• Java file manager won't load in Firefox

  I am using Webmin and I can't get the file manager to load in Firefox. It is a simple, Java based file manager. When I try to load it I get the following error: This module requires java to function, but your browser does not support java Internet Explorer works fine and I have yet to try on Chrome. Java is installed and I have the same problem on Windows and Linux. Java seems to work fine with everything else, with the exception of webcams. Any advice on the issue would be appreciated. Edit: I just checked and it doesn't work in Chrome either.

• Windows Boot Manager, linking a 'device' to boot linux

  I'm attempting to boot linux on a UEFI-GPT machine with a Windows Boot Manager (WBM). So far I have installed Archlinux (Arch) with Grub. The grubx64.efi is successfully on my windows boot partition and I can see the option to use it in UEFI-BIOS, selecting this loads grub and I'm able to get into Arch fine. I have noticed that in the Windows Boot Manager, selecting from the splash screen, 'Change defaults or choose other options' 'Choose other options' 'Use a device', shows the boot options as in UEFI-BIOS, in my case grub shows as 'Linux'. Selecting 'Linux' reboots the computer and loads grub then Arch. Is there anyway to use this entry for the device 'Linux' to show directly on the WBM splash screen under the entry for Windows 8.1? Ideally i'd like the 'Arch Linux' to link to the 'Linux' device. Guidance with bcdedit appreciated, thanks in advance.

  Where is the configuration manager for SQL Express 2005? I need to configure SQL Server for TCP/IP but there is no configuration manager with the package. I see SQL Server Database Publishing Wizard, I see SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access, but no Configuration Manager. According to the MSDN, there should be one. I've even looked online for a download of the Configuration Manager for SQL Server 2005, but could not find one. Did I miss something in the download or should I just scrap SQL Server Express and download the full-blown SQL Server for Developers?

  Dear all: I'm new to MySQL, and I have a question about the memory. I have a 200mb table(MyISAM, 2,000,000 rows), and I try to load all of it to the memory. I use python(actually MySQLdb in python) with sql: SELECT * FROM table. However, from my linux "top" I saw this python process uses 50% of my memory(which is total 6GB) I'm curious about why it uses about 3GB memory only for a 200 mb table. Thanks in advance!

Error Code 800706B3 This error appears before I can even attempt to connect to an SSRS instance. In addition to this problem, I'm not able to connect to my SSRS instance via SSMS on my desktop. When I attempt to connect, I get the following error message: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (mscorlib) Additional information: The operation could not be completed.   I work on remote Windows Server 2008 machine over RDP and frequently need to revive broken copy&pasting over RDP. Which is killing rdpclip process in Task Manger (tab "Processes") and launching it gain by: switching to tab Applications -- pressing button "New Task..." -- typing 'rdpclip'-- clicking OK. Well, I do not need to type 'rdpclip' if it is the last used command. The problem that in "Create New Task" of Windows Task Manager I always launch rdpclip only but it shows the last run program from Windows command prompt (Win +R), usually it is "notepad" for me. Is it possible to bind the last used command/task to Task Manager only? and how?

  I had some 512MB PC3200 Kingston mem modules in a server, and I ordered replacement Kingston memory in 1GB sticks. The vendor said they were out of stock and I agreed to let them ship me "compatible" Samsung memory. However, after installing, the MB posted BIOS errors and wouldn't even boot to a BIOS screen. Both memory was ECC PC3200. Any ideas why that would happen?

• How to connect to a queue manager with ssl enabled server connection channel when authentication is

  I am trying to write a java application connecting to server connection channel with SSL enabled. So far, I have been successfully connected to the channel by setting authentication to 'optional'. However, when I set it to be 'required', the connection fails. Here is what I did: Create key db for queue manager and keystore for the java client user. Create key/self-signed certificates for the queue manager and the client user, with names prefixed ibmwebspheremq. Export, exchange and import certificates for the queue manager and the client. (I did answered 'yes' when being asked whether I trust the queue manager cert). The location and password to the truststore and keystore are set to point to the same keystore at the client side, where the orgininal created client user key and the imported queue manager key are. With other settings being the same, if I switch back to 'optional' authentication, the connection works. I think there is something I understand incorrectly about this ssl authenticaion but cannot figure out what. Could someone kindly help me?

  Recently Gmail has started marking emails sent directly from my server (using php mail()) as spam and I'm having problems trying to find the issue. If I send an exact copy of the same email from my email client it goes to the Gmail inbox. The emails are plain text, around 7 lines long and contain a URL link in plain text. As the emails sent from my client are getting through fine I'm thinking that the content isn't the issue. I guess that most users would agree that it is currently rather inconvenient to find, install and especially keep up-to-date Emacs Lisp libraries. These pages make life a bit easier Emacs Lisp List - Problem: I see dead people (links). Emacswiki - Problem: May contain traces of nuts (malicious code). Some ideas Many packages (incorporate the Emacs Lisp List and other lists of libraries). Only packages that have been tested. Support for more than one package archive (so people can choose between many/tested packages). Dependency calculated based on required features only. Dependencies take particular versions into account. Only use versions that have been released upstream. Use versions from version control systems if available. Packages are categorized. Packages can be uninstalled and updated not only installed. Support creating fork of upstream version of packages. Support publishing these forks. Support choosing a fork. After installation packages are activated. Generate autoloads. Integration with Emacswiki (see wikirel.el). Users can tag, comment ... packages and share that information. Only FSF-assigned/GPL/FOSS software or don't care about license. Package manager should be integrated in Emacs. Support contacting author. Lots of metadata. Suggest alternatives before installing a particular package. • Device Manager - does USB listing look right?

  I obtained the drivers from the manufacturer for my HT-Link NEC USB 2.0 2-port Cardbus card. When I plugged in the card before I got the drivers, 3 new entries showed up in the Device Manager - two "NEC PCI to USB Open Host Controller" and one "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host controller." With the card plugged in, I uninstalled those two drivers. I then removed the card. I copied the new drivers to c:\windows\system32\drivers and the .inf file to c:\windows\inf. I also copied the drivers & inf to a new directory called c:\windows\drivers\ousb2. I reinserted the card. Windows automatically installed the same drivers as before. I selected 'update driver' on the "NEC PCI to USB..." entry and didn't see any other options. I then selected 'have disk' and pointed to c:\windows\drivers\ousb2 and got a message "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware." I then selected 'update driver' on the "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB...," and manually selected "USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller" (OWC 4/15/2003 2.1.3.1). Windows then automatically found a USB root hub, and I manually selected "USB 2.0 Root Hub Device" (OWC 4/15/2003 2.1.3.1). Now there are two sections in the Device Manager titled "Universal Serial Bus controllers." I plugged in my external USB hard disk adapter, and "USB Mass Storage Device" was added to the first set. (I unplugged the hard disk adapter first...) The hard disk adapter still doesn't work in that Cardbus card with the new drivers. I don't think the above looks right - a second set of USB controllers listed in the Device Manager, and the NEC entries still in the first set, and the the USB mass storage device still in the first set. Any help appreciated. (Windows XP PRO SP3 w/all current updates.)

• Google Chrome freezing when I open Bookmark Manager

  I have an issue with Google Chrome freezing whenever I open the Bookmark Manager. Only that particular tab freezes, and I can still use the other tabs. No bookmarks appear, and I cannot type in the 'Search bookmarks' field. This seems to be related with my logged in profile. If I change profile, it allows me to login. I've also tried to login with my profile on different computers using Chrome, and it also freezes. However, I can still add bookmarks from the bookmarks tab. I just cannot use the Bookmark Manager. Any ideas what I can do? Is it possible to somehow export my bookmarks, reset the profile bookmarks (without losing other information like extensions etc), and re-import them?

  My machine has a Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics chipset. The machine is currently running 64 bit windows 7 premium with 3GB of ram (1x1gb and 1x2gb). I note that the Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD shares the physical memory to process the graphics. now, the total available graphics memory can be up to 1,340 MB with a 32-bit operating system and 3 GB system memory or 1,759 MB with a 64-bit operating system and 4 GB system memory. I am considering investing in a 4GB stick to replace the 1gb stick bringing the total up to 6gb, mainly for an increase in graphics processing ability. Can anyone let me know what sort of power (if any over the 4gb) I could expect by upgrading to 6GB?

  I'm trying to get a Yaws web server working on a cloud service (Amazon AWS). I've compilled and installed a local copy on the server. My problem is that I can't get Yaws to run while running on either port 8000 or port 80. • Unable to connect to sites using IIS7 Manager

  I'm a developer who has been assigned the task of managing and configuring a new IIS7 instance on a remote server. My domain account has been added as to the local Administrators group on the box, but IIS7 has been configured to accept connections only from accounts with Windows credentials. I've added my domain account to the IIS Manager Permissions for one of my sites, but I'm still unable to connect to either that site, the IIS instance or the server in general from my local machine. There's obviously a missing element to the configuration of this setup but I don't know where to start looking. The event logs on the IIS box show audit failures for my account when trying to connect remote via the IIS7 Manager tool on my local machine. Suggestions gratefully received.

  I've written a script which updates an environment variable, but I need to tell Program Manager to update the computer's programs with this new information. I was given this as the API call that is made within another program to cause this: ::SendMessage(::FindWindow("Progman", NULL), WM_WININICHANGE, 0L, (LPARAM)"Environment"); I am attempting to translate this into an AutoHotKey PostMessage call, but I'm doing something wrong, as it isn't working. • Finding a message in an archive in Kerio MailServer 6

  I need to locate some emails from the archive. Kerio is set to archive emails on a daily basis, keeping the last 2 months. From the mail log, I found entries like: [09/Oct/2012 18:02:20] Recv: Queue-ID: 5074589c-00004ddb, Service: SMTP, From: <info@XXXXXXXXXXXX>, To: <Suzette@xxxxxxxxxxx>, Size: 699, Sender-Host: mail.XXXXXXXXXXX, User: automailer@XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I need to locate this specific email. The archive folder has a lot of ZIP files like: 2012-Oct-06 2012-Oct-07 2012-Oct-08 2012-Oct-09 ... I assumed this would be in the 2012-Oct-09 zip file. I extracted it, and the zip file contains a lot of emails in the /#msgs/ folder, named: 0000000a.eml 0000000b.eml 0000000c.eml ... I did a search for the last part of the Queue-ID, 00004ddb, but it returned no results. I tried other random searches for other emails in the mail log, but I couldn't find a single one. Any idea how one goes about finding such an email in the archive?

• Joomla 1.5 Media Manager sets incorrect file permissions when uploading

  Howdy all, I have a Joomla 1.5 installation running on Windows Server 2008, installed via the Web Platform Installer. When uploading images with the media manager (native uploader, not the flash bulk uploader), the files arrive on the server correctly, but are given incorrect permissions. Specifically, the IIS_IUSRS group is not given access to the file. I might be incorrect about what group/user is SUPPOSED to get access to the files, but so far, I've found that unless I give IIS_IUSRS access to the uploaded files, they won't appear on the site or in the media manager (appear as broken images). Once I give IIS_IUSRS permission to the files, they work fine. So far, all the research I've done has led me to linux specific fixes that involve either changing the umask on the server, or directly modifying the Joomla codebase to add an appropriate chmod command to the upload process, but I really don't want to modify Joomla directly. I have to believe there's a setting here somewhere that will do the job, either on the Joomla or Windows side of the equation. Any thoughts? Scott
