• SSIS Script Component, Allow Null values

  I have a SSIS package that I am programming and my script component won't allow null column inputs. I have checked the box to keep nulls in the flat file source component. My program is running well until my script component where I get the error "The column has a null value" (super vague, I know). The column currently throwing the error is an "int" valued column and is used for aggregations in my script. I could make the null values 0s or to say "NULL" but I'd prefer to just leave them blank. Any advice on how to handle this problem would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! I am using SQL Server BIDS 2008.

  I want to change my repository from bazaar to git. I installed Git (winXP) and tortoise with no problem, I set path variables, etc... I have initialized my repository with: git init copied it using cd .. git clone --bare project.git uploaded it to FTP, and when trying to access: git clone *ftp_address* Initialized empty Git repository in D:/project/.git/ Password: error: Access denied: 530 while accessing *ftp_address*/info/refs fatal: HTTP request failed I checked and .../project.git/info/refs does not exists. • Segfault when calling a method c++

  I am fairly new to c++ and I am a bit stumped by this problem. I am trying to assign a variable from a call to a method in another class but it always segfaults. My code compiles with no warnings and I have checked that all variables are correct in gdb but the function call itself seems to cause a segfault. The code I am using is roughly like the following: class History{ public: bool test_history(); }; bool History::test_history(){ std::cout<<"test"; //this line never gets executed //more code goes in here return true; } class Game{ private: bool some_function(); public: History game_actions_history; bool local_variable; }; bool Game::some_function(){ local_variable = game_actions_history.test_history(); if (local_variable == true){ return true; } else{ return false; } } Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated!

  I am working on an ICA implementation wich is based on the assumption, that all source signals are independent. Since I subtract the mean of a, I expected the mean of a^3 to be zero as well. Does the problem lie in the random number generator, the precision of the numerical values in my misunderstanding of the concepts of mean and expected value?

  It seems like it should be a simple concept. I need a vertical list. This list has an image with a checkbox and pathname of that image underneath it. The user should be able to check the checkboxes of the images they want to appear in their "shopping cart". The images, checkbox label, and list are populated by an XmlList. How can I do this in Flex 3.5 and Actionscript and have a button that when clicked, display a list of the checked items??

  I want to do a simple PL/SQL program on the Oracle 10g internet environment. The program is: DECLARE stud_rec students%ROWTYPE; last_name VARCHAR2:='Clinton'; BEGIN SELECT * INTO stud_rec FROM students WHERE student_id=100; END; I have a table called students with data inside of it. The issue is that when I want to run this in the SQL command window I got this message: ORA-06550: line 3, column 11: PLS-00215: String length constraints must be in range (1 .. 32767) I have checked the syntax and I cannot find the error. • Jquery: change event not triggered in IE

  Hi, I have some code updating a dropdownlist, and then I fire the "change" event manually. It works like it should in firefox, opera and so on, but not in Internet Explorer. Any idea why?   Suppose I have a function which can either take an iterable/iterator or a non-iterable as an argument. Iterability is checked with try: iter(arg). Depending whether the input is an iterable or not, the outcome of the method will be different. Not when I want to pass a non-iterable as iterable input, it is easy to do: I’ll just wrap it with a tuple. What do I do when I want to pass an iterable (a string for example) but want the function to take it as if it’s non-iterable? E.g. make that iter(str) fails.

  After reading many introductions, starting guides, and documentation on SVN, I still cannot figure out where is my versioning data stored. I mean physically. I have over 3 GB of code checked in, and the repo is just a few MB large. This is still Voodoo for me. And, as a coder, I don't really believe in Magic. EDIT : A contributor stated that not all the code was stored in the repo, is that true ? I mean, if I delete my local working copy I still can get back my source code for the repository... If so, I still can't understand how such a compression can occur on my code...

• Loading an XML file with todays date in the filename... need to fallback to old file if one with tod

  So here is my question. Using javascript/jQuery I am currently loading in an XML file that has a file name such as carousel_large_2010-06-08.xml.. the way I am doing it is checked for todays date then grabbing a file that has that date in the filename... the issue is sometimes they wont be uploading a new file for a given day so it needs to fallback to a older date that exists.. Wondering how to do it? • Sending mail from a contact form. Simple but challenging!

  I've set up a contact form in the Greet Us page in http://swedsb.com When I submit the form, it says mail sent successfully. But I'm not getting the mail, checked the spam folder. I've set a similar form at http://ibsolutions.in. It is working perfectly. Been breaking my head for the past 4 hours. • What is sys/user.h used for ?

  I was inspecting the code of a linux application and i saw the #include in one of the code files. I tried looking it up on opengroup.org but i couldn't find it there, this is what the sys directory looks like: http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/000095399/basedefs/sys/ . I guess it's not standard header file, but i checked it in my /usr/include/sys and it was there. What does it do and what it is used for ? If you can provide me with some manual for it, i would be grateful. Thanks.

• Input checkbox name converts period signs into underlines on post

  Hello I am working on an image gallery at the moment. When a user is logged in, an x appears over each image and a checkbox next to it to enable the user to delete that image. Only if the checkbox is checked will the image be deleted. They are both in a (one for each image in the gallery), the small image "x.gif" is an input type="image" that submits the $_POST form. The checkbox inherits the name of the image and is to prevent accidentally pressing the x button and deleting an image. The problem is that the checkbox name, upon posting it gets converted from (for instance) "Image.jpg" to "Image_jpg" When i test it with print_r($_POST); Should I create code for replacing _jpg or _gif into .jpg and .gif after the post or is there a way to make it possible to use period signs in input names? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  I have a Hudson job that just does a check-out/update to a third-party library. Call this Job A. Several other jobs depend on this library. Call them Jobs B and C. They use the stuff checked out by Job A, and need it to be up-to-date. My question is, how can I require Jobs B and C to always run Job A (to update the library) before they run through their build routine? If this is not possible, can someone recommend another way to achieve the same effect?

  I tried (but nothing happens) self.txt.SetBackgroundColour ((255,0,0)) As said in the title I'm trying to change the background colour StyledTextCtrl. Does anyone know a method that could be used? I've checked the API docs but I couldn't seem to find one, http://wxpython.org/docs/api/wx.stc.StyledTextCtrl-class.html (by background colour, I mean the whole writing area, of course) Does anyone know a way I could do this? • How do I disable maven build when using Maven 2.0 integration for eclipse?

  How do I stop the "Maven 2.0 integration" plugin from running maven build, while keeping "build automatically" checked? I'm pretty sure it used to be some check box to disable maven build before, but after upgrading Ubuntu; eclipse seems to have been updated in the process, and now I cannot find any way to turn off the maven build. The maven build takes literally minutes (about 5 minutes or so), while just running java build used to finish in seconds. Is it no longer possible to disable it or have they just hidden it well? If it's not possible, will eclipse be able to compile my maven project without the plugin? (Trying to google for a solution the closes I got to an answer was several archives of this old post where the answer essentially were "You should be able to disable Maven builder in project preferences..." which doesn't really help because I cannot find any on/off settings there)

• Rendering inconsistencies in Internet Explorer

  Hello, I have some weird problem in rendering some xhtml in IE 8 http://img709.imageshack.us/i/scrj.png/. Here is the screenshot. As shown the greet me submit button is higher than the text field. Which is kind of odd. I checked with some other browsers and it works fine, it also works fine on Windows 7 with IE 8. • Im having trouble getting SWFUplader to play ball in my codeigniter application

  I have this peice of code in my handler.js, I'm getting the correct serverData value throught ajax, ( Well it's echoed correctly un the alert box) but no matter what, i just cant seem to enter either of the 'if' blocks. I have double checked the type and it is a string. • How to create and remove an html hidden field using jquery?

• TFS 2008 ignores team project check-in settings

  I'm trying to set up our TFS 2008 instance to require that projects build before they can be checked in. I have created a check-in policy using the out of the box "Builds" policy, but I'm still able to check broken projects in after mangling the code and attempting to build the project. We're a small shop, and TFS was originally set up with our team's Active Directory group listed as TFS admins. Is this the problem? Do check-in policies apply to TFS admins? Any other suggestions?

• Using fixtures with factory_girl

  When building the following factory: Factory.define :user do |f| f.sequence(:name) { |n| "foo#{n}" } f.resume_type_id { ResumeType.first.id } end ResumeType.first returns nil and I get an error. ResumeType records are loaded via fixtures. I checked using the console and the entries are there, the table is not empty. I've found a similar example in the factory_girl mailing list, and it's supposed to work. What am I missing? Do I have to somehow tell factory_girl to set up the fixtures before running the tests?

• TeamCity's build agent unable to find PowerShell

  I have TC's build agent installed on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Core. The server has PowerShell 2.0 installed (double checked, and actually from PS downloaded the TC installation). Looking at some build configuration I see these being incompatible with this agent, because powershell_x86/powershell_x64 is required. I tried deleting build agents dirs to force upgrade, but no luck. Interestingly if I provide powershell_x86, powershell_x86_Path (and for 64bit) variables into config file manually, everything runs fine. Is there anything I can do to have the build agent find PowerShell automatically? What/where is it looking for it? Maybe the 'Core' is problem.

• gcalFeed is not a function?

  I set up a calendar for the department at the university where I work (http://www.uwsp.edu/conted/calendar/default.aspx), this works just great. I then turned around and uploaded all the jquery files and fullcalendar.css to my development server (http://fossilfoundry.com/test/test.htm). When the page loads I get a JavaScript Error stating that $.fullCalendar.gcalFeed is not a function. All the files are local to the .htm page. I've checked everything I can think of. Any ideas why this won't run?

• Flatten old history in Git

  I have a git project that has run for a while and now I want to throw away the old history, say from start to two years back from now. With throw away I mean replace the many commits within this time with one single commit doing the same. I checked "git rebase -i " but this does not remove the other (full) history containing all commits from git. Here a graphical representation (d being the changesets): (base) -> d1 -> d2 -> d3 -> (HEAD) What I want is: (base,d1,d2) -> d3 -> (HEAD) How could this be done? Thanks.
