• How can i add an image in html email from lotus domino agent?

  i want to add a simple image into an email which i want to send from a lotus agent. I paste below a part of the code: StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); sb.append("<div><img src=\"http://goo.gl/lziMZN\"></div>"); email.setHTMLPart(sb.toString()); email.send("[email protected]"); I also tried to use an image from my image resources in the nsf. Whatever i tried i get an empty image area (browser-no-image icon) in the email i receive. I also have checked "Allow restricted operations" in my agent. I would prefer it if there is a solution to use an image from my resources and not an external link. Any solutions?

• How to specify a maven repository

  I am taking over a project left by previous colleague. The project is mavenized and I'm having a hard time building it. There is a inside block, which generates error when I ran mvn install. The error shows that plugin cannot be found in maven central repo. I checked and it's not there. I happened to find another internal repository that has the plugin jar file. So outside the block, I specified a to point at that internal repo. However, when I ran mvn install again, it still goes to maven central repo to look for the plugin. How do I make it look for the jar file at the right repo? I thought by specifying the list, it would automatically check that list? Other than the repo I added, there was no repository list set up previously.

  In the svnbook, it shows you how to shorten the URL to your repositories when using svnserve as a daemon, using -r like: svnserve -d -r /usr/local/repositories That way, you can refer to the repository you need right after the hostname in the URL without revealing any of the local path (which is /usr/local/repositories/project1): svn checkout svn://host.example.com/project1 However, now that I am switching to svn+ssh, I have the local path back in my repository URL: svn checkout svn+ssh://host.example.com/usr/local/repositories/project1 Does anyone know how to hide that local path and use a shorter URL as up above, using svn+ssh and WITHOUT using a UNIX soft link on the svn server? • PHP session values lost after redirect on one script but preserved after redirection on another.

  On my registration script i have: // Save registration information into the database // Set sessions $_SESSION['var1'] = 'somevalue'; $_SESSION['var2'] = 'anothervalue'; header('Location: /somewhere'); exit(); Then on my login script i have: // Check if user provided correct login credentials if (correct) { $_SESSION['var1'] = 'somevalue'; $_SESSION['var2'] = 'anothervalue'; } header('Location: /somewhere'); exit(); What happened is that the session variables were lost after the header redirect in the registration script but they were preserved after the redirect in the login script. I've checked session_id() at both pages and they have the same value, included session_start() at the top of every page and basically tried the solutions to this common problem found on Stackoverflow but somehow nothing seemed to work. I'm beginning to wonder if it is something to do with my server configuration instead of my code.

  As per the latest update of Kindle V2.5, it has support of "continue downloading books while the app is in the background on iOS 4 devices". How is it possible to download content in background? As per the iOS multitasking documentation, only audio, voip & location updates are possible in background. And I've also maken sure that NSURLConnection doesn't download new data work while app goes background. Then how's it possible with Kindle app? Edit: I haven't checked Kindle App in iOS4 multitasking enabled device. So if anyone let me (& community) know what exactly Kindle app does to download, that would be very much helpful.

  There are 3 tables. Products, Options and Prod_Opts_relations. The latter holds product_id and option_id so i should be able to figure out which options are selected for any given product. Now i want to retrieve all options from the options table where the value of an extra alias field should hold checked or unchecked depending on the existance of a mathing record in the relations table for a give product id. • What are the possible causes of JasperException

  I have a JSP that takes an Arraylist from the session object and removes the items from it. It seemed to be working fine and then out of nowhere when I navigate to that page, the page is blank. I checked the Tomcat log files and in catalina.out I am receiving a JasperException an it is showing it as being on a line with the following for(int i; i < agentItems.size(); i++) agentItems is the name of the ArrayList I am using. I have been debugging it and can't seem to figure out what the problem might be. I have read that a JasperException is sometiems thrown as a JSP's NullPointerException. Is this true or am I just completely overlooking the problem? I have the web application running on a local machine and a intermediate server for development in which both of them have had no trouble. Why could it be that only on this server it is giving me problems?

• Trouble with Canvas rendering in Safari/Opera

  Been banging my head against this one for a while, and figured I'd turn to the experts for some advice. I've made a jQuery snippet that grabs the values from a table and plots them in a line graph on a canvas element (also generated by the JS). All's well in Firefox and Chrome, but Safari and Opera aren't displaying the plotted points. I've reviewed in Firebug, Web Inspector debugger, JSLint, and checked the markup with the w3 validator, but still can't find anything glaringly obvious. Any chance one of you guys could help me out? • PHP doesn't show any kind of errors

  Hello everybody I have a PHP server at home for development. It is running: Ubuntu 9.10 Apache 2.2.12 PHP 5.3.2-0.dotdeb.1 MySql 5.0.7-dev Currently the settings in the php.ini for displayiong errors are: display_errors = on error_reporting = E_ALL But I do not see any errors in my php script. Also very strange is that phpinfo() shows me this: display_errors Off I checked the php.ini file, and restarted the apache server many times, but with no luck. Does anybody knows how this is possible? edit: When I localy set this: ini_set('display_errors', 'on'); I do receive errors.

• Why is display:inline killing IE 8.0 performance?

  I have an image gallery based on this jQuery plugin: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/demo/slider-gallery.html This works really well in Firefox, Chrome and even IE 7.0, but when I try it with more than 50 images in IE 8.0 the performance is incredible slow. Just hovering over the thumbnail brings the CPU load to 100%. At first I thought it's a Javascript problem, so I used the IE profiler, but the results were normal. Next I checked the CSS and finally found the cause: .sliderGallery UL LI { display: inline; } This gets the thumbnails to align horizontally. If I chance it to display:block, performance is fine and the scroller is still working but obviously it looks funny, because the thumbs are aligned vertically. My questions: Why does IE 8 have this problem with many display:inline elements What can I do to solve it I'll gladly provide more information if necessary.

• Is it possible / recommendable sending HTML emails containing Javascript?

  This is mostly a rhetorical question, as far as I've checked the answer is 'don't even bother', but I wanted to be really sure. We have an email app, where you can send email to lists of subscribers. This is not spam: it's used, for example, by an university to send communications to its students, by a museum to send emails to subscribers, etc. Recently, I was asked by a prospective client if it was possible to send html messages containing javascript without being marked as spam. Not knowing, I did a short trip of the webs and what I've got is (percentages out of my posterior) 'half the clients won't display properly', 'half the clients will flag you as spam' and 'half the clients will have blocked javascript altogether' (There's clearly some superposition). So the best solution seems to be adding a link to a proper page if really necessary. Have you got a different experience? Do you know of any email-merge solution that provides this feature? Do you know if specific clients accept it or refuse to display html with javascript?

  Hi All, In my Asp.Net project I wanna use Property Auto-wiring, e.g. for my ILogger. Basically I placed Property into my base classes. One for Page, one for UserControl. I checked the container and it'a definitely set. • Error occure while validating form input using JQUERY in Firebug

  Hello Friends, I have written a custom validation code in JQUERY. which is working fine. I have a login form which have two fields i.e. userid and password. I have written a custom JQUERY code for client side validation for these fields. This custom JQUERY code is working fine and gives me proper error messages as per the situation. But the problem with this code is that when I enter the invalid data in any or both field and press submit button of form then it displays the proper error message but at the same time when I checked it in Firebug it displays following error message when submit button of the form is clicked validate is not defined function onclick(event) { javascript: return validate(); }(click clientX=473, clientY=273) So please tell me where is I am wrong in my Jquery code. • Coldfusion CFC creation taking a variable amout of time to execute.

  I've been doing some logging of object creation times in our open account process in production. Periodically, initializing an object would take way longer than expected. By initializing I mean calling it's init() and passing a couple of arguments that may be simple variables or objects. e.g. <cfset validateObj = createObject("component", "compExample").init( productionMode = VARIABLES.productionMode, ipWhiteListed = isWhiteListed, ipLocatorObj = VARIABLES.ipLocatorObj ) /> Thats all that happens in init() methods. Generally the execution time would be 0ms, but at random times I might get 3 or 3.5 seconds. This is not specific to one particular server or to our generally busy period. It appears to be quite random. One thought was that these templates were being evicted from our template cache as they are not especially frequently used, although I checked cfstat on a number of servers and the max CP/Sec is -1. Running CF 8,0,1 Has anybody else ever come across this?

• Java webservice does not return all struct array

  Hi I wrote a webservice which runs correctly. In the webservice, there is a class which contains other classes' arrays and the webservice returns this class's instance. for example public class cls1 implements Serializable{ cls2[] cls2Arr; cls3[] cls3Arr; } I fill this arrays (cls2Arr and cls3Arr) correctly in service side. When I read this arrays from client, I see only last item of arrays. I checked on the service side before the webservice returns, and the cls1 instance and everything else looked good. • IO.Directory.Exists always returns true

  I am executing a IO.Directory.Exists on a network share from an ASP.NET application running under a specific Application Pool with a specific user account. The call always returns true. I have tried several variations: \\server\share$\directory \\192.168.0.1\share$\directory H:\directory I have checked that directory and share permissions are available to the account. The path does have spaces in it \\server\share$\directory\name name\test test, which should make no difference, however I have read otherwise. I will continue to check permissions, as it does work from my local machine (with the built in VS web-server and I am an administrator on the network), but when deployed to the IIS 6.0 virtual directory, and run under the Application Pool, it does not work.

• Problem getting value from "Checkbox group value prompt"

  Hi, I've value prompt with ui:checkbox group parameter: p_IsLastMonth Name: Prompt_IsLastMonth ItemCount: 1; UseValue:Yes, DisplayValue: LastMonth? and two Date Prompts. Whenever the checkbox is checked, the UseValue 'Yes' is passed to the parameter 'p_IsLastMonth'. But whenever the checkbox is left as it is, it results in an error. Element 'selectOptions' is not valid for content model: 'All(style,defaultSelections,conditionalStyles,conditionalRender,XMLAttributes)' I also tried giving a default value. But the default value has to be in the collection. But i want only one checkbox to be displayed. I tried with html checkbox. But i'm not able to send the value 'either yes or no' to the parameter through javascript because however the finish button overrides the value. Any help?

But if i try this with os.path.exists and os.path.join and get in trouble when german umlauts occur in the directory path: #the direcory coming from the user input in the QLineEdit #i take this QString to the local 8-Bit encoding and then make #a string from it target_dir = str(lineEdit.text().toLocal8Bit()) #the file name that should be checked for file_name = 'some-name.txt' #this fails with a UnicodeDecodeError when a umlaut occurs in target_dir os.path.exists(os.path.join(target_dir, file_name)) How would you check if the file exists, when you might encounter german umlauts?

It's worth noting also that ports 1099 and 7099 are forwarded to the server machine (which should be obvious from the stack trace). Can anyone see anyting I'm missing/doing wrong? If you need any more information just ask. EDIT: I'm practically certain the problem has nothing to do with my router settings. When disabling my port forwarding settings I get a slightly different error: Client exception: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: (-WAN IP NOT LOCAL IP-); but it appears both on the machine locally connected to the server and on the remote machine. In addition, I got it to work seamlessly when connecting the server straight tho the modem (cutting out the router. I can only conclude the problem is in my router's settings but can't see where (I've checked and double checked the port forwarding page). That's the only answer i can come up with.

  I have a school assignment, a Dog Show. My assignment is to create a website where vistors can display results and Judges and Secretary can admin, crud. I have a small problem one part of the assignment. The result should be based on two protokols from different judges and after that checked by the secretary before the result is displayed for the user. I have to say i'm fairly new to programming and so i need some smart suggestions on how to design and implement this. The assignment should cover both a db and c# (.net mvc). Q1: How do i create a object (result)that depends on two other objects(protocol)? Is that even needed? Q2: How to solve this in a relational db?
