    I'd like to write a bot to play in the 3D RoboCup simulated soccer league. Can anyone point me at some code that already deals with communication with the server, etc? Ideally this would be .NET code, but an example produced in any language would still be useful. EDIT For anyone who is not familiar with the RoboCup 3D Soccer league, check out this YouTube video.     Am pretty new to ROR. Need help in Rails form validation. Hey, am using rails 2.3.5 I have a basic validates_presence_of for the fields in the form. Now when i don't enter field details, i do get an error, but the error is displayed as: {{count}} errors prohibited this {{model}} from being saved There were problems with the following fields: {{attribute}} {{message}} {{attribute}} {{message}} Any help will be highly appreciated.

    I was wondering if there was any tool available that detects code plagiarism and works well with Javascript. I want to test assignment submissions for homework I'm going to hand out. The only tool that I know of that can do this is MOSS, but, from what I've heard, it's pretty poor for anything else than C. Unfortunately, I can't test it yet because I don't have submissions :).

    I am pretty new to python and I discovered by myself that I can create a list of function and call with a for loop. example: def a(args): print "A" def b(args): print "B" def c(args): print "C " + str(args) functions = [a,b,c] for i in functions: i(1) So, my question is: is there any good practice or elegant way to use list of functions and what is a good use of all this?   • Adobe Air: Is it possible to save files to a network path (osx)

    I was wondering if it would be possible to write a file, not to the local system, but to a connected server or other network path.     Hi, It is probably pretty simple but I cannot figure it out: Say I have tables A and B both with the same columns. I need to do SELECT * FROM A,B without having results merged into one row. I.e. when each table has 2 rows, I need the result to have 4 rows. EDIT: I know about JOIN but dont know how to join the tables without predicate. I need merge them. Thanks

  • Identifying Swing component at a particular screen coordinate? (And manually dispatching MouseEvents

    I'm doing some work making a Java app compatible with alternative input devices. Unfortunately, the device in question has a Java API that's barely into the alpha stages right now, so it's pretty poor. What I need to do is essentially set up a replacement structure for the dispatch of MouseEvents. Does anyone know if there's a way in Swing to take a screen coordinate and find out what Swing component is displayed on top at that screen point?

I'm trying to get my URLs to look like this: /Corporate/Users/Edit/1 /Corporate/Stores/Edit/17 /Corporate/Contacts/Edit/17 /Store/Contacts/Create /Store/Products/Edit/29 Pretty much like plain-vanilla urls, except with a user type at the front. I'm running into a lot of problems with duplicate controller names, etc. Is there a simple way to do this? I looked briefly at Areas, but this seemed way to complicated.

(there are no other files in these directories) is it possible to have 'fake/pretty' urls for the above files as below? /directory/subdir_1 /directory/subdir_2 ... so this path would show whether the visitor typed that,/directory/subdir_2/ or /directory/subdir_2/index.php.
