing URL with crossdomain.xml

    - by user163757
    Hello, I recently deployed a Flash application to a server, and am now experiencing errors when making HTTPService requests. I have put what I believe to be the most permissive crossdomain.xml possible in the wwwroot folder, and still get the errors. Interestingly enough, the error only seems to occur when the request is made from a direct user interaction (i.e. button click). The application makes other requests that are initiated by other means(i.e creationComplete) , and they seem to work as expected. Anyone see anything wrong with the crossdomain.xml, or have any other suggestions? • WCF, ASMX Basic HTTP binding and IIS

    - by Brennan Mann
    Hello, I have been doing a lot of work with WCF "self" hosted applications. I recently was requested to write a web service where the calling client was a Linux based program named "WGET". I would like to use WCF instead of a traditional ASMX web service. The web service is returning a standard XML response. I am not sure of the underlining details between the two technologies but I know WCF is the proper route. I created a WCF service to be hosted in IIS ( using basicHttpBinding). 1.) Did classic ASMX web services ( standard HTTP POST/GET) use SOAP to return responses? I created an class from XSD for the web service response. What is really going on behind the scenes? Is there just special XML HTTP headers that know how to handle to response? Is the response not wrapped in SOAP? The traditional ASMX web service worked perfectly with the class I generated using the .Net "XSD" program. 2.) I want to use WCF for this service. Will using basicHttpBinding work? As I have read, that is the correct binding to use for ASMX clients. Does this use SOAP, standard HTTP headers, or something else? 3.) This is a dumb question because I have not done a lot of web service programming. I noticed on the ASMX default landing page there were examples for responses and code to invoke the functionality. When I create the same service using WCF, I had to create a client application to perform these tasks. Is there a way to expose the WCF endpoint like a classic ASMX service or is the WSDL the only route? As always, I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks, Brennan

  • Replacing a Namespace with XSLT

    - by er4z0r
    Hi I want to work around a 'bug' in certain RSS-feeds, which use an incorrect namespace for the mediaRSS module. I tried to do it by manipulating the DOM programmatically, but using XSLT seems more flexible to me. Example: <media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss" url="http://www.suedkurier.de/storage/pic/dpa/infoline/brennpunkte/4311018_0_merkelxI_24280028_original.large-4-3-800-199-0-3131-2202.jpg" /> <media:thumbnail url="http://www.suedkurier.de/storage/pic/dpa/infoline/brennpunkte/4311018_0_merkelxI_24280028_original.large-4-3-800-199-0-3131-2202.jpg" /> Where the namespace must be http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/ (mind the slash). This is my stylesheet: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:template match="//*[namespace-uri()='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss']"> <xsl:element name="{local-name()}" namespace="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" > <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|*|text()" /> </xsl:element> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Unfortunately the result of the transformation is an invalid XML and my RSS-Parser (ROME Library) does not parse the feed anymore: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Root element not set at org.jdom.Document.getRootElement(Document.java:218) at com.sun.syndication.io.impl.RSS090Parser.isMyType(RSS090Parser.java:58) at com.sun.syndication.io.impl.FeedParsers.getParserFor(FeedParsers.java:72) at com.sun.syndication.io.WireFeedInput.build(WireFeedInput.java:273) at com.sun.syndication.io.WireFeedInput.build(WireFeedInput.java:251) ... 8 more What is wrong with my stylesheet?

  • Java SAX ContentHandler to create new objects for every root node

    - by behrk2
    Hello everyone, I am using SAX to parse some XML. Let's say I have the following XML document: <queue> <element A> 1 </element A> <element B> 2 </element B> </queue> <queue> <element A> 1 </element A> <element B> 2 </element B> </queue> <queue> <element A> 1 </element A> <element B> 2 </element B> </queue> And I also have an Elements class: public static Elements { String element; public Elements() { } public void setElement(String element){ this.element = element; } public String getElement(){ return element; } } I am looking to write a ContentHandler that follows the following algorithm: Vector v; for every <queue> root node { Element element = new Element(); for every <element> child node{ element.setElement(value of current element); } v.addElement(element); } So, I want to create a bunch of Element objects and add each to a vector...with each Element object containing its own String values (from the child nodes found within the root nodes. I know how to parse out the elements and all of those details, but can someone show me a sample of how to structure my ContentHandler to allow for the above algorithm? Thanks!

  • Problem parsing an atom feed using simplexml_load_file(), can't get an attribute.

    - by Craig Ward
    Hi, I am trying to create a social timeline. I pull in feeds form certain places so I have a timeline of thing I have done. The problem I am having is with Google reader Shared Items. I want to get the time at which I shared the item which is contained in <entry gr:crawl-timestamp-msec="1269088723811"> Trying to get the element using $date = $xml->entry[$i]->link->attributes()->gr:crawl-timestamp-msec; fails because of the : after gr which causes a PHP error. I could figure out how to get the element, so thought I would change the name using the code below but it throws the following error Warning: simplexml_load_file() [function.simplexml-load-file]: I/O warning : failed to load external entity "<?xml version="1.0"?><feed xmlns:idx="urn:atom-extension:indexing" xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" xmlns <?php $get_feed = file_get_contents('http://www.google.com/reader/public/atom/user/03120403612393553979/state/com.google/broadcast'); $old = "gr:crawl-timestamp-msec"; $new = "timestamp"; $xml_file = str_replace($old, $new, $get_feed); $xml = simplexml_load_file($xml_file); $i = 0; foreach ($xml->entry as $value) { $id = $xml->entry[$i]->id; $date = date('Y-m-d H:i:s', strtotime($xml->entry[$i]->attributes()->timestamp )); $text = $xml->entry[$i]->title; $link = $xml->entry[$i]->link->attributes()->href; $source = "googleshared"; echo "date = $date<br />"; $sql="INSERT IGNORE INTO timeline (id,date,text,link, source) VALUES ('$id', '$date', '$text', '$link', '$source')"; mysql_query($sql); $i++; }` Could someone point me in the right direction please.   • Is this a valid XPath expression?

  • Localization approach for XSLT + RESX in ASP.NET

    - by frankadelic
    I have an ASP.NET web app where the back end data (XML format) is transformed using XSLT, producing XHTML which is output into the page. Simplified code: XmlDocument xmlDoc = MyRepository.RetrieveXmlData(keyValue); XslCompiledTransform xsl = new XslCompiledTransform(); xsl.Load(pathToXsl, XsltSettings.TrustedXslt, null); StringWriter stringWriter = new StringWriter(); xsl.Transform(xmlDoc, null, stringWriter); myLiteral.Text = stringWriter.ToString(); Currently my XSL file contains the XHTML markup elements, as well as text labels, which are currently in English. for example: <p>Title:<br /> <xsl:value-of select="title"/> </p> <p>Description:<br /> <xsl:value-of select="desc"/> </p> I would like the text labels (Title and Description above) to be localized. I was thinking of using .NET resource files (.resx), but I don't know how the resx string resources would get pulled in to the XSLT when the transformation takes place. I would prefer not to have locale-specific copies of the XSLT file, since that means a lot of duplicate transformation logic. (NOTE: the XML data is already localized, so I don't need to change that)

  • Using jQuery to parse an RSS feed, having trouble in firefox and chrome.

    - by sjmarshy
    I used a jQuery library called jFeed to parse and display my blogs rss feed on my personal website. It worked perfectly well at first, but upon checking later it simply displays nothing, except in Internet Explorer, where it seems to work fine. After checking the javascript console using Firebug in Firefox, it shows an error in the 'XML' tab as follows: XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: moz-nullprincipal:{3f8a0c62-32b4-4f63-b69c- 9ef402b40b64} Line Number 1, Column 1: ^ Though I have no idea what to do with this information. Here is the code I used to get the rss feed and display it (it is almost exactly the same as the example provided by the jFeed website): jQuery.getFeed({ url: 'http://sammarshalldesign.co.uk/blog/wordpress/?feed=rss2', success: function(feed) { var html = ''; for(var i = 0; i < feed.items.length && i < 5; i++) { var item = feed.items[i]; html += '<h3>' + '<a href="' + item.link + '">' + item.title + '</a>' + '</h3>'; html += '<div>' + item.description + '</div>'; }//end for jQuery('#feed').append(html); }//end feed function });//end getfeed Any help would be really appreciated.

  • How to use jaxp 3 with jdk 1.6?

    - by Michal
    I'm trying to migrate application from jdk 1.5 to jdk 1.6 without introducing any changes visible to the end user. Application's output is an xml generated using jaxp which is a part of the jdk libraries. Since jaxp versions are different in jdk 1.5 and 1.6, the resulting xml looks different in each version. An example: DatatypeFatory.newInstance().newDuration(60) produces 'PT2H17M0.000S' in jdk 1.5 and 'P0Y0M0DT2H17M0.000S' in jdk 1.6. Both are correct, but i want to avoid any visible changes. Classes like DatatypeFactory have a mechanism which allows specifying which implementation should be used, but it relies on specifying full qualified class name. So theoretically i could download jaxp jars with the same version which is used in jdk 1.5 and let the application use them. Unfortunately the package and class names are the same in both versions, so i would have to somehow tell java to load classes from jar and not jdk. I was trying to put jaxp jars at the beginning of the classpath, but it didn't help. Is it possible to tell java to load classes from external jar and not jdk libraries? Can i solve this problem in any other way? Thanks in advance

  • Get Eclipse to recognize the maps api

    - by NickTFried
    Hi I'm developing an Android app and trying to incorporate maps into one of my sub-activities. Having followed all of the instructions from Android, my java file will not recognize the "MapActivity" or the import statements to include the needed api. Here is my XML manifest and my class file. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <uses-permission android:name="android.permissions.INTERNET"/> <uses-permission android:name="android.permissions.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION"/> <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/app_name"> <uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps" /> <activity android:name=".CadetCommand" android:label="@string/app_name"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> <activity android:name="RedLight"></activity> <activity android:name="PTCalculator"></activity> </application> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="7"/> here is my java file: package edu.elon.cs.mobile; import com.google.android.maps.MapActivity; import com.google.android.maps.MapView; import android.os.Bundle; public class LandNav extends MapActivity{ } Any suggestion would help.

  • How to use XPath to filter elements by TextContent? get parent by axis?

    - by Michael Mao
    Hi all: I've found a similar question on SO, however, that seems not exactly what I wanna achieve: Say, this is a sample XML file: <root> <item> <id isInStock="true">10001</id> <category>Loose Balloon</category> </item> <item> <id isInStock="true">10001</id> <category>Bouquet Balloon</category> </item> <item> <id isInStock="true">10001</id> <category>Loose Balloon</category> </item> </root> If I wanna get a "filtered" subset of the item elements from this XML, how could I use an XPath expression to directly address that? XPathExpression expr = xpath.compile("/root/item/category/text()"); I now know this would evaluate to be the collection of all the TextContent from the categories, however, that means I have to use a collection to store the values, then iterate, then go back to grab other related info such as the item id again. Another question is : how could I refer to the parent node properly? Say, this xpath expression would get me the collection of all the id nodes, right? But what I want is the collection of item nodes: XPathExpression expr = xpath.compile("/root/item/id[@isInStock='true']"); I know I should use the "parent" axis to refer to that, but I just cannot make it right... Is there a better way of doing this sort of thing? Learning the w3cschools tutorials now... Sorry I am new to XPath in Java, and thanks a lot in advance.

  • Filtering Wikipedia's XML dump: error on some accents

    - by streetpc
    I'm trying to index Wikpedia dumps. My SAX parser make Article objects for the XML with only the fields I care about, then send it to my ArticleSink, which produces Lucene Documents. I want to filter special/meta pages like those prefixed with Category: or Wikipedia:, so I made an array of those prefixes and test the title of each page against this array in my ArticleSink, using article.getTitle.startsWith(prefix). In English, everything works fine, I get a Lucene index with all the pages except for the matching prefixes. In French, the prefixes with no accent also work (i.e. filter the corresponding pages), some of the accented prefixes don't work at all (like Catégorie:), and some work most of the time but fail on some pages (like Wikipédia:) but I cannot see any difference between the corresponding lines (in less). I can't really inspect all the differences in the file because of its size (5 GB), but it looks like a correct UTF-8 XML. If I take a portion of the file using grep or head, the accents are correct (even on the incriminated pages, the <title>Catégorie:something</title> is correctly displayed by grep). On the other hand, when I rectreate a wiki XML by tail/head-cutting the original file, the same page (here Catégorie:Rock par ville) gets filtered in the small file, not in the original… Any idea ? Alternatives I tried: Getting the file (commented lines were tried wihtout success): FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(new File(xmlFileName)); //ReaderInputStream ris = ReaderInputStream.forceEncodingInputStream(fis, "UTF-8" ); //(custom function opening the stream, reading it as UFT-8 into a Reader and returning another byte stream) //InputSource is = new InputSource( fis ); is.setEncoding("UTF-8"); parser.parse(fis, handler); Filtered prefixes: ignoredPrefix = new String[] {"Catégorie:", "Modèle:", "Wikipédia:", "Cat\uFFFDgorie:", "Mod\uFFFDle:", "Wikip\uFFFDdia:", //invalid char "Catégorie:", "Modèle:", "Wikipédia:", // UTF-8 as ISO-8859-1 "Image:", "Portail:", "Fichier:", "Aide:", "Projet:"}; // those last always work

  • Castle Windsor Dynamic Property in XML config

    - by haxelit
    I'm trying to set the DataContext on ApplicationMainWindow which is a WPF window. When I set it up in the XML like so it leaves the DataContext null: <!-- View Models --> <component id="mainwindow.viewmodel" type="ProjectTracking.ApplicationMainViewModel, ProjectTracking" inspectionBehavior="none" lifestyle="transient"> </component> <!-- UI Components --> <component id="mainwindow.view" type="ProjectTracking.ApplicationMainWindow, ProjectTracking" inspectionBehavior="none" lifestyle="transient"> <parameters> <DataContext>${mainwindow.viewmodel}</DataContext> </parameters> </component> But if I do it this way via C# it works. _Kernel.Register( ... Component.For<ApplicationMainWindow>() .DynamicParameters( (k,d) => { d["DataContext"] = k[typeof(ApplicationMainViewModel)]; }) ); I'm instantiating my window like so: Window window = _Kernel[typeof(ApplicationMainWindow)] as Window; When I configure windsor via the xml config it leaves my DataContext NULL, but when I configure it via code it works like a charm. Do I need to use code to pull this off, or should it work via XML config ? Thanks, Raul

  • Using .NET XmlSerializer with get properties and setter functions

    - by brone
    I'm trying to use XmlSerializer from C# to save out a class that has some values that are read by properties (the code being just a simple retrieval of field value) but set by setter functions (since there is a delegate called if the value changes). What I'm currently doing is this sort of thing. The intended use is to use the InT property to read the value, and use SetInT to set it. Setting it has side-effects, so a method is more appropriate than a property here. XmlSerializationOnly_InT exists solely for the benefit of the XmlSerializer (hence the name), and shouldn't be used by normal code. class X { public double InT { get { return _inT; } } public void SetInT(double newInT) { if (newInT != _inT) { _inT = newInT; Changed();//includes delegate call; potentially expensive } } private double _inT; // not called by normal code, as the property set is not just a simple // field set or two. [XmlElement(ElementName = "InT")] public double XmlSerializationOnly_InT { get { return InT; } set { SetInT(value); } } } This works, it's easy enough to do, and the XML file looks like you'd expect. It's manual labour though, and a bit ugly, so I'm only somewhat satisfied. What I'd really like is to be able to tell the XML serialization to read the value using the property, and set it using the setter function. Then I wouldn't need XmlSerializationOnly_InT at all. I seem to be following standard practise by distinguishing between property sets and setter functions in this way, so I'm sure I'm not the only person to have encountered this (though google suggests I might be). What have others done in this situation? Is there some easy way to persuade the XmlSerializer to handle this sort of thing better? If not, is there perhaps some other easy way to do it?

  • XPath expression with condition on multiple ancestors

    - by Rest Wing
    The application I am developing receives an XML structure similar to following: <Root> <Valid> <Child name="Child1" /> <Container> <Child name="Child2" /> </Container> <Container> <Container> <Child name="Child3"/> <Child name="Child4"/> </Container> </Container> <Wrapper> <Child name="Child5" /> </Wrapper> <Wrapper> <Container> <Child name="Child19" /> </Container> </Wrapper> <Container> <Wrapper> <Child name="Child6" /> </Wrapper> </Container> <Container> <Wrapper> <Container> <Child name="Child20" /> </Container> </Wrapper> </Container> </Valid> <Invalid> <Child name="Child7" /> <Container> <Child name="Child8" /> </Container> <Container> <Container> <Child name="Child9"/> <Child name="Child10"/> </Container> </Container> <Wrapper> <Child name="Child11" /> </Wrapper> <Container> <Wrapper> <Child name="Child12" /> </Wrapper> </Container> </Invalid> </Root> I need to get a list of of Child elements under following conditions: Child is n generation descendant of Valid ancestor. Child may be m generation descendant of Container ancestor which is o generation descendant of Valid ancestor. Valid ancestors for Child element are Container elements as m generation ancestors and Valid element as first generation ancestor. where m, n, o are natural numbers. I need to write following XPath expressions Valid/Child Valid/Container/Child Valid/Container/Container/Child Valid/Container/Container/Container/Child ... as a single XPath expression. For provided example, the XPath expression would return only Child elements having name attribute equal to Child1, Child2, Child3 and Child4. The closest I have come to solution is following expression. Valid/Child | Valid//*[self::Container]/Child However, this would select Child element with name attribute equal to Child19 and Child20. Does XPath syntax supports either optional occurrence of an element or setting condition similar to self in previous example to all ancestors between Child and Valid elements?

  • How to emulate "-lib foo.jar" from _within_ build.xml

    - by Thorbjørn Ravn Andersen
    By specifying "-lib foo.jar" to ant I get the behaviour that the classes in foo.jar is added to the ant classloader and are available for various tasks taking a class name argument. I'd like to be able to specify the same behaviour but only from inside build.xml (so we can do this on a vanilla ant). For taskdefs we have functioning code looking like: <taskdef resource="net/sf/antcontrib/antlib.xml" description="for/foreach tasks"> <classpath> <pathelement location="${active.workspace}/ant-contrib-1.X/lib/ant-contrib.jar" /> </classpath> </taskdef> where the definition is completely provided from the ant-contrib.jar listed. What is the equivalent mechanism for the "global" ant classpath? (I have thought out that this is the way to get <javac> use ecj-3.5.jar to compile with on a JRE - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2364006/specifying-the-eclipse-compiler-completely-from-within-build-xml - in a way compatible with ant 1.7. Better suggestions are welcome :) EDIT: It appears that the about-to-be-released version 1.0 of ant4eclipse includes ecj. This does not answer the question, but may solve my basic problem.

I've searched google's official documentation and I don't believe the manifest lists any elements which would invalidate the program; the only hardware requirement specified is landscape mode, wakelock and external storage(neither which should cause it to be filtered for GTV according to the documentation) and I set the uses touchscreen elements "required" attribute to false. below is the AndroidManifest.xml for my project: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="com.whateversoft" android:versionCode="2" android:versionName="0.1" > <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="8" /> <application android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher" android:label="Color Shafted" android:theme="@style/Theme.NoBackground" android:debuggable="false"> <activity android:label="Color Shafted" android:name=".colorshafted.ColorShafted" android:configChanges = "keyboard|keyboardHidden|orientation" android:screenOrientation = "landscape"> <!-- Set as the default run activity --> <intent-filter > <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> <activity android:label="Color Shafted Settings" android:name=".colorshafted.Settings" android:theme="@android:style/Theme" android:configChanges = "keyboard|keyboardHidden"> <!-- --> </activity> </application> <!-- DEFINE PERMISSIONS FOR CAPABILITIES --> <uses-permission android:name = "android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"/> <uses-permission android:name = "android.permission.WAKE_LOCK"/> <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.touchscreen" android:required="false" /> <!-- END OF PERMISSIONS FOR CAPABILITIES --> </manifest> I'm about to start promoting the app after the next major release so its been kind of a bummer since I can't seem to get this to work. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance : )

    Create a DTD to record the sellers of merchandise to the Second-hand shop. Each seller has the child elements sellerID (in the format KSXXXXXXX), name, address, phone and sighted_identification. ? the name element has child elements of title and firstname and surname ? the address element has child elements address_line, suburb, state and postcode ? the sighted_identification can be any of the following – passport – drivers licence – birth certificate – Medicare card. –1. Create an XML document for five sellers including at least two with multiple sighted identifications. 3. Create an XSLT style sheet to logically display all of the seller’s details. Note 1: it may help you to create lists for both sellers and for sighted_identification. Note 2: The shops database stores the sighted identification of sellers as p, dl, bc and mc rather than by their full name, so creating an entity for each type is required. Note 3: Your XSLT should order the sellers by sellerID – for this reason don’t have them ordered correctly in the XML file – rather sort the sellerID within the XSLT. OUTPUT SHOULD BE SOMETHING LIKE THIS SELLER ID : NAME: ADDRESS : PHONE : IDENTIFICATION : IDENTIFICATION : IDENTIFICATION :

  • Converter problem with XmlDataProvider

    - by Andrew
    Sorry for this, I've just started programming with wpf. I can't seem to figure out why the following xaml displays "System.Xml.XmlElement" instead of the actual xml node content. This is displayed 5 times in the listbox whenever I run it. Not sure where I'm going wrong... <Window x:Class="TestBinding.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300"> <Window.Resources> <XmlDataProvider x:Key="myXmlSource" XPath="/root"> <x:XData> <root xmlns=""> <name>Steve</name> <name>Arthur</name> <name>Sidney</name> <name>Billy</name> <name>Steven</name> </root> </x:XData> </XmlDataProvider> <DataTemplate x:Key="shmooga"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding}"/> </DataTemplate> </Window.Resources> <Grid> <ListBox ItemTemplate="{StaticResource shmooga}" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource myXmlSource}, XPath=name}"> </ListBox> </Grid> </Window> Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

    - by drasto

So I would have something like this: public Label TitleLabel {get; private set;} public Label BottomLabel {get; private set;} public MyClass(){ TitleLabel = new Label(); TitleLabel.Content = "Some title"; BottomLabel = new Label(); BottomLabel.Content = // ?? what should be here ? How do I specify the binding // that binds BottomLabel.COntent to TitleLabel.Content? } What can I write instead of the comment ? Thank you for ansvers.
