    I want to know how long certain files like css, html and js are desirable to be cached by .htaccess setting and why different time setting for each file type? In few examples i saw that someone cache html for 10 mins, js for a month and imagery for a year.

But, I have no idea of the general steps I would take to achieve this. Would I use MKMapView, or Core Location, or both?     My RIA enabled Silverlight Application is setting the thread culture in the App constructor (this is absolutley okay since it is an intranet application and will never ever be used by someone who is not german): public App() { InitializeComponent(); Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new CultureInfo("de-DE"); } It does what it should, the DataForms are displaying datetime values in german notation. BUT: it is spontaneously changing to en-US notation when navigating between items in the data source that is bound to the DataForm. Why?

    A dual interface in COM is one that is able to be accessed via a DispInterface or via VTable methods. Now can someone tell me what is exactly what the difference is between the two methods? I thought that a VTable is a virtual table which holds the pointers to the different functions when implementing a class hierarchy which has virtual functions that can be overridden in child classes. However I do not see how this is related to a dual interface in COM?

    Can someone point me to a good definition of Gauge32 vs Counter32? I understand that Counter32 can wrap, but Gauge32 can't. I'm trying to understand their semantics.     Hi folks, Is it possible to step through the official ASP.NET MVC 2 code via using the Symbol Server thingy in visual studio 2010? I know I can download the full open source MVC code from codeplex, build it and then get my code to reference THAT codebase dll's... But i'm wondering if this could be achieved by using the Symbol Server stuff instead? If so, can someone go through some steps please, about how to achieve this?

    I created an Android project, added it to my git repo, comitted and pushed my clone to the master. Later I tried checking out the project and Eclipse complained about missing src folders. I checked my repo and the master repo and the src folders are missing (Im sure they were there when I created the project). So can someone explain what happened here? Im new to git so maybe I missed something?

    As far as file permissions are concerned, when you use a php script to unzip a tar file, who is the "owner" user of the files created? I'm wondering if its my ftp user because I uploaded the script file? Or does apache own the file? I know their are flags to be set to preserve the original permissions which I don't want (files where created and archived by someone else). I want my user to be the creater/owner of the files.
