  • php Set a anonymous function in an instance

    - by geekay
I am just starting out with PHP, and I am wondering if there is a way to add an anonymous function to a class instance. For instance, lets say... class A{ public B; } $c = new A(); //This is where I am getting a little confused... //The following wont work $c->B = function(){echo('HelloWorld');}; $c->B(); What I am hoping to do is reuse the same spit of code in a great number of different applications, and make it so that I can just 'swap-out' and replace functions in specific instances. I am using php5.3 (so anonymous functions should work, just not in the way that I am using them). Thanks so very much for your time!! -GK

  • Template class giving linker error ...

    - by Atul
Hi, I am having a template class which is exposed, in which I added a method. This class is in namespace A. Now, I am calling this method in another namespace (say B). Initially, compiler gave me linker error saying "unresolved external symbol" for this particular method. However, if I call this method inside the same namespace (that is A), it links well. After that, it links well in namespace B as well. Why could this be happening ? Does this has something to do with the creating Template object of my class ? Atul

  • jQuery exclude elements with certain class in selector

    - by Alex Crooks
I want to setup a click event trigger in jQuery for certain anchor tags. I want to open certain links in a new tab while ignoring ones with a certain class (before you ask I cannot put classes on the links I am trying to catch as they come from a CMS). I want to exclude links with class "button" OR "generic_link" I have tried $(".content_box a[class!=button]").click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); window.open($(this).attr('href')); }); But that doesn't seem to work, also how do I do an OR statement to include "generic_link" in the exclusion? Many thanks

  • CSS :after pseudo element on INPUT field

    - by matra
Hi, I am trying to use :after CSS pseudo element on INPUT field, but it does not work. If I use it with SPAN, it works OK. <style type="text/css"> .mystyle:after {content:url(smiley.gif);} .mystyle {color:red;} </style> This works (puts the smily after "buu!" and berfore "some more") <span class="mystyle">buuu!</span>a some more This does not work - it only color someValue in red, but there is no smiley. <input class="mystyle" type="text" value="someValue"> What am I doing wrong? should I use another pseudo selector. Note: I can not add SPAN sround my INPUT; because it is being generated by a third party control. Matraj

  • django: _init_ def work but does not update to class in django form

    - by tgngo
Hi expert there, this is my form: class IPTrackerSearchForm(forms.Form): keyword = forms.CharField(max_length=100, widget=forms.TextInput(attrs={'size':'50'})) search_in = forms.ChoiceField(required=False, choices=ANY_CHOICE + MODULE_SEARCH_IN_CHOICES) product = forms.CharField(max_length=64,widget=forms.TextInput(attrs={'size':'50'})) family = forms.CharField(max_length=64,widget=forms.TextInput(attrs={'size':'50'})) temp_result = Merlin.objects.values('build').distinct() result = [(value['build'], value['build']) for value in temp_result] build = forms.ChoiceField(choices=ANY_CHOICE + result) circuit_name = forms.CharField(max_length=256,widget=forms.TextInput(attrs={'size':'50'})) parameterization = forms.CharField(max_length=1024,widget=forms.TextInput(attrs={'size':'50'})) metric = forms.CharField(max_length=64,widget=forms.TextInput(attrs={'size':'50'})) show_in_one_page = forms.BooleanField(required=False, label="Show filtered result in one page", widget=forms.CheckboxInput(attrs={'class':'checkbox'})) def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): super(IPTrackerSearchForm, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) temp_result = Merlin.objects.values('build').distinct() self.result = [(value['build'], value['build']) for value in temp_result] self.build = forms.ChoiceField(choices=ANY_CHOICE + self.result) print self.result With the purpose that, each time I refresh the webpage, when have new record to "build" column in database. It should update to the drop down box "build" here but It never update unless restart the server. I use print and see that ini detect new recrd but can notrefect to build in Class. Many thanks

  • Make a Linq-to-SQL Generated User Class Inherit from MembershipUser

    - by Adam Albrecht
I am currently building a custom Membership Provider for my Asp.net MVC website. I have an existing database with a Users table and I'm using Linq-to-Sql to automatically generates this class for me. What I would like to do is have this generated User class inherit from the MembershipUser class so I can more easily use it in my custom Membership Provider in methods such as GetUser. I already have all the necessary columns in the table. Is there any way to do this? Or am I going about this the completely wrong way? Thanks!

  • MKL Accelerated Math Libraries for Java...

    - by Kaopua
I've looked at the related threads on StackOverflow and Googled with not much luck. I'm also very new to Java (I'm coming from a C# and .NET background) so please bear with me. There is so much available in the Java world it's pretty overwhelming. I'm starting on a new Java-on-Linux project that requires some heavy and highly repetitious numerical calculations (i.e. statistics, FFT, Linear Algebra, Matrices, etc.). So maximizing the performance of the mathematical operations is a requirement, as is ensuring the math is correct. So hence I have an interest in finding a Java library that perhaps leverages native acceleration such as MKL, and is proven (so commercial options are definitely a possibility here). In the .NET space there are highly optimized and MKL accelerated commercial Mathematical libraries such as Centerspace NMath and Extreme Optimization. Is there anything comparable in Java? Most of the math libraries I have found for Java either do not seem to be actively maintained (such as Colt) or do not appear to leverage MKL or other native acceleration (such as Apache Commons Math). I have considered trying to leverage MKL directly from Java myself (e.g. JNI), but me being new to Java (let alone interoperating between Java and native libraries) it seemed smarter finding a Java library that has already done this correctly, efficiently, and is proven. Again I apologize if I am mistaken or misguided (even in regarding any libraries I've mentioned) and my ignorance of the Java offerings. It's a whole new world for me coming from the heavily commercialized Microsoft stock so I could easily be mistaken on where to look and regarding the Java libraries I've mentioned. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice.

  • org.hibernate.HibernateException: Error while accessing enum.values(): class com.mksoft.fbautomate.d

    - by Misha Koshelev
This error is driving me nuts!!! Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: com.mksoft.fbautomate.domain.Account$Type.values() The same exact class works fine in a separate Groovy file. Any ideas/help much appreciated. Most confusing... http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/lang/Enum.html has no values() method! Here is my class: @Entity class Account { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.AUTO) public Long id enum Type {MYVALUE} @Enumerated(EnumType.STRING) public Type type public String email // @org.hibernate.annotations.Type(type="encryptedString") public String pass public String fullName String toString() { "type:\""+type+"\",email:\""+email+"\""+",fullName=\""+fullName+"\"" } } Thank you! • Enumerate Class Properties in C#

    - by user275561
I have a class Similar to this public class Model { public TimeSpan Time1 {get; set;} public TimeSpan Time2 { get; set; } public TimeSpan Time3 { get; set; } public TimeSpan Time4 { get; set; } } Now Let's Imagine I have to populate the times during runtime and then Figure out the time remaining between Time 1 and Time 2, then when that passes Find the time remaining between Time2 and Time3 and so on. However, I need to take into account what the time is right now. For Example: Now it is 1:00 PM Time1=5:00 AM Time 2 = 12:00 PM Time 3= 4:00 PM Time 4 = 6:00 PM So since the time is 1:00PM, I need to find the difference between Time 2 and Time 3 Now is there a smarter way other than reflection to determine this? Should i add something in my class

  • moqing static method call to c# library class

    - by Joe
This seems like an easy enough issue but I can't seem to find the keywords to effect my searches. I'm trying to unit test by mocking out all objects within this method call. I am able to do so to all of my own creations except for this one: public void MyFunc(MyVarClass myVar) { Image picture; ... picture = Image.FromStream(new MemoryStream(myVar.ImageStream)); ... } FromStream is a static call from the Image class (part of c#). So how can I refactor my code to mock this out because I really don't want to provide a image stream to the unit test.

  • Can i override an abstract method written in a parent class, with a different name in a child class?

    - by Ranhiru
abstract class SettingSaver { public abstract void add(string Name, string Value); public abstract void remove(string SettingName); } class XMLSettings : SettingSaver { public override void add(string Name, string Value) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } public override void remove(string SettingName) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } } Is there anyway that I can change the name of the add function in XMLSettings class to addSetting but make sure it overrides the add function in the SettingSaver? I know it should be definitely overridden in derived classes but just want to know whether I can use a different name :) Thanx in advance :D

  • Grails GORM on multiple Forms

    - by Fabien Barbier
Usually I'm using One-to-many relationship by this way : class Subject { static hasMany = [ crfs : Crf ] String name ... } class Crf { String title String info ... } I can extend this relationship to others domains, Ex : static hasMany = [ crfs : Crf, crfb : CrfBlood ...] But in my case I have to link the Subject domain to 30 others domains, maybe more...(ex : CrfBlood, CrfMedical, crfFamily, etc...). What domain model implementation should I use in my case ? I would like to keep the dynamic finders usability in my project.

  • Replacing a class with Mono.Cecil

    - by icktoofay
Say I have assembly A. It was modified with Mono.Cecil a little bit. Now say I have assembly B. It has a class named SomeClass. Assembly A also has a class named SomeClass. Now I want to replace SomeClass from assembly A with the one in assembly B. I tried a few things, but I know that for one of my attempts, it actually remapped a method call like this: Console.WriteLine("Test."); ...into this: int.WriteLine("Test."); That can't be right. What is the correct way to replace a class with Mono.Cecil?

  • C#: What would you name an IEnumerable class?

    - by Svish
When reading this question I started to wonder a bit. Say you have these two: class ProductCollection : ICollection<Product> class ProductList : IList<Product> What would you call one that were an IEnumerable<Product>? class Product--- : IEnumerable<Product> Before I read that other question I might have called it a ProductCollection actually, but taking the new info into account, that would have been a bit misleading since it does not implement ICollection<Product>. Could you call it Products? var products = new Products(); // products is/are products Almost works but sounds a bit strange... What would you call it?

  • NSThread running a class

    - by Thomas Joulin
Hi, Every the example I find on the internet (including Apple doc) sets the target to self like this : [NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(threadedTask) toTarget:self withObject:nil]; Since i would like to do a more complex task in background (involving multiple methods), I thought of creating a class Task called like this : Task *task = [[Task alloc] init]; [NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(main) toTarget:task withObject:nil]; but I wonder, how will be handled the instance variables of my class Task ? in my method main can I safely call methods of my class Task using [self myMethod] and modifying members variables assuming I'm the only thread accessing it ? This way of handling threads seems weird to me, sorry if my question is stupid ^^ Thanks in advance

  • Linker, Libraries & Directories Information

    - by m00st
I've finished both my C++ 1/2 classes and we did not cover anything on Linking to libraries or adding additional libraries to C++ code. I've been having a hay-day trying to figure this out; I've been unable to find basic information linking to objects. Initially I thought the problem was the IDE (Netbeans; and Code::Blocks). However I've been unable to get wxWidgets and GTKMM setup. Can someone point me in the right direction on the terminology and basic information about #including files and linking files in a Cpp application? Basically I want/need to know everything in regards to this process. The difference between .dll, .lib, .o, .lib.a, .dll.a. The difference between a .h and a "library" (.dll, .lib correct?) I understand I need to read the compiler documentation I am using; however all compilers (that I know of) use linker and headers; I need to learn this information. Please point me in the right direction! :] So far on my quest I've found out: Linker links libraries already compiled to your project. .a files are static libraries (.lib in windows) .dll in windows is a shared library (.so in *nix) Thanks

  • nhibernate webforms with class library

    - by frosty
very new to nhibernate. I'm a little confused on where features should live. I have the following solution 1) MyProject.Web ( web forms application) 2) MyProject.Domain( class lib) - nhibernate.config - product.hbm.xml So is it correct I should put the following method in a IHttpModule? ( i can't use a global asax as it's use by the CMS i'm running ) Where should the connectionString live? HTTPModule in web forms application private static ISessionFactory CreateSessionFactory() { var cfg = new Configuration().Configure(Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "nhibernate.config")); cfg.SetProperty(NHibernate.Cfg.Environment.ConnectionStringName, System.Environment.MachineName); NHibernateProfiler.Initialize(); return cfg.BuildSessionFactory(); } nhibernate.config <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> NHibernate.Dialect.MsSql2005Dialect NHibernate.Connection.DriverConnectionProvider NHibernate.Driver.SqlClientDriver 16 web NHibernate.ByteCode.Castle.ProxyFactoryFactory, NHibernate.ByteCode.Castle enter code here

  • dynamic behavior of factory class

    - by manu1001
I have a factory class that serves out a bunch of properties. Now, the properties might come either from a database or from a properties file. This is what I've come up with. public class Factory { private static final INSTANCE = new Factory(source); private Factory(DbSource source) { // read from db, save properties } private Factory(FileSource source) { // read from file, save properties } // getInstance() and getProperties() here } What's a clean way of switching between these behaviors based on the environment. I want to avoid having to recompile the class each time.

  • Where to put constant strings in C++: static class members or anonymous namespaces

    - by stone
I need to define some constant strings that will be used only by one class. It looks like I have three options: Embed the strings directly into locations where they are used. Define them as private static constant members of the class: //A.h class A { private: static const std::string f1; static const std::string f2; static const std::string f3; }; //A.cpp const std::string f1 = "filename1"; const std::string f2 = "filename2"; const std::string f3 = "filename3"; //strings are used in this file Define them in an anonymous namespace in the cpp file: //A.cpp namespace { const std::string f1 = "filename1"; const std::string f2 = "filename2"; const std::string f3 = "filename3"; } //strings are used in this file Given these options, which one would you recommend and why? Thanks.

  • Ninject: Abstract Class

    - by Pickels
Hello, Do I need to do something different in an abstract class to get dependency injection working with Ninject? I have a base controller with the following code: public abstract class BaseController : Controller { public IAccountRepository AccountRepository { get; set; } } My module looks like this: public class WebDependencyModule : NinjectModule { public override void Load() { Bind<IAccountRepository>().To<AccountRepository>(); } } And this is my Global.asax: protected override void OnApplicationStarted() { Kernel.Load(new WebDependencyModule()); } protected override IKernel CreateKernel() { return new StandardKernel(); } It works when I decorate the IAccountRepository property with the [Inject] attribute. Thanks in advance.

  • How to link pnglite library in c?

    - by zaplec
Hi, I installed from kubuntu's package management this handy pnglite library. It contains just one header file "pnglite.h" and one object file "pnglite.o". I have found out where those files are, but I don't know how to link them. I'm using netbeans, but don't know how to link them in there. Also I don't understand how to link them at console. I have a little test program that I would like to test, but I get the error message "undefined reference to function: XXXXXXX". Both netbeans and at console I'm using gcc. That header file is in /usr/include directory, object file is in /usr/lib directory and my test program is under my programming directory at my home directory. Should I put that header and object into the same directory as where my source is? Or is there a way to link them from their current locations? I know that it should be possible to link them from where they are at the moment and I would like to know and understand how to do that. Any help will be appreciated :)

  • Reading a file with a supplied name in C++

    - by Cosmina
I must read a file with a given name (it's caled "hamlet.txt"). The class used to read the file is defined like this #ifndef READWORDS_H #define READWORDS_H /** * ReadWords class. Provides mechanisms to read a text file, and return * capitalized words from that file. */ using namespace std; #include <string> #include <fstream> class ReadWords { public: /** * Constructor. Opens the file with the default name "text.txt". * Program exits with an error message if the file does not exist. */ ReadWords(); /** * Constructor. Opens the file with the given filename. * Program exits with an error message if the file does not exist. * @param filename - a C string naming the file to read. */ ReadWords(char *filename); My definition of the members of the classis this: #include<string> #include<fstream> #include<iostream> #include "ReadWords.h" using namespace std; ReadWords::ReadWords() { wordfile.open("text.txt"); if( !wordfile ) { cout<<"Errors while opening the file!"<<endl; } } ReadWords::ReadWords(char *filename) { wordfile.open(filename); if ( !wordfile ) { cout<<"Errors while opening the file!"<<endl; } wordfile>>nextword; } And the main to test it. using namespace std; #include #include #include "ReadWords.h" int main() { char name[30]; cout<<"Please input a name for the file that you wish to open"; cin>>name; ReadWords x( name[] ); } When I complie it gives me the error: main.cpp:14: error: expected primary-expression before ']' token I know it's got something to do with the function ReadWords( char *filename), but I do not know what. Any help please?

  • AS3: Adding get/set methods to a class via prototype

    - by LiraNuna
I'm looking for a way to extend a class via prototype by adding a get and set functions. The following code will add a function to the class' prototype: MyClass.prototype.newMethod = function(... args) { }; However I want to add both a get and set functions. I tried: MyClass.prototype.fakeProperty = get function(... args) { }; MyClass.prototype.fakeProperty = set function(... args) { }; But that seem to throw compile errors. Is this even possible? Is there some 'internal' naming convention for get/set functions? I am not looking for answers such as 'create a new class and new get/set functions there'.

  • Java: How do you access a sub-object of an object with no "getXXX" method to that sub-object

    - by Daxon
I'll explain with pictures from Eclipse Debugger I have an Class called "FieldContext", (I can't edit it, it's compiled in the Java OVal API) Within "FieldContext" on the eclipse variable tab are "CompileTimeType" and "field" Q1 Is there a legend for the icons in the variables tab? like what the red box with the "F" means + yellow diamond boxes? Now I want to access the fields inside the "field" object (RedBox) .. preferably "name" But the "FieldContext" does not have a "getField()" method, yet it has a "getCompileTimeType()" method. Q2 So is there anyway to get that field object being a "SerializableField" Class from the "FieldContext"? If eclipse debugger can see/get/edit them then I hope I can do the same in Java.
