  • How someone using my Facebook website app can post to their pages timeline

    - by user1334414
    I have a website where businesses create content through a PHP backend system. Each time they create a new piece of content, I want it to publish to their Facebook pages timeline (not the users timeline). I have created the authenticate code: <div id="fb-root"></div> <script> window.fbAsyncInit = function() { FB.init({ appId : 'XXXXXXXXXX', status : true, cookie : true, xfbml : true, oauth : true, }); }; (function(d){ var js, id = 'facebook-jssdk'; if (d.getElementById(id)) {return;} js = d.createElement('script'); js.id = id; js.async = true; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js"; d.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(js); }(document)); </script> <div class="fb-login-button" scope="manage_pages"> Login with Facebook </div> With manage_pages as a scope. I need to know how they can select which page they want the post to go to (if they have more than 1 page), and also how to automatically post to that pages wall when they submit the content (which is done via a PHP form). Thanks

  • How to get nested chain of objects in Linq and MVC2 application?

    - by Anders Svensson
    I am getting all confused about how to solve this problem in Linq. I have a working solution, but the code to do it is way too complicated and circular I think: I have a timesheet application in MVC 2. I want to query the database that has the following tables (simplified): Project Task TimeSegment The relationships are as follows: A project can have many tasks and a task can have many timesegments. I need to be able to query this in different ways. An example is this: A View is a report that will show a list of projects in a table. Each project's tasks will be listed followed by a Sum of the number of hours worked on that task. The timesegment object is what holds the hours. Here's the View: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Report.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<Tidrapportering.ViewModels.MonthlyReportViewModel>" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> Månadsrapport </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h1> Månadsrapport</h1> <div style="margin-top: 20px;"> <span style="font-weight: bold">Kund: </span> <%: Model.Customer.CustomerName %> </div> <div style="margin-bottom: 20px"> <span style="font-weight: bold">Period: </span> <%: Model.StartDate %> - <%: Model.EndDate %> </div> <div style="margin-bottom: 20px"> <span style="font-weight: bold">Underlag för: </span> <%: Model.Employee %> </div> <table class="mainTable"> <tr> <th style="width: 25%"> Projekt </th> <th> Specifikation </th> </tr> <% foreach (var project in Model.Projects) { %> <tr> <td style="vertical-align: top; padding-top: 10pt; width: 25%"> <%:project.ProjectName %> </td> <td> <table class="detailsTable"> <tr> <th> Aktivitet </th> <th> Timmar </th> <th> Ex moms </th> </tr> <% foreach (var task in project.CurrentTasks) {%> <tr class="taskrow"> <td class="task" style="width: 40%"> <%: task.TaskName %> </td> <td style="width: 30%"> <%: task.TaskHours.ToString()%> </td> <td style="width: 30%"> <%: String.Format("{0:C}", task.Cost)%> </td> </tr> <% } %> </table> </td> </tr> <% } %> </table> <table class="summaryTable"> <tr> <td style="width: 25%"> </td> <td> <table style="width: 100%"> <tr> <td style="width: 40%"> Totalt: </td> <td style="width: 30%"> <%: Model.TotalHours.ToString() %> </td> <td style="width: 30%"> <%: String.Format("{0:C}", Model.TotalCost)%> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="price"> <table> <tr> <td>Moms: </td> <td style="padding-left: 15px;"> <%: String.Format("{0:C}", Model.VAT)%> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Att betala: </td> <td style="padding-left: 15px;"> <%: String.Format("{0:C}", Model.TotalCostAndVAT)%> </td> </tr> </table> </div> </asp:Content> Here's the action method: [HttpPost] public ActionResult MonthlyReports(FormCollection collection) { MonthlyReportViewModel vm = new MonthlyReportViewModel(); vm.StartDate = collection["StartDate"]; vm.EndDate = collection["EndDate"]; int customerId = Int32.Parse(collection["Customers"]); List<TimeSegment> allTimeSegments = GetTimeSegments(customerId, vm.StartDate, vm.EndDate); vm.Projects = GetProjects(allTimeSegments); vm.Employee = "Alla"; vm.Customer = _repository.GetCustomer(customerId); vm.TotalCost = vm.Projects.SelectMany(project => project.CurrentTasks).Sum(task => task.Cost); //Corresponds to above foreach vm.TotalHours = vm.Projects.SelectMany(project => project.CurrentTasks).Sum(task => task.TaskHours); vm.TotalCostAndVAT = vm.TotalCost * 1.25; vm.VAT = vm.TotalCost * 0.25; return View("MonthlyReport", vm); } And the "helper" methods: public List<TimeSegment> GetTimeSegments(int customerId, string startdate, string enddate) { var timeSegments = _repository.TimeSegments .Where(timeSegment => timeSegment.Customer.CustomerId == customerId) .Where(timeSegment => timeSegment.DateObject.Date >= DateTime.Parse(startdate) && timeSegment.DateObject.Date <= DateTime.Parse(enddate)); return timeSegments.ToList(); } public List<Project> GetProjects(List<TimeSegment> timeSegments) { var projectGroups = from timeSegment in timeSegments group timeSegment by timeSegment.Task into g group g by g.Key.Project into pg select new { Project = pg.Key, Tasks = pg.Key.Tasks }; List<Project> projectList = new List<Project>(); foreach (var group in projectGroups) { Project p = group.Project; foreach (var task in p.Tasks) { task.CurrentTimeSegments = timeSegments.Where(ts => ts.TaskId == task.TaskId).ToList(); p.CurrentTasks.Add(task); } projectList.Add(p); } return projectList; } Again, as I mentioned, this works, but of course is really complex and I get confused myself just looking at it even now that I'm coding it. I sense there must be a much easier way to achieve what I want. Basically you can tell from the View what I want to achieve: I want to get a collection of projects. Each project should have it's associated collection of tasks. And each task should have it's associated collection of timesegments for the specified date period. Note that the projects and tasks selected must also only be the projects and tasks that have the timesegments for this period. I don't want all projects and tasks that have no timesegments within this period. It seems the group by Linq query beginning the GetProjects() method sort of achieves this (if extended to have the conditions for date and so on), but I can't return this and pass it to the view, because it is an anonymous object. I also tried creating a specific type in such a query, but couldn't wrap my head around that either... I hope there is something I'm missing and there is some easier way to achieve this, because I need to be able to do several other different queries as well eventually. I also don't really like the way I solved it with the "CurrentTimeSegments" properties and so on. These properties don't really exist on the model objects in the first place, I added them in partial classes to have somewhere to put the filtered results for each part of the nested object chain... Any ideas?

  • PHP form processing - how to capture text from field that has variable Name/ID

    - by user80151
    I have a form that has a field pulled from the database as a dropdown. I need to get the text selected in the dropdown but I don't know in advance what the field ID will be. This is basically just a form that has already been generated. I don't need to pull anything from the database, it's already on this page. All I need to do is get the form information and email it, no writing to the database. I know how to do the _Request for the other fields based on the ID but I'm not sure how to do this one. The ID changes. It can be ID=1, ID-2, etc. I need to do something like: _REQUEST form element where ID is LIKE "ID[*]" or something similar. Any suggestions or links to tutorials? Here are a couple samples of what the dropdown renders on the page: <div class="wrapperAttribsOptions"> <h4 class="optionName back"><label class="attribsSelect" for="attrib- 1">Model</label></h4> <div class="back"> <select name="id[1]" id="attrib-1"> <option value="45">VC3-4C</option> <option value="1">VC3-4PG</option> <option value="3">VC3-4SG</option> <div class="wrapperAttribsOptions"> <h4 class="optionName back"><label class="attribsSelect" for="attrib-14">SPK Model</label></h4> <div class="back"> <select name="id[14]" id="attrib-14"> <option value="43">SPK-4</option> <option value="44">SPK-8</option> </select> TIA

  • CSS style refresh in IE after dynamic removal of style link

    - by rybz
    Hi! I've got a problem with the dynamic style manipulation in IE7 (IE8 is fine). Using javascript I need to add and remove the < link / node with the definition of css file. Adding and removing the node as a child of < head / works fine under Firefox. Unfortunately, after removing it in the IE, although The tag is removed properly, the page style does not refresh. In the example below a simple css (makes background green) is appended and removed. After the removal in FF the background turns default, but in IE stays green. index.html <html> <head> </head> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> var node; function append(){ var headID = document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0]; node = document.createElement('link'); node.type = 'text/css'; node.rel = 'stylesheet'; node.href = "s.css"; node.media = 'screen'; headID.appendChild(node); } function remove(){ var headID = document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0]; headID.removeChild(node); } </script> <body> <div onClick="append();"> add </div> <div onClick="remove();"> remove </div> </body> </html> And the style sheet: s.css body { background-color:#00CC33 } Here is the live example: http://rlab.pl/dynamic-style/ Is there a way to get it working?

  • How to prevent BeautifulSoup from stripping lines

    - by Oli
    I'm trying to translate an online html page into text. I have a problem with this structure: <div align="justify"><b>Available in <a href="http://www.example.com.be/book.php?number=1"> French</a> and <a href="http://www.example.com.be/book.php?number=5"> English</a>. </div> Here is its representation as a python string: '<div align="justify"><b>Available in \r\n<a href="http://www.example.com.be/book.php?number=1">\r\nFrench</a>; \r\n<a href="http://www.example.com.be/book.php?number=5">\r\nEnglish</a>.\r\n</div>' When using: html_content = get_html_div_from_above() para = BeautifulSoup(html_content) txt = para.text BeautifulSoup translate it (in the 'txt' variable) as: u'Available inFrenchandEnglish.' It probably strips each line in the original html string. Do you have a clean solution about this problem ? Thanks.

  • Find tag that contains certain text and add a class

    - by David Gard
    I have the following HTML, and I need to add a class to both <li> and <a> where the text 'Charts' exists (so not the second line, but rather the 4th and 5th). I cannot change the output of the HTML. <div class="wp-submenu-wrap"> <div class="wp-submenu-head">Charts</div> <ul> <li class="wp-first-item"> <a class="wp-first-item" tabindex="1" href="admin.php?page=charts">Charts</a> </li> <li> <a tabindex="1" href="admin.php?page=add-chart">Add Chart</a> </li> </ul> </div> I've tried doing this by locating the <a> tag that contains the text, but it is not working. Can somebody please point me in the correct direction? Thanks. Code that I've tried - $(document).ready(function(){ if(pagenow === 'admin_page_edit-chart') { var page = $('.wp-submenu-wrap a:contains["Charts"]'); page.addClass('current'); page.parent('li').addClass('current'); } });

  • How do I rewrite .after( content, content )?

    - by Evan Carroll
    I've got this form working, but according to my previous question it might not be supported: it isn't in the docs either way -- but the intention is pretty obvious in the code. $(".section.warranty .warranty_checks :last").after( $('<div class="little check" />').click( function () { alert('hi') } ) , $('<span>OEM</span>') /*Notice this (a second) argument */ ); What this does is insert <div class="little check"> with a simple .click() callback, followed by a sibling of <span>OEM</span>. How else can I write this then? I'm having difficulty conjuring something working by chaining any combination of .after(), and .insertAfter()? I would expect this to work, but it doesn't: $(".section.warranty .warranty_checks :last").after( $('<div class="little check" />').click( function () { alert('hi') } ).after ( $('<span>OEM</span>') ) ); I would also expect this to work, but it doesn't: $(".section.warranty .warranty_checks :last").after( $('<span>OEM</span>').insertAfter( $('<div class="little check" />').click( function () { alert('hi') } ) ); );

  • Why does jQuery fadeOut not work inside this setInterval loop?

    - by Clay McClure
    I'm trying to load random items into a div every few seconds, with a nice fadeOut/fadeIn transition between each load. Here's the code: <html> <body> <div id="item"></div> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> // Load a random item var item = $('#item'); function load_item() { item.fadeOut(5000, function() { item.load('http://dynamic.xkcd.com/comic/random/ #middleContent img', null, function() { item.fadeIn(5000); }); }); }; // Load initial featured item load_item(); // Schedule repeated loading setInterval(load_item, 15000); </script> </body> </html> This works fine the first time through, but on subsequent calls to load_item, the fadeOut() seems to stop working. It doesn't actually fade the #item div out, but jumps immediately into the callback function, ignoring the 5000 delay. What am I doing wrong?

  • Does className exist in Mootools ?

    - by anna mae
    Hi, I want to update this very simple JS to Mootools 1.2 and it's not easy. This function : function changeclass(x){ document.getElementById("content").className = "ziclass0"; document.getElementById("content").className = "ziclass" + x; } is triggered in the DOM by : <div id="someclass"> a href="javascript: changeclass(0)">Unstyled</a a href="javascript: changeclass(1)">link one</a a href="javascript: changeclass(2)">link two</a a href="javascript: changeclass(3)">link three</a </div> to call the according CSS classes like : .ziclass1 h1{ color: rgb(142,11,0); font-family: Verdana; font-size: 2.5em; letter-spacing: 0.1em; } and changes the layout accordingly in : <div id="content" class="ziclass3"> ... </div> I know I can add an event to the triggers like : $(#someclass.each(function(element,index) { element.addEvent('click', function(){ //some code }); But, how do I get #content class classname ? Through an array ? I am a bit confused here. I'd be really grateful for any help to set me on the right track

  • CSS- How to align background image over bottom border line? Jsfiddle included

    - by John Robinson
    I have an image I am trying to display over the top of a bottom border, but it is being arranged behind the bottom border element (in this example, named "divider"), and I can't get it to align correctly. I would like the image to be displayed in the middle of the the border element and over the top of it. Vertically, I am trying to get the 1px line on the left and right side of the image to align with the 1px border to appear as if it is one element. Here is the code: .divider { border-bottom: 1px solid #c3c3c3; clear: both; display: block; margin-bottom: 20px; padding-top: 20px; width: 100%; } .sidearrow { background: url(http://s16.postimage.org/sbf7v9n75/sidearrow.png) 50% 14px no-repeat; width: 100%; height: 25px; }? <p>Here is some content above</p> <div class="sidearrow"></div> <div class="divider"></div> <p>Here is some content below</p>? • Parsing XHTML with inline tags

    - by user290796
    Hi, I'm trying to parse an XHTML document using TBXML on the iPhone (although I would be happy to use either libxml2 or NSXMLParser if it would be easier). I need to extract the content of the body as a series of paragraphs and maintain the inline tags, for example: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"> <head> <title>Title</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css" type="text/css"/> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=utf-8"/> </head> <body> <div class="body"> <div> <h3>Title</h3> <p>Paragraph with <em>inline</em> tags</p> <img src="image.png" /> </div> </div> </body> </html> I need to extract the paragraph but maintain the <em>inline</em> content with the paragraph, all my testing so far has extracted that as a subelement without me knowing exactly where it fitted in the paragraph. Can anyone suggest a way to do this? Thanks.

    I'm trying to apply some css to an image tag if the image is portrait, but for some reason .css() doesn't work in webkit. Basically the image tag doesn't get the 'style' property. Here's my code: $(document).ready(function () { $('.listing .item .thumb img').each(function () { var _img = $(this); var _imgWidth = _img.outerWidth(); var _imgHeight = _img.outerHeight(); if (_imgHeight > _imgWidth) { _img.css('top', '-40%'); } }); }); <div class="listing about"> <div class="item"> <a href="#" class="thumb"> <img src="../_uploads/siteassets/images/thumb-carousel-2.jpg" /> <span class="frame"></span> </a> <span class="snippet"> <a href="#" class="title">Name Surname</a> <span class="date">Role in the company</span> <p class="description">Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet...</p> </span> </div> </div> I've tried to use .attr() instead of .css() but nothing. It doesn't work! Any idea why?

  • scrollLeft works but scrollTop doesn't work

    - by Xiao Jia
    I have the following HTML with CSS .container { overflow: scroll; } etc. <body> <div class="container"> <div id="markers"></div> <img id="map" src="/img/map.jpg"/> </div> </body> map.jpg is very large and I want to scroll to a fixed position like this: $(function(){ console.log($('.container').scrollTop()); $('.container').scrollTop(1000); console.log($('.container').scrollTop()); console.log($('.container').scrollLeft()); $('.container').scrollLeft(1750); console.log($('.container').scrollLeft()); }); scrollLeft works fine but scrollTop doesn't. Below is the console output. 0 0 0 1750 I've been searching for half an hour but still don't know how to fix it... UPDATE: CSS about .container #markers and #map .container { overflow: scroll; width: 100%; max-width: 100%; height: 100%; max-height: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0; } #map { width: 5000px; max-width: 5000px; height: 2907px; max-height: 2907px; cursor: crosshair; } #markers { position: relative; top: 0; left: 0; width: 0; height: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0; }

  • Aligning decimal points in HTML

    - by ijw
    I have a table containing decimal numbers in one column. I'm looking to align them in a manner similar to a word processor's "decimal tab" feature, so that all the points sit on a vertical line. I have two possible solutions at the moment but I'm hoping for something better... Solution 1: Split the numbers within the HTML, e.g. <td><div>1234</div><div class='dp'>.5</div></td> with .dp { width: 3em; } (Yes, this solution doesn't quite work as-is. The concept is, however, valid.) Solution 2: I found mention of <COL ALIGN="CHAR" CHAR="."> This is part of HTML4 according to the reference page, but it doesn't work in FF3.5, Safari 4 or IE7, which are the browsers I have to hand. It also has the problem that you can't pull out the numeric formatting to CSS (although, since it's affecting a whole column, I suppose that's not too surprising). Thus, anyone have a better idea?

  • Hide/Show Text Field based on Selected value - ROR

    - by Tau
    I am new to ROR. I am trying to show a "Others" text field only if the selected value is "others". I am trying to make hide/show function to be as general as possible, since I will need it in many controller. If anyone can help enlightening me, I will really appreciate it. BTW, I am using Rails 2.1.1 ruby 1.8.7 general_info.html.erb <div> <%= f.label :location_id, "Location:" %> <%= f.collection_select(:location_id, Event.locations, :id, :name, {:prompt => true}, {:onchange => remote_function( :url => {:action => "showHideDOMOther"}, :with => "'selectedText='+this.options[this.selectedIndex].text + '&other_div='+'loc_other'")}) %> </div> <div id="loc_other" style="display:none"> <%= f.label :location_others, "Others:" %> <%= f.text_field :location_others %> </div> info_controller.rb def showHideDomOther render :update do |page| page.showHideDOM("Others", params[:selectedText], params[:other_div]) end end ... application_helper.rb def showHideDOM(targetString, selectedText, targetDiv) if selectedText.casecmp targetString page.hide targetDiv else page.show targetDiv end end Seem to get the correct parameters value, but nothing seems to happen. This is what I see from the console when I changed the value of selection to "Others". Parameters: {"action"=>"showHideDOMOther", "authenticity_token"=>"e7da7ce4631480b482e29da9c0fde4c026a7a70d", "other_div"=>"loc_other", "controller"=>"events", "selectedText"=>"Others"} NoMethodError (undefined method search_generic_view_paths?' for #<EventsController:0xa41c720>): /vendor/plugins/active_scaffold/lib/extensions/generic_view_paths.rb:40:infind_template_extension_from_handler' C:/usr/lib/Ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/actionpack-2.1.1/lib/action_view/template_finder.rb:138:in pick_template_extension' C:/usr/lib/Ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/actionpack-2.1.1/lib/action_view/template_finder.rb:115:infile_exists?' : Rendering C:/usr/lib/Ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/actionpack-2.1.1/lib/action_controller/templates/rescues/layout.erb (internal_server_error)

  • ASP.NET MVC editor template for property

    - by Idsa
    Usually I render my forms by @Html.RenderModel, but this time I have a complex rendering logic and I render it manually. I decided to create a editor template for one property. Here is the code (copy pasted from default object editor template implementation): <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" %> <% var modelMetadata = ViewData.ModelMetadata; %> <% if (modelMetadata.HideSurroundingHtml) { %> <%= Html.Editor(modelMetadata.PropertyName) %> <% } else { %> <% if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(Html.Label(modelMetadata.PropertyName).ToHtmlString())) { %> <div class="editor-label"><%= Html.Label(modelMetadata.PropertyName) %></div> <% } %> <div class="editor-field"> <%= Html.Editor(modelMetadata.PropertyName) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessage(modelMetadata.PropertyName) %> </div> <% } %> And here is how I use it: @Html.EditorFor(x => x.SomeProperty, "Property") //"Property" is template above But it didn't work: labels are rendered regardless of DisplayName and editors are not rendered at all (in Watches Html.Editor(modelMetadata.PropertyName shows empty string). What am I doing wrong?
