    Hi I'm working with c# simple application to display system date time. textbox.Text = DateTime.Now.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy"); but it is showing result as : 05-12-2010 What is the problem with this code? or do I need to change any where in the regional settings of my machine. thank you

  • Build automation: Is it usual to use QMake for non-Qt projects?

    So, I'm planning to write a C++ library and I want it to be cross-platform, and as this library won't deal with UI and I want it to have as little dependencies as possible, I won't be using Qt (actually Qt won't really help me to achieve what I want, all I plan on using is STL and Boost). Now when it comes to build a cross-platform project, I really like QMake as it's extremely easy to use and I have experience with it. I also heard good things about CMake, though I really doubt it's as easy to use as QMake. Anyway, here is my question: Should I stick with build automation tool that I know or is QMake just out of context for a non-Qt project? Should I take this as an opportunity to learn CMake? Or is there a better alternative to these two?

    I have a really simple question, yet I can't find an answer for it. I guess I am missing something in the usage of the boost timer.hpp. Here is my code, that unfortunately gives me an error message: include <boost/timer.hpp> int main() { boost::timer t; } And the error messages are as follows: /usr/include/boost/timer.hpp: In member function ‘double boost::timer::elapsed_max() const’: /usr/include/boost/timer.hpp:59: error: ‘numeric_limits’ is not a member of ‘std’ /usr/include/boost/timer.hpp:59: error: ‘::max’ has not been declared /usr/include/boost/timer.hpp:59: error: expected primary-expression before ‘double’ /usr/include/boost/timer.hpp:59: error: expected `)' before ‘double’ The used library is boost 1.36 (SUSE 11.1).     From my perspective, we're constructing our own 'flavour' of NAnt/Ivy/CruiseControl.Net in-house and can't help but get the feeling that other dev shops are doing exactly the same work, but then everybody is finding out the same problems and pitfalls with it. I'm not complaining about NAnt, Ivy or CruiseControl at all, as they've been brilliant in helping our team of developers become more sure of the quality of their code, but it just seems strange that these tools are very popular, yet we're all re-inventing the CI-wheel. Is there a pre-made solution for building .Net applications, using the tools mentioned above?

I have found a few that are quite nice, but one of my requirements is that I can provide a json/xml/etc source of available days/times and the control should only allow selections of available days/times. NOW how do i choose the employee with the highest no of shifts under the specified range date, please this is really important

  • Pomodoro technique & other ways to increase personal productivity? Any ideas?

    I recently came across Pomodoro Technique as a way to increase productivity, get in the zone, and in general feel a sense of accomplishment at setting some short programming goals and achieving them. So far I have enjoyed it and the sense of accomplishment I get after seeing a bunch of short goals add up at the end of the day to a lot of work done on a programming project. I'm looking for other ideas similar or not to the pomodoro technique to add a little variety to achieving goals, personal productivity, get in the programming zone, etc. Any ideas or techniques that are expressed formally such as in the pomodoro paper, that are not trite fluffy maxims?
