  Hello everyone I've been trying to put some objects in an ASP.NET list box but its just not working. I do have an overriden ToString method so I cant understand why this statement wont work. • how to use monthNames in jqgrid when validating date?

  Hi all. In my jqgrid when i am clicking on add new record i have date field prepopulated with current date. Format of the date is yyyy-MMM-d (e.g. 2010-Jan-23). Date is required field and when i click submit button it fails validation and displays error that this date is invalid, and it wants Y-m-d format. How can i check my value with jqgrid? In other words how to make jqgrid accept the following date format when validating 2010-Jan-23? Thanks.

• JavaScript Metaprogramming: Reduce boilerplate of adding functions to a function queue

  I'm working with animation in JavaScript, and I have a bunch of functions you can call to add things to the animation queue. Basically, all of these functions look like this: function foo(arg1, arg2) { _eventQueue.push(function() { // actual logic } } I'm wondering now if it would be possible to cut down on this boilerplate a little bit, though, so I don't need that extra "_eventQueue" line in the function body dozens of times. Would it be possible, for example, to make a helper function which takes an arbitrary function as an argument and returns a new function which is augmented to be automatically added to the event queue? The only problem is that I need to find a way to maintain access to the function's original arguments in this process, which is... complicated.

If a String is given, its added as a class to the label. If a Function is given, its called with the label (as a jQuery object) as its only argument. That can be used to add a text like "ok!". Currently I'm only object given to me is the label, and I can only add text to it. Now what I want is to have unique success message. For example: username field will have a success message: 'username okay!' email = 'email seems right' something along those lines, instead of displaying just one generic success message on all the fields. • Need help understanding _set_security_error_handler()

  So , I've been reading this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa290051%28VS.71%29.aspx And I would like to define my custom handler.However, I'm not sure I understand the mechanics well.What happens after a call is made to the user-defined function ( e.g. the argument of _set_security_error_handler() ) ? Does the program still terminate afterward ? If that is the case, is it possible to terminate only the current thread(assuming that it is not the main thread of the application).AFAIK, each thread has its own stack , so if the stack of a thread gets corrupted, the rest of the application shouldn't be affected. Finally, if it is indeed possible to only terminate the current thread of execution, what potential problems could such an action cause? I'm trying to do all this inside an unmanaged C++ dll that I would like to use in my C# code.

For now, i use this xpath expression : //a/l_desc/.. | //b/l_desc/.. I would prefer writing something like this : //(a|b)/l_desc/.. Unfortunately, this expression is invalid.   I've been working on a small SVG website, http://docroot.ca/ - the SVG part has been working out pretty well. In the current site, jPlayer is called and given an mp3. jPlayer functions properly in Safari, Chrome, and Opera, but not Firefox which throws the following two errors: Error: not well-formed Source File: Line: 1, Column: 191 Source Code: <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><embed name="jqjp_flash_0" id="jqjp_flash_0" src="js/Jplayer.swf" width="0" height="0" bgcolor="#ffffff" quality="high" FlashVars="id=jPlayerBox&fid=jqjp_flash_0&vol=80" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></ and: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... • iPhone - Drawing 2D Shapes

  Hi guys! I have an array of 2D points which make an irregular polygon. What I want to do is draw the borders of it and then fill it with a color. I am using Cocos2d to code the game around, but I have not found a fill function in Cocos2d, only the ccDrawLine and such. Is there a simple way to draw filled shapes in Cocos2? I have also noted that Core Graphics would work beautifully for this purpose, but I am not able to integrate it with Cocos2d. I put this in to the draw function of my CCLayer: CGContextRef ctx = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); CGContextClearRect(ctx, [[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds]); And every time I run it i get this error: <Error>: CGContextClearRect: invalid context I really need to get this working... Any ideas?

We decided to go with Date.strptime for parsing and validation, which works great, except for how it just ignores any garbage data entered. • Custom Classes Passed from Service to a UI threads via AIDL

  I have a service that regularly queries a web server for new messages. The service stores the new messages in an arrayList. These messages are implemented using a custom class, storing all kinds of metadata (strings and longs). An activity then connects to this service to retrieve those messages and display them to the user. I have an .aidl file that describes the interface that the service exposes. package com.example.package; interface MyInterface { List<Message> getMessages(); } The Message class extends the Parcelable class which should allow for the IPC transfer. The problem is this: Eclipse gives me an error saying that the type of List<Message> is unknown. Any imports are marked as invalid. Ideas? Thanks

  Hi all, this must be quite simple but I am having great difficulty. You see I am trying to find a string within another string as follows. e = input.indexOf("-->"); s = input.indexOf("<!--"); input = input.replace(input.substring(s, e + 3), " "); The integers e and s are returning -1 in that it was not found and this is causing the replace method to fail. The test string I am using is "Chartered Certified<!--lol--> Accountants (ACCA)". I tried to creat a new string object and pass in the string as an argument as follows e=input.indexOf(new String("<!--")); This yielded the same result. Any ideas ?

Specify the ServiceNotification or DefaultDesktopOnly style to display a notification from a service application. The problem only occurs on production server (Win2008, IIS7). On my development server (WinXp, IIS6) it works ok. Additionally. I can connect from asp.net mvc development to wcf production service.   Hi all, I'm a bit new to using emacs for webdevelopment. I am using php-mode and i am happy with it. There is only one issue i have which causes me a lot of problems because of our company's coding style. When i have a function, e.g.: $instance = new Model('foo', 'bar'); And I want to indent it like this: $instance = new Model( 'foo', 'bar' ); Emacs does the following when i insert a newline before the first argument and indents it like this: $instance = new Model( 'foo', 'bar' ); Can anyone point me in a direction on how i can configure/change this?   Hello all, I've got a open graph page with a like button, activity feed, etc. I want to be able to post programmatically. The open graph docs says it's possible via the old stream.publish api. I've got a meta tag pointing to my facebook application, but the stream publish api doesn't seem to be able to post. • jQuery Validate Plugin overwrite my select onChange postback

  Hi, I'm creating this form (.net) where i have a select with a postback, that will trigger a action depending on which option i select. I'm trying to use the jQuery Validate Plugin (plugin website) to validate my form. My problem is, when i validate the form, and my select is marked as invalid, the validation plugin overwrite it's onChange method to make it unmark when i change the value, the thing is that it's deleting my __dopostback from the onchange, making the form 'useless'. Is there a way to the plugin validate my selects without deleting my postback action from the onchange?
