  I have a multidimensional array. The array itself is fine. My problem is that the script takes up monster amounts of memory, and since I'm running this on my MAMP install on my iBook G4, my computer freezes up. CREATE TABLE some_choosen_data_in_order( id SERIAL PRIMARy KEY, id_items INTEGER[], ); This table contains array type field. Each row contains values of IDs from table "items" in specyfic order. For example: {2,4,233,5}. Now, I want to get data from table "items" for choosen row from table "some_choosen_data_in_order" with order for elements in array type. The my attempt is JOIN: SELECT I.* FROM items AS I JOIN some_choosen_data_in_order AS S ON I.id = ANY(S.id_items) WHERE S.id = ? Second attempt was subquery like: SELECT I.* FROM items AS I WHERE I.id = ANY (ARRAY[SELECT S.id_items FROM some_choosen_data_in_order WHERE id = ?]) But none of them keep IDs order in array field. Could You help me, how to get data from "items" table with correspond with array IDs order from "some_choosen_data_in_order" table for specyfic row?

In SQL how can I produce sensible metrics to show how closely related the parents are? • jqGrid local date manipulation; problem with row ids when deleting and adding new rows

  I'm using jqGrid as a client side grid input, allowing the user to input multiple records before POSTing all the data back at once. I'm having a problem where if the user has added a few records (say 3 ) the id's for the records will be 1,2,3. if the user deletes record 2, you're left with 1 and 3 for the id of the records. When the user now adds a new records, jqGrid assigns that records the id 3 again since it just seems to count the total records and increments it by one for the new record. This causes problems when selecting rows as now the row id's are 1, 3 and 3. Does anyone know how to access the row ids of records as I could probably use the afterSubmit event and reassign the row id's increasing from 1. ( so after i delete row id 2, this will set the other row id's to 1 and 2) Any other suggestions to solve this problem? Thanks

  Is there a way to specify distinct sequences for each table in Hibernate, if the ID is defined on a mapped superclass? All entities in our application extend a superclass called DataObject like this: @MappedSuperclass public abstract class DataObject implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.SEQUENCE) @Column(name = "id") private int id; } @Entity @Table(name = "entity_a") public class EntityA extends DataObject { ... } @Entity @Table(name = "entity_b") public class EntityB extends DataObject { ... } This causes all entities to use a shared sequence, the default hibernate_sequence. What I would like to do is use a separate sequence for each entity, for example entity_a_sequence and entity_b_sequence in the example above. If the ID were specified on the subclasses then I could use the @SequenceGenerator annotation to specify a sequence for each entity, but in this case the ID is on the superclass. Given that ID is in the superclass, is there a way I can use a separate sequence for each entity — and if so, how? (We are using PostgreSQL 8.3, in case that's relevant)

  Lets assume I have two tables Table tA ID ID2 SomeColumns Table tB ID ID2 SomeOtherColumns I am looking to create a Object let's call it ObjectA (based on tA), that will have a one-to-many relationship to ObjectB (based on tB). In my example however, I need to use the combination of ID and ID2 as the foreign key. If I was writing SQL it would look like this: select tB.* from tA, tB where tA.ID = tB.ID and tA.ID2 = tB.ID2; I know that for each ID/ID2 combination in tA I should have many rows in tB, therefor I know it's a one-to-many combination. • layout messed up once spinner has entries

  Hello, I have <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/LinearLayoutPlayer" xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <Spinner android:id="@+id/Spinner01" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="100"></Spinner> <ToggleButton android:text="@+id/ToggleButton01" android:id="@+id/ToggleButton01" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1"></ToggleButton> </LinearLayout> Which displays a spinner and next to it a toggle button. Everything okay so far. Of course the spinner need some entries, so I add to the spinner the attribute: android:entries="@array/myentries" The problem now is that the toggle button is a bit lower than the spinner and the botton of the toggle button is cut off, maybe 3 or 5 lines of pixels. Anyone an idea what is wrong here? Android is version 2.2 Thanks!

  Eclipse STS is reporting I have problem with my spring project. It's a fresh project generated from the Spring Web MVC Project Template (File-New-Spring Template Project-Spring Web MVC ). When I create the project it has no problems - it's only once I modify the pom (by adding the hibernate dependencies) that STS then picks up the spring problem. Strangely if I revert the pom the problem remains. Also I can run the project on a spring tc server and all works correctly. Any ideas how I can satisfy this problem report? • plupload variable upload path?

  Hi all, I'm using plupload to upload files to my server (http://www.plupload.com/index.php), however I wanted to know if there was any way of making the upload path variable. Basically I need to select the upload path folder first, then choose the files using plupload and then upload to the initially selected folder. I've tried a few different ways but I can't seem to pass along the variable folder path to the upload.php file. I'm using the flash version of plupload. • Updating multiple tables with LinqToSql in one unit of work

  Table 1: int ID-a(pk) Table 2: int ID-a(pk), int ID-b(pk) Table 3: int ID-b(pk), string C I have the data to insert into Table 1. But I do not have the ID-a, which is autogenerated. I have many string C to insert in Table 3. I am trying to insert row into Table 1, get the ID-a to insert in Table 2 along with the ID-b that is auto-Generated in Table 3 when I submit each string C, all in one submission to db. Right now I am calling dc.SubmitChanges twice in same call. Is it efficient to have to submit changes twice on same DataContext or can this be combined further?

Is there anyway to get a null instead?
