• Redirect output logs of javax.xml.ws and com.sun.xml.ws

  I am working on a SOAP based web service, with Sun's Metro. So I tried the following trick: java.util.logging.Logger.getLogger("javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException").setLevel( java.util.logging.Level.OFF); it didn't worked neither. Any ideas ? It is not a big issue but it makes my catalina.log getting bigger & bigger and it's not the appropriate place for this kind of log. Chris

  Is there a built-in jQuery function for encoding a string as HTML? I'm trying to take the text a user types into a text box and then put that text into a different area of the page. My plan was to take the .val() from the text box and supply that to the .html() of the <div> element. Perhaps there's a good jQuery plugin to help with this (if it's not built-in) or a better way overall to accomplish this goal.

• Filtering a dropdown in Angular IE11 issue

  I have a requirement for a select html element that can be duplicated multiple times on a page. The options for these select elements all come from a master list. All of the select elements can only show all of the items in the master list that have not been selected in any of the other select elements unless they just were duplicated. So I wrote a custom filter to do this in Angular and it seems to work just fine provided you are not using IE11. In IE when you select a new item from a duplicated select element, it seems to select the option after the one you selected even though the model still has the correct one set. I realize this sounds convoluted, so I created a jFiddle example. Using IE 11 try these steps: Select Bender Click the duplicate link Select Fry Notice that the one that is selected is Leela but the model still has Fry (id:2) as the one selected Now if you do the same thing in Chrome everything works as expected. Can anyone tell me how I might get around this or what I might be doing wrong?   Hello, I have a few inputTextBoxes and I'm using document.activeElement to handle value changes of those inputboxes called by "change()" function of inputBox element. the problem is when I change the value of one of the inputboxes and then click in another inputbox... the function will get the document.activeElement of the new inputbox and will not work... how to make the function "know" that the one that changed was the previous one?

• determine if javascript blur/focusout event is from selecting flash or leaving browser

  In IE when I select flash, document.onfocusout is fired. When this event is fired, I would like to distinguish between selecting flash and leaving the browser. When I handle the callback, document.activeElement is the previous html element with focus (what I just left), so this is not helpful for solving this problem. Clearly there has been a change in focus to warrant calling the blur method -- is this information available somewhere? Or is there a better way to do this?

  Hello, I've got a Problem with ArrayList. I need it to store a result. Because I want to start with element n I tryed to give the ArrayList a capacity with ensureCapacity(n+1) to use set(n,x) but I get an IndexOutOfBoundsException. I tryed to store n add(x) before the use of set and this works. So I'd like to know why it doesn't work on my way and how to solve this because put n times a add(x) isn't a good style ;-) Best regards, Sebastian

  I've got a HashSet with a bunch of (you guessed it) integers in it. I want to turn it into an array, but calling hashset.toArray(); returns an array of Object type. This is fine, but is there a better way to cast it to an array of int, other than iterating through every element manually? A method I want to pass it to void doSomething(int[] arr) Won't accept the Object[] array, even if I try casting it like doSomething((int[]) hashSet.toArray());

• How to combine a relative top with an absolute bottom in CSS?

  I need to define a div which must stay with the top at the normal position, which differs from the top of the surrounding element: position:relative top:0 and which grows in the height up to the size of the surrounding element: position:absolute bottom:0 I have no idea how to combine the both. Whenever I use a relative box I loose the absolute bottom and whenever I use an absolute box I loose the relative top. Can anybody help me how to do this in CSS? • Any way to simulate MouseOver in WPF

  I'm working on a link control in WPF which fits the text with icon links case in the Windows UX Guide. What I want is to have some text within a hyperlink that appears to the right of some image. In my case I started off by using a TextBlock that contained a Hyperlink which then contained my image and some text. <TextBlock> <Hyperlink> <Rectangle Height="16" Width="16" Fill="{StaticResource MyIconBrush}" Stretch="UniformToFill" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Left" /> <Run>My link text</Run> </Hyperlink> </TextBlock> The problem with this however was that the image being taller than my text produced an effect where the text was aligned to the bottom. Unfortunately I haven't found any way to control the vertical alignment within the TextBlock or within the Hyperlink so I've resorted to attempting an alternative layout where the Hyperlink and the Rectangle that represent my vector icon are separated in order to get them to align properly like shown below. <TextBlock> <Hyperlink> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <Rectangle Height="16" Width="16" Fill="{StaticResource MyIconBrush}" Stretch="UniformToFill" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Left" /> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center"><Hyperlink>My link text<Hyperlink></TextBlock> </StackPanel> </Hyperlink> </TextBlock> The problem with this however is that now that my Icon and my Hyperlink are separated I don't get my MouseOver appearance of my link when I the mouse is over my icon and vise-versa. So this got me to thinking, how do I simulate MouseOver for a given control such with a checkbox where you get the MouseOver effect on the box when you actually mouse over it's associated text. I know in the HTML world the label element has a for attribute that can be used to specify which control it is labeling which will basically do what I'm looking for. Also I can imagine that in other scenarios it may be nice to have a label that when you mouse over shows a corresponding text box as if the mouse is over it and possibly when clicked focus is given to the corresponding text box as well. For now though I'm interested mainly in how to to get a label or label like element in WPF to act as a proxy for a given control in terms of it's MouseOver state. Also I would like to do this purely in XAML if possible.

I have an array from my database: NSArray *elementArray = [[[menuArray valueForKey:@"meals"] valueForKey:@"recipe"] valueForKey:@"elements"] The problem here is that I would like all my elements of all my meals of all my menus in an array such that: [elementArray objectAtIndex:0] = my first element etc...   I'm trying to call DisplayFor and DisplayForModel to iterate an IEnumerable< with various element types from within a view. I have Templates defined for each element/Model type. What I would like to do is check the ViewData.ModelMetadata.ContainerType from within the Template so that Template can determine if it was called as part of a collection. Perhaps by creating a ModelMetadataProviders? I looked into that breifly but it appears the ContainerType value is determined before and then passed to the Provider. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  When I use a RelativeLayout with either fill_parent or wrap_content as height and an element which specifies: android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" it is ignored and it is aligned at the top. Setting the height of the RelativeLayout to an explicit value makes it work. Any clues?
