• Copy Paste is Disabled in Property Grid

  Hi All, I have a FileNameEditor inside a property grid, which has a few entries like Main File : "C:\blah1" Sec File: "C:\blah2" and so on. My problem is that I cannot copy and paste from one property entry to another, and I cannot type in the fields manually as well. Is there a specific property that will enable editing inside the FileNameEditor. So I'll have to do some kind of find and replace throughout my code to replace each occurrence of "Department". For some reason this works perfectly for myself but for my users they are getting the following error -- The target table 'dbo.tblEmploymentPrevocServices' of the DML statement cannot have any enabled triggers if the statement contains an OUTPUT clause without INTO clause. This application is a WinForm app that connects to a local SQL 2005 Express database that is a part of a Merge Replication topology.   With a DataContext and a blank file-based database that already exists, is it possible to write the Data Context classes (i.e. the ones I added to the designer) to create the db schema? With a data context I only see the abilities to either: create a new database file and have its structure created at the same time, or to populate data into an existing database having preexisting schema. I'm looking for a hybrid solution between those two worlds.   I have added a new model (call it crm_lead_external) that is linked via a new one2many on crm_lead. Thus, my module has two models defined: an updated crm_lead (with _name=crm_lead) and a new crm_lead_external. This external model tracks a file and as such has a 'filename' field. I also created a unique SQL index on this filename field. This is part of my module: def copy(self, cr, uid, id, default=None, context=None): if not default: default = {} default.update({ 'state': 'new', 'filename': '', }) ret = super(crm_lead_external, self).copy(cr, uid, id, default, context=context) #do file copy return ret The intent here is to allow an external entity to be duplicated, but to retarget the file path. Now, if I click duplicate on the Lead, I get an IntegrityError on my unique constraint. Is there a particular reason why copy() isn't being called? Should I add this logic to copy_data()? Myst I really override copy() for the lead? Thanks in advance.

  I am trying to implement what I used to take for granted in Winforms applications. I am a Silverlight noob, so hopefully all this is elementary. I have a listbox in a Silverlight 4 app. I'd like to do the following: Right-click on the listbox Have the item under the location where I click highlight itself I'd like a context menu to popup (with my own items in the context menu) From my research so far, it appears that there is no ContextMenu construct in Silverlight, instead we have to build up a Grid/Canvas structure and attach it to a Popup object, which is what is then popped up. My questions are as follows: To accomplish #2, I need some kind of hit test on the listbox. I can't figure out how to do that and my google-fu isn't helping. Once I do identify the index under the mouse, how do I actually select the item? Is there a reusable Context menu component somewhere that I can use? Extra credit if the component allows arbitrary sub-menus.

  I have the following class that I am using to bookmark items: class BookmarkedItem(models.Model): is_bookmarked = models.BooleanField(default=False) user = models.ForeignKey(User) content_type = models.ForeignKey(ContentType) object_id = models.PositiveIntegerField() content_object = generic.GenericForeignKey() And I am defining a reverse generic relationship as follows: class Link(models.Model): url = models.URLField() bookmarks = generic.GenericRelation(BookmarkedItem) In one of my views I generate a queryset of all links and add this to a context: links = Link.objects.all() context = { 'links': links } return render_to_response('links.html', context) The problem I am having is how to traverse the generic relationship in my template. For each link I want to be able to check the is_bookmarked attribute and change the add/remove bookmark button according to whether the user already has it bookmarked or not. Is this possible to do in the template? Or do I have to do some additional filtering in the view and pass another queryset?

• form data posted using linq-to-sql not showing until I refresh the page

  I have an asp.net mvc app with a form. When you submit the form, it adds records to the sql database with linq-to-sql. After adding the records, the controller displays the form again, and should show those new values on the form. But, when it displays the form, the values are blank, until you refresh the page. While tracing through the code, I can see the records being added to the database when they are submitted, but the view doesnt display them, unless I refresh. The view is not the problem, it just displays the view model, which is missing the new records immediately after the post. I know this is kind of vague, but wasnt sure what parts of code to include here. Could this have something to do with data context life cycle? Basically, there is a data context created when the form is posted, then a different data context is created in the method that displays the form. Any suggestions on what might be causing this?

So when I delete an managed object from the context, the context propagates this immediately to the persistent store so the object is gone? And when I set this to NO, then objects are deleted from the persistent store only when calling -save? Is that really true? I mean: If it was true, then the default behavior is that once you call the context to delete an object, the object is gone. Lets assume you're not using an undo manager. So... gone. Right? No rollback possible? Or can it still be recovered with a rollback?

  I am using the DPAD controls to highlight text in android text-widget. I am wondering is there is any way that when i highlight the text, it selects it also. Right now when i highlight and try to bring the context menu, the first context menu I get is the one with options to select word, select all etc. and when i do select word, it selects the entire region highlighted(which is okay , but i wanted it to select while am highlighting) so that i could get the cut/copy and paste context menu directly. • Improve the Quality of ePub eBooks with Sigil

  Would you like to correct errors in your ePub formatted eBooks, or even split them into chapters and create a Table of Contents?  Here’s how you can with the free program Sigil. eBooks are increasingly popular with the rise of eBook readers and reading apps on mobile devices.  We recently showed you how to convert a PDF eBook to ePub format, but as you may have noticed, sometimes the converted file had some glitches or odd formatting.  Additionally, many of the many free ePub books available online from sources like the Project Guttenberg do not include a table of contents.  Sigil is a free application for Windows, OS X, and Linux that lets you edit ePub files, so let’s look at how you can use it to improve your eBooks. Note: Sigil took several moments to open files in our tests, and froze momentarily when we maximized the window.  Sigil is currently pre-release software in active development, so we would expect the bugs to be worked out in future versions.  As usual, only install if you’re comfortable testing pre-release software. Getting Started Download Sigil (link below), making sure to select the correct version for your computer.  Run the installer, and select your preferred setup language when prompted. After a moment the installer will appear; setup as normal. Launch Sigil when it’s finished installing.  It opens with a default blank ePub file, so you could actually start writing an eBook from scratch right here. Edit Your ePub eBooks Now you’re ready to edit your ePub books.  Click Open and browse to the file you want to edit. Now you can double-click any of the HTML or XHTML files on the left sidebar and edit them just like you would in Word. Or you can choose to view it in Code View and edit the actual HTML directly. The sidebar also gives you access to the other parts of the ePub file, such as Images and CSS styles. If your ePub file has a Table of Contents, you can edit it with Sigil as well.  Click Tools in the menu bar, and then select TOC Editor.  Strangely there is no way to create a new table of contents, but you can remove entries from existing one.   Convert TXT Files to ePub Many free eBooks online, especially older, out of copyright titles, are available in plain text format.  One problem with these files is that they usually use hard returns at the end of lines, so they don’t reflow to fill your screen efficiently. Sigil can easily convert these files to the more useful ePub format.  Open the text file in Sigil, and it will automatically reflow the text and convert it ePub.  As you can see in the screenshot below, the text in the eBook does not have hard line-breaks at the end of each line, and will be much more readable on mobile devices. Note that Sigil may take several moments opening the book, and may even become unresponsive while analyzing it.   Now you can edit your eBook, split it into chapters, or just save it as is.  Either way, make sure to select Save as to save your book as ePub format. Conclusion As mentioned before, Sigil seems to run slow at times, especially when editing large eBooks.  But it’s still a nice solution to edit and extend your ePub eBooks, and even convert plain text eBooks to the nicer ePub format.  Now you can make your eBooks work just like you want, and read them on your favorite device!
