  • asp.net mvc 2 method not found

    When I run my asp.net mvc 2 site (shared hosting) I get the following error: Method not found: 'Void System.Web.Mvc.DataAnnotationsModelValidatorProvider.set_AddImplicitRequiredAttributeForValueTypes(Boolean)'. In the bin directory I have System.Web.Mvc.dll version 2.0.50217.0 On my local dev machine it runs fine. Is it possible that if the hosting provider has a different mvc 2 version installed it would cause this error? Thank you!

  • Does AOL have a contacts api?

    In their dev site,AOL says the contacts api would coming soon from the year 2008-_- but I can't find anything about it since then, and I find in window live add contacts site: http://cid-7b76c1c8e1ade1ea.profile.live.com/connect/ They have a program to port contacts from AOL, that is this only for Microsoft. Is there another method to do this?

    Today I run this select 'exec sp_refreshview N''['+table_schema+'].['+table_name+']''' from information_schema.tables where table_type = 'view' This generates a lot of: exec sp_refreshview N'[SCHEMA].[TABLE]'. I then copy the result to the query editor window and run all those execs. How do I do this all at once? I would like to have a stored procedure called something like dev.RefreshAllViews which I can execute to do this...

    I'd like to export plotting symbols form R as a png graphic. But I haven't found a perfect way yet. Using png("symbol.png",width=20, height=20, bg="transparent") par(mar=c(0,0,0,0)) plot.new() symbols(1, 1, circles=0.3, bg=2, inches=FALSE, lwd=2, bty="n") dev.off() creates a little border around the symbol (I'd like it to be transparent) and the symbol isn't filling the whole space. Is there a more specific way of doing this ?

    Hi, I'm running through the Ruby on Rails tutorial at http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html (adjusting where appropriate for Google's App Engine). All is well up till section 6.3: when I try to click "New Post", I get the following error: Internal Server Error (500) Request Method: GET Request URL: http://localhost:8080/500.html access denied (java.io.FilePermission /dev/urandom read) It works fine when I upload the application to Google's App Engine; it's just on my development machine (OS X 10.6) that it doesn't work.     I've got an app that I'm trying to get working again after wiping my system and installing Snow Leopard. I installed Ruby 1.9 from Macports (now a later version) and the dev server starts up just fine, but then dies on the first request, only telling me "Illegal instruction". I have no idea what's causing this or even how to go about debugging it. Does anyone have any ideas?

We can do the updates in code without problems, but the available dev machines all appear to be running Silverlight 3.
