  Lets assume I have two tables Table tA ID ID2 SomeColumns Table tB ID ID2 SomeOtherColumns I am looking to create a Object let's call it ObjectA (based on tA), that will have a one-to-many relationship to ObjectB (based on tB). In my example however, I need to use the combination of ID and ID2 as the foreign key. If I was writing SQL it would look like this: select tB.* from tA, tB where tA.ID = tB.ID and tA.ID2 = tB.ID2; I know that for each ID/ID2 combination in tA I should have many rows in tB, therefor I know it's a one-to-many combination. • jQuery Cycle plugin: One pager to control multiple slideshow on a page

  Hi there, I have a cycle plugin set up on a page (images) with a pager to control the horizontal slide. My issue is that there is a transparent overlay that needs to sit over part of the images for some text relating to each image but would rather have that with a different transition effect for this so it doesn't slide in from the left. Am I able to set up to slideshows, each with 3 pieces of related content, that I can position correctly and have them controlled with the one pager? • Switching between multiple stacks in gdb 6.3

  Hello! There are two stacks in the program: one is created by OS and the second is created by program itself to run some code with it. When the program crashes in the second stack, I want to switch to the main stack in gdb and see the backtrace. Is it possible? I tried to save the rsp to a variable and change it after the crash, but the resulting backtrace was not right. I think gdb cannot differentiate frames in stack.

• Controlling azure worker roles concurrency in multiple instance

  I have a simple work role in azure that does some data processing on an SQL azure database. The worker basically adds data from a 3rd party datasource to my database every 2 minutes. When I have two instances of the role, this obviously doubles up unnecessarily. I would like to have 2 instances for redundancy and the 99.95 uptime, but do not want them both processing at the same time as they will just duplicate the same job. Is there a standard pattern for this that I am missing? I know I could set flags in the database, but am hoping there is another easier or better way to manage this. Thanks

• CodeIgniter - Post multiple arrays to controller

  I have a dynamically generated form that allows users to enter new data and edit existing data. When the form is submitted, it collates the input values and groups them according to whether they are new or not, the former being denoted by class="new-entry". So the function generates two arrays: updateData and insertData. Both arrays are of similar formats: [ 0: { 'id' = 1, 'value' = foo }, 1: { 'id' = 1, 'value' = 'bar' }, etc... ] I am combining them into a new array object to send via ajax to the controller: var postData = { 'update_data': updateData, 'insert_data': insertData }; Then in the ajax call: $.post(url, postData, function() { // some code }); However, in the controller, doing print_r($this->input->post()) or print_r($_POST) as a test only returns Array(). Even $this->input->post('update_data') returns nothing. How can I retrieve these arrays in the controller?

  We are working on adding some Facebook Connect functionality to our site. Part of their requirements for FB Connect require adding several additional xmlns attributes to the html element. We are likely going to have 5 or 6 of their custom attributes by the time we're done, and I want to know if this will negatively affect our page performance. I.e. will these be additional resources that the browser has to download? I have checked in Firebug and I don't see additional requests, but I don't know if that is because requests are not made by the browser, or if Firebug simply doesn't track them.

  I've been beating my head on the desk tring to figure this one out. I have a table that stores job information, and reasons for a job not being completed. The reasons are numeric,01,02,03,etc. You can have two reason for a pending job. If you select two reasons, they are stored in the same column, seperated by a comma. This is anExample from the JOBID table: Job_Number User_Assigned PendingInfo 1 user1 01,02 Now, there is another table named Pending, that stores what those values actually represent. 01=Not enough info, 02=Not enough time, 03=Waiting Review. Example: Pending_Num PendingWord 01 Not Enough Info 02 Not Enough Time What I'm trying to do is query the database to give me all the job numbers, users, pendinginfo, and pending reason. I can break out the first value, but can't figure out how to do the second. • Multiple webservices in 1 ear/ejb project

  We have a ejb project (which is in an ear) that shares quite a bit of code between 2 webservices. The classes that the webservices expose are in different packages but they have different names. For example Web service1 com.d.trunk.Response WS1.process( com.d.trunk.Input ); Web service2 com.d.fwd.Response WS2.process( com.d.fwd.Input ); So this builds fine, but when we deploy and we view the generated wsdl and the generated xsd things begin to go a bit haywire. So if we look at web service 2 it generates the wsdl and xsd as we expect. But when we look at ws 1's wsdl for some reason it includes the xsd from the ws 2 and its own xsd. And its own xsd are missing key types like the Response type. Is this an issue because we have 2 web services in 1 ejb project? Or some config issue with Netbeans 6.7.1 and glassfish v2?

  I have a table Users and a table Items In the Items table, I have fields such as ModifiedBy CreatedBy AssignedTo which all have a userId integer. The database is set up to have these as foreign keys back to the Users table. When using LINQToSQL, the relationships which are automatically built from the dbml end up giving me names like User, User1 and User2 e.g. myItem.User1.Name or myItem.User2.Name Obviously this isn't very readable and I'd like it be along the lines of myItem.CreatedByUser.Name or myItem.ModifiedByUser.Name etc I could change the names of the relationships but that means I have to redo that every time I change the db schema and refresh the dbml. Is there any way round this?

  Hi, I have a problem. I have 4 tables: Invoice_Payment, Invoice, Client, and Calendar Basically, I have the below query, which works well, except, months with no date_due don't return. I.E only months with a date_due will be returned. I think I have to use a left join and join the calendar table with something like: LEFT JOIN Calendar ON Invoice_Payments.date_paid = Calendar.date_field. But I'm having no luck SELECT MONTHNAME(Invoice_Payments.date_paid) as month, SUM(Invoice_Payments.paid_amount) AS total FROM Invoice, Client, Invoice_Payments WHERE Client.registered_id = 1 AND Client.id = Invoice.client_id And Invoice.id = Invoice_Payments.invoice_id AND date_paid IS NOT NULL GROUP BY YEAR(Invoice_Payments.date_paid), MONTH(Invoice_Payments.date_paid) Any help appreciated.

• Storing multiple inputs with the same name in a CodeIgniter session

  I've posted this in the CodeIgniter forum and exhausted the forum search engine as well, so apologies if cross-posting is frowned upon. Essentially, I've got a single input, set up as <input type="text" name="goal">. At a user's request, they may add another goal, which throws a duplicate to the DOM. What I need to do is grab these values in my CodeIgniter controller and store them in a session variable. My controller is currently constructed thusly: function goalsAdd(){ $meeting_title = $this->input->post('topic'); $meeting_hours = $this->input->post('hours'); $meeting_minutes = $this->input->post('minutes'); $meeting_goals = $this->input->post('goal'); $meeting_time = $meeting_hours . ":" . $meeting_minutes; $sessionData = array( 'totaltime' => $meeting_time, 'title' => $meeting_title, 'goals' => $meeting_goals ); $this->session->set_userdata($sessionData); $this->load->view('test', $sessionData); } Currently, obviously, my controller gets the value of each input, writing over previous values in its wake, leaving only a string of the final value. I need to store these, however, so I can print them on a subsequent page. What I imagine I'd love to do is extend the input class to be able to call $this-input-posts('goal'). Eventually I will need to store other arrays to session values. But I'm totally open to implementation suggestion. Thanks so much for any help you can give.

• jQuery multiple themes on one page

  This is driving me NUTS! I've followed the post here which just doesn't seem to be working: http://www.filamentgroup.com/lab/using_multiple_jquery_ui_themes_on_a_single_page/ I have a base theme, for examples sake it's the Smoothness theme from the jQuery UI gallery. Then I have a 'red' theme which basically colours the buttons red. Here is the theme I created. So I go to download my theme. Choose Advanced settings, set the scope to 'red' and my theme folder name to 'red' and download. First of all I'm not entirely 100% sure which folder I'm to copy over to my project is it the 'development-bundle\themes' folder (which contains my red folder) or the '\css\red' folder? I've tried both. The post above seems to suggest if I copy my themes folder and link to my theme in the css it'll work when I add a class of 'red' to a wrapper div or element. So I've linked the themes like so in my file: <link type="text/css" href="themes/base/jquery.ui.all.css" rel="stylesheet" /> <link type="text/css" href="themes/red/jquery.ui.all.css" rel="stylesheet" /> The base theme loads and works all honkey doorey but the red theme doesn't. I've got a button styled like so: <input type="submit" id="btn" value="A submit button" class="red" /> I've also tried: <div class="red"> <input type="submit" id="btn" value="A submit button" /> </div> Neither work. When I remove the 'themes/base/jquery.ui.all.css' css file link the button's aren't styled at all. Crazy! I'm pulling my hair out. Where am I going wrong? Surely they should just make it easy enough to download JUST the theme folder and reference the ui.all file.

  One last question for the evening, I'm building the main input function of my Haskell program and I have to check for the args that are brought in so I use args <- getArgs case length args of 0 -> putStrLn "No Arguments, exiting" otherwise -> { other methods here} Is there an intelligent way of setting up other methods, or is it in my best interest to write a function that the other case is thrown to within the main? Or is there an even better solution to the issue of cases. I've just got to take in one name.

  I'm using Kohana 3 to create a website that has two applications, an admin application and the actual site frontend. I have separated my folders to have the two applications separated, so the hierarchy looks as follows: /applications /admin /classes /controller /... /site /classes /controller /.... My question is, how I need to go about creating a shared /model folder. Essentially, both the admin and site itself operates on the same data, so the database layer and business logic remains more or less the same. So to me, it makes sense to have a single model folder, sitting outside of the two application folders. Is it possible to achieve the following hierarchy: /applications /model --> Where model sits in a neatly generic location, accessible to all applications /admin /classes /controller /... /site /classes /controller /.... I think ajax and json encode will work here but don't know how to make them work here.
