  • Django QuerySet API: How do I join iexact and icontains?

    - by Zeynel
    Hello, I have this join: lawyers = Lawyer.objects.filter(last__iexact=last_name).filter(first__icontains=first_name) This is the site If you try Last Name: Abbas and First Name: Amr it tells you that amr abbas has 1 schoolmates. But if you try First name only it says that there are no lawyers in the database called amr (obviously there is). If I change (last__iexact=last_name) to (last__icontains=last_name) then leaving Last Name blank works fine and amr is found. But with last__icontains=last_name if you search for "collin" you also get "collins" and "collingwood" which is not what I want. Do you know how I can use iexact and also have it ignored if it is blank? Thanks This is the view function: def search_form(request): if request.method == 'POST': search_form = SearchForm(request.POST) if search_form.is_valid(): last_name = search_form.cleaned_data['last_name'] first_name = search_form.cleaned_data['first_name'] lawyers = Lawyer.objects.filter(last__iexact=last_name).filter(first__icontains=first_name) if len(lawyers)==0: form = SearchForm() return render_to_response('not_in_database.html', {'last': last_name, 'first': first_name, 'form': form}) if len(lawyers)>1: form = SearchForm(initial={'last_name': last_name}) return render_to_response('more_than_1_match.html', {'lawyers': lawyers, 'last': last_name, 'first': first_name, 'form': form}) q_school = Lawyer.objects.filter(last__icontains=last_name).filter(first__icontains=first_name).values_list('school', flat=True) q_year = Lawyer.objects.filter(last__icontains=last_name).filter(first__icontains=first_name).values_list('year_graduated', flat=True) lawyers1 = Lawyer.objects.filter(school__iexact=q_school[0]).filter(year_graduated__icontains=q_year[0]).exclude(last__icontains=last_name) form = SearchForm() return render_to_response('search_results.html', {'lawyers': lawyers1, 'last': last_name, 'first': first_name, 'form': form}) else: form = SearchForm() return render_to_response('search_form.html', {'form': form, })

  • What call from the Android Development Tools API should I use to poll project target loading?

    - by Ricardo Gladwell
    I'm writing my own eclipse plug-in that integrates with the Eclipse Android Development Tools (ADT). However, I'm getting a CoreException ("Project target not loaded yet.") thrown when I attempt to call IProject.build on an Android project as part of a unit test: IProject project = importProject(...); project.build(IncrementalProjectBuilder.FULL_BUILD, monitor); Should I be waiting for the project target to load before calling the above? If so, what call should I use to poll the project target loading status?

  • Avahi DNS Stack for iPhone?

    - by sneha
    Hello, I would like to know if we have an avahi api for iphone side? Alternatively, can we implement avahi protocol in iphone? The avahi API provides: avahi-core: an API for embedding a complete mDNS/DNS-SD stack into your software. This is intended for developers of embedded appliances only. We dissuade from using this API in normal desktop applications since it is not a good idea to run multiple mDNS stacks simultaneously on the same host.

  • Facebook Graph API with Rails and Authlogic - preferred methodology?

    - by decabear
    There are lots of Facebook + Rails solutions, most notably Facebooker, but this and many others are not compatible with Rails 3. I'm currently using Authlogic for authentication with my app, and I want to give users the option of Facebook to sign in. I want to find the best way to have FB and Authlogic go together; right now I'm just writing my own Authlogic add-on for Facebook but if this has already been done then I don't want to redo someone else's work. Does anyone know of anything like this?

  • How to determine the Window size in IE for a window to be opened from the COM API?

    - by stwissel
    I'm using the IE control embedded in an application. Works as advertised. When a user opens a new browser window I intercept the NewWindow2 event and force it into a new tab. However for a certain class of windows I want to allow a popup. Most notably a few windows legacy applications that use popup windows instead of Ajax for Date or Name pickers. How can I figure out that a window was requested by JavaScript window.open(...) or with a specific size? Thx for helping.

  • I am wondering how the Plural-Field generic is to be rendered in the REST OpenSocial 1.0 API specifi

    - by DaveGrahamOrg
    In the OpenSocial Data specificaiton 1.0 for a Person object (social profile data) it includes the use of a generic called Plural-Field. The spec can be found at: http://opensocial-resources.googlecode.com/svn/spec/1.0/Social-Data.xml#Person In the 1.0 data specification there is no XSD and no examples showing the use of this generic Plural-Field. After puzzeling the spec for some time I think I might understand the user of this generic. I was hoping that someone could confirm or correct my understanding. For example the accounts field is a generic Plural-Field<Account> while the activities field is Plural-Field <string>. Am I right in assuming that the result XML would look like: <accounts> <Plural-Field> <primary>true</primary> <type>ntlm</type> <value> <Account> <domain>MYDOMAIN</domain> <userid>MYDOMAIN\davegraham</userid> <username>davegraham</username> </Account> </value> </Plural-Field> <Plural-Field> <primary>false</primary> <type>claims</type> <value> <Account> <domain>i:0#.f|claimsDomain</domain> <userid>i:0#.f|claimsDomain|davegraham</userid> <username>davegraham</username> </Account> </value> </Plural-Field> </accounts> <activities> <Plural-Field> <primary>true</primary> <type>ntlm</type> <value>cycling</value> </Plural-Field> <Plural-Field> <primary>false</primary> <type>claims</type> <value>swiming</value> </Plural-Field> </activities> Am I right in my interpretation of the spec?

  • how can i disable the default console handler, while using the java logging api ?

    - by loudiyimo
    Hi I am trying to implement the java logging in my application. I want to use two handlers. A file handler and my own console handler. Both of my handlers work fine. My logging is send to a file and to the console . My logging is also sent to the default console handler, which i do not want. If you run my code you will see extra two line sent to the console. I don't want to use de default console handler. Does anyone know how to disable the default console handler. I only want to use the two hadlers i have created. Handler fh = new FileHandler("test.txt"); fh.setFormatter(formatter); logger.addHandler(fh); Handler ch = new ConsoleHandler(); ch.setFormatter(formatter); logger.addHandler(ch); import java.util.Date; import java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler; import java.util.logging.FileHandler; import java.util.logging.Formatter; import java.util.logging.Handler; import java.util.logging.Level; import java.util.logging.LogManager; import java.util.logging.LogRecord; import java.util.logging.Logger; public class LoggingExample { private static Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("test"); static { try { logger.setLevel(Level.INFO); Formatter formatter = new Formatter() { @Override public String format(LogRecord arg0) { StringBuilder b = new StringBuilder(); b.append(new Date()); b.append(" "); b.append(arg0.getSourceClassName()); b.append(" "); b.append(arg0.getSourceMethodName()); b.append(" "); b.append(arg0.getLevel()); b.append(" "); b.append(arg0.getMessage()); b.append(System.getProperty("line.separator")); return b.toString(); } }; Handler fh = new FileHandler("test.txt"); fh.setFormatter(formatter); logger.addHandler(fh); Handler ch = new ConsoleHandler(); ch.setFormatter(formatter); logger.addHandler(ch); LogManager lm = LogManager.getLogManager(); lm.addLogger(logger); } catch (Throwable e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } public static void main(String[] args) { logger.info("why does my test application use the standard console logger ?\n" + " I want only my console handler (Handler ch)\n " + "how can i turn the standard logger to the console off. ??"); } }

  • Criteria API - How to get records based on collection count?

    - by Cosmo
    Hello Guys! I have a Question class in ActiveRecord with following fields: [ActiveRecord("`Question`")] public class Question : ObcykaniDb<Question> { private long id; private IList<Question> relatedQuestions; [PrimaryKey("`Id`")] private long Id { get { return this.id; } set { this.id = value; } } [HasAndBelongsToMany(typeof(Question), ColumnRef = "ChildId", ColumnKey = "ParentId", Table = "RelatedQuestion")] private IList<Question> RelatedQuestions { get { return this.relatedQuestions; } set { this.relatedQuestions = value; } } } How do I write a DetachedCriteria query to get all Questions that have at least 5 related questions (count) in the RelatedQuestions collection? For now this gives me strange results: DetachedCriteria dCriteria = DetachedCriteria.For<Question>() .CreateCriteria("RelatedQuestions") .SetProjection(Projections.Count("Id")) .Add(Restrictions.EqProperty(Projections.Id(), "alias.Id")); DetachedCriteria dc = DetachedCriteria.For<Question>("alias").Add(Subqueries.Le(5, dCriteria)); IList<Question> results = Question.FindAll(dc); Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

  • A public web API: What do developers prefer to consume?

    - by spender
    We've got a bunch of data that we'd like to expose to the world hosted on an asp-net.mvc website. I'd like to ensure that we deliver it using technology that is easy for end developers to implement and not tied to any particular platform, rather than using technology that is unpopular/incompatible with developers. The kind of requests we expect are mainly to retrieve search results (not many parameters), but down the like we'd like to be able to provide catalogue lookups and the like, which may be more complex. Bearing this in mind, what is the preferred means of doing this?

  • How do I sign requests reliably for the Last.fm api in C#?

    - by Arda Xi
    I'm trying to implement authorization through Last.fm. I'm submitting my arguments as a Dictionary to make the signing easier. This is the code I'm using to sign my calls: public static string SignCall(Dictionary<string, string> args) { IOrderedEnumerable<KeyValuePair<string, string>> sortedArgs = args.OrderBy(arg => arg.Key); string signature = sortedArgs.Select(pair => pair.Key + pair.Value). Aggregate((first, second) => first + second); return MD5(signature + SecretKey); } I've checked the output in the debugger, it's exactly how it should be, however, I'm still getting WebExceptions every time I try. Here's my code I use to generate the URL in case it'll help: public static string GetSignedURI(Dictionary<string, string> args, bool get) { var stringBuilder = new StringBuilder(); if (get) stringBuilder.Append("http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?"); foreach (var kvp in args) stringBuilder.AppendFormat("{0}={1}&", kvp.Key, kvp.Value); stringBuilder.Append("api_sig="+SignCall(args)); return stringBuilder.ToString(); } And sample usage to get a SessionKey: var args = new Dictionary<string, string> { {"method", "auth.getSession"}, {"api_key", ApiKey}, {"token", token} }; string url = GetSignedURI(args, true); EDIT: Oh, and the code references an MD5 function implemented like this: public static string MD5(string toHash) { byte[] textBytes = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(toHash); var cryptHandler = new System.Security.Cryptography.MD5CryptoServiceProvider(); byte[] hash = cryptHandler.ComputeHash(textBytes); return hash.Aggregate("", (current, a) => current + a.ToString("x2")); }

  • Is there an API to remotely read a Windows machine's audit configuration?

    - by JCCyC
    I need to know, for each subcategory, whether it'll be audited on success, on failure, both, or none. Below is an example of the information I need to collect. Can I get this through WMI? Or if not, by other means, assuming I have proper (admin) credentials to the target machine? Again, to clarify, it's not the event log I need to read, it's the logging configuration. <security_state_change>AUDIT_SUCCESS</security_state_change> <security_system_extension>AUDIT_NONE</security_system_extension> <system_integrity>AUDIT_SUCCESS_FAILURE</system_integrity> <ipsec_driver>AUDIT_NONE</ipsec_driver> <other_system_events>AUDIT_SUCCESS_FAILURE</other_system_events> <logon>AUDIT_SUCCESS</logon> <logoff>AUDIT_SUCCESS</logoff> <account_lockout>AUDIT_SUCCESS</account_lockout> <ipsec_main_mode>AUDIT_NONE</ipsec_main_mode> <ipsec_quick_mode>AUDIT_NONE</ipsec_quick_mode> <ipsec_extended_mode>AUDIT_NONE</ipsec_extended_mode> <special_logon>AUDIT_SUCCESS</special_logon> <other_logon_logoff_events>AUDIT_NONE</other_logon_logoff_events> <file_system>AUDIT_NONE</file_system> <registry>AUDIT_NONE</registry> <kernel_object>AUDIT_NONE</kernel_object> <sam>AUDIT_NONE</sam> <certification_services>AUDIT_NONE</certification_services> <application_generated>AUDIT_NONE</application_generated> <handle_manipulation>AUDIT_NONE</handle_manipulation> <file_share>AUDIT_NONE</file_share> <filtering_platform_packet_drop>AUDIT_NONE</filtering_platform_packet_drop> <filtering_platform_connection>AUDIT_NONE</filtering_platform_connection> <other_object_access_events>AUDIT_NONE</other_object_access_events> <sensitive_privilege_use>AUDIT_NONE</sensitive_privilege_use> <non_sensitive_privlege_use>AUDIT_NONE</non_sensitive_privlege_use> <other_privlege_use_events>AUDIT_NONE</other_privlege_use_events> <process_creation>AUDIT_NONE</process_creation> <process_termination>AUDIT_NONE</process_termination> <dpapi_activity>AUDIT_NONE</dpapi_activity> <rpc_events>AUDIT_NONE</rpc_events> <audit_policy_change>AUDIT_SUCCESS</audit_policy_change> <authentication_policy_change>AUDIT_SUCCESS</authentication_policy_change> <authorization_policy_change>AUDIT_NONE</authorization_policy_change> <mpssvc_rule_level_policy_change>AUDIT_NONE</mpssvc_rule_level_policy_change> <filtering_platform_policy_change>AUDIT_NONE</filtering_platform_policy_change> <other_policy_change_events>AUDIT_NONE</other_policy_change_events> <user_account_management>AUDIT_SUCCESS</user_account_management> <computer_account_management>AUDIT_NONE</computer_account_management> <security_group_management>AUDIT_SUCCESS</security_group_management> <distribution_group_management>AUDIT_NONE</distribution_group_management> <application_group_management>AUDIT_NONE</application_group_management> <other_account_management_events>AUDIT_NONE</other_account_management_events> <directory_service_access>AUDIT_NONE</directory_service_access> <directory_service_changes>AUDIT_NONE</directory_service_changes> <directory_service_replication>AUDIT_NONE</directory_service_replication> <detailed_directory_service_replication>AUDIT_NONE</detailed_directory_service_replication> <credential_validation>AUDIT_NONE</credential_validation> <kerberos_ticket_events>AUDIT_NONE</kerberos_ticket_events> <other_account_logon_events>AUDIT_NONE</other_account_logon_events>
