  • Problem Using POI To Set CellStyleProperty With HSSFCellUtil

    I have a Java class which uses Apache POI to generate reports in Excel. When I run the Java class from my IDE or command prompt, I only see warning messages from LOG4J as below: log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.commons.beanutils.converters.BooleanConverter). log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. log4j:WARN See http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/faq.html#noconfig for more info. Despite the warning messages, the report was generated successfully. But when I run it from my web app, which uses JSP and submits the form to a Servlet which calls the Java class, the Java class seems to have problems setting the style properties to the cell. Below are the Java code and also the stack trace. I'm testing this on a Standalone OC4J and the IDE which I'm using is Oracle's JDeveloper. And the Java JDK is 1.4.2. I've been looking high and low the whole day yesterday but can't seem to find out why.   • Problem interfacing GSM USB modem to Java application

    I am working on an open-source application called FrontlineSMS which can be interfaced with GSM modems to send and receive SMS. The windows installer that is available through their website works fine. Since i wanted to modify it, I got the source code and built the jar and tried to launch it. When I plug in the GSM modem and launch the application, it sometimes detects the GSM device and i am even able to send and receive SMS. Or else 1.)   • Sharepoint Lists.GetListItems Method rowLimit problem

    In SharePoint I am using the default view of a list. When I use GetListItems method I can pass into it the following: public XmlNode GetListItems ( string listName, string viewName, XmlNode query, XmlNode viewFields, string rowLimit, XmlNode queryOptions, string webID ) I am passing in "" for the viewName and am passing a rowLimit of 1000. By Default view only returns 100 items. 100 Items are still being returned not 1000. Can you use the rowLimit when not specifying a view? Is it possible to bring back 1000 items using the query instead? I do not really want to use a GUID for the viewName as I would have to look it up for each list and perform a big refactor. Update I am now using the guid of the view and my list still returns the incorrect number of items. I know the guid is being used as I sued an incorrect one and it errord out. Any ideas what could be wrong?     Hi I'm having problems using the sortable function of jQ:uery UI. The scroll doesn't seem to work.. If the second list ( lists are created on the table rows in a tbody and each tbody is connect ) isn't visible I want it to be possible to scroll towards it for dropping my table row.     My web hosting provider is running IIS7 and I am having loads of trouble to get gzip compression to work properly. Host admins say compression is installed. I can confirm compression using some online checking services but not with others. PageSpeed Firefox add-on also says the site is uncompressed. I am personally sitting behind a Squid proxy but web.config settings should take care of proxy issue. Below is the relevant web.config snippet. Most of it is borrowed from various sites.   • jQuery - growlUI and ASP Update Panel Postback Problem

    I am using the jQuery blockUI plugin's growlUI to display a return status message to the user when returning from an async postback from an update panel. What happens is after returning and displaying the growl notification, any further postbacks seem to be broken and the app just spins. I am using the ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock method to register the script. and calling the growl UI method in javascript with $.growlUI('Notification', 'Message'); There are no javascript errors being displayed.

    I have an issue with log4net which has been bugging me for a while and I've resolved to sort it. I have a class library which references log4net. If I reference this class library in another project I must then reference log4net in this project otherwise I get a build error Unknown build error, 'Cannot resolve dependency to assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.10.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=1b44e1d426115821' because it has not been preloaded. When using the ReflectionOnly APIs, dependent assemblies must be pre-loaded or loaded on demand through the ReflectionOnlyAssemblyResolve event.'     In Report Studio 8.3, I've got this raw SQL query running against a MySQL 5.1 data source: SELECT enc.encounterID, enc.date FROM enc WHERE enc.date between #prompt('textPromptStartDate')# AND #prompt('textPromptEndDate', 'date')# This produces text prompts for the user. If the user enters dates into these prompts in the format of 'YYYY-MM-DD', e.g. '2010-01-15', the query works fine. But I want to replace the text prompts with proper Date prompts. When I try replacing the above prompts with #prompt('datePromptStartDate', 'date') AND #prompt('datePromptEndDate', 'date')# the query runs (no errors are generated), but I get an empty result set. I have a feeling I need to adjust the date format that the date prompt macro returns, but I'm stuck after many hours of experimentation as to how to debug this.

    I've tried the Tab Layout example, and I've also fixed the few typos in the example (and added all the activities to the manifest). However, when I run it on the emulator I get a NullPointerException on the first line that says tabHost.addTab(spec); So my question, of course, is. What is wrong with the example that would cause this exception? I'm using Eclipse Galileo and set the target package as Android 1.5.     So, I've followed other related threads, but for some reason I'm still having this error and I'm about ready to tear my hair out. I have implemented locationManager:didFailWithError to check and see if a user selects 'Don't Allow' to use the current location. -(void)locationManager:(CLLocationManager *)manager didFailWithError:(NSError *)error { NSLog(@"IN ERROR"); if ([error code] == kCLErrorDenied){ [manager stopUpdatingLocation]; } } However, the following error always appears when the user selects 'Don't Allow'...it's strange, especially the order that the text 'IN ERROR' appears. ERROR,Time,293420691.000,Function,"void CLClientHandleDaemonDataRegistration(__CLClient*, const CLDaemonCommToClientRegistration*, const __CFDictionary*)",server did not accept client registration 1 2010-04-19 21:44:51.000 testApp[1414:207] IN ERROR So, it's outputting this error even before it has a chance to get into the didFailWithError function. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be happening?
