  • How can I find the size of Flash and RAM used by a firmware?

    Hi Fellas, Please help me in finding the size of Flash (ROM) and RAM used by the firmware. The firmware is implemented using C++. Also I have Keil microvision4, will it be helpful to find the ROM and RAM size? Or do I need to look at the MAP(.M51) file of the firmware to find the memory sizes? Or is just looking at the size of hex files (.hex) enough for locating the size of ROM? Please suggest!

    I've an access database table with 3 fields : Purchase date Warranty time Warranty expiry Warranty time has 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in it which corresponds to years. How can I auto-populate the 'Warranty expiry' field (which is a date field) by looking at the 'Purchase date' and then adding on the 'Warranty time' (warranty time will be 1 = 365 days, 2 = 730 days, etc)?

    I'm looking for a proper C# immutable dictionary, with fast update methods (that create a partial copy of the dictionary with slight changes). I've implemented one myself, using zippers to update a red-black tree, but it's not particularly fast. By 'immutable dictionary' I don't just mean readonly or const. I want something that has reasonably fast 'With' and 'Without', or equivalent, methods that return a thing with slight modifications without modifying the original. An example from another language is map in Scala

  • Twitter Bootstrap Navbar blocking svg viewBox

    I have a navbar fixed to the bottom and I have page that has a title and a giant svg (created by d3.js). I would like the svg to take up the entire screen (whatever is left over), but it always seems to have some part appear behind the bottom nav bar. I've tried: 1) using viewBox to auto-resize, setting the parent div and the svg to be block elements 2) adding padding-bottom to the body element But the svg still appears behind the navbar on wide screen monitors.

    So here's my scenario: I have two projects projectA and projectB. A branchspec auto-integrates projectA to projectB. Now, I have a changelist which modifies some files in projectA -- I have not committed/submitted this changelist yet. I'd like this changelist to go into projectB only. Doing a p4 integrate -b branchspec -c changelistNumber shows "All revision(s) are integrated." How can I integrate an uncommitted changelist?

    I know C and C++ and I have some experience with Java, but I don't know too much about Algorithms and Data Structures. I did a search on Amazon, but I don't know what book should I choose. I don't want a book which put its basis only on the theoretic part; I want the practical part too (probably more than the theoretical one :) ). I don't want the code to be implemented in a certain language, but if is in Java, probably I would happier. :)

I've already implemented the textview keyboard notification but the problem is that when inputting in the textview it still behind the keyboard (the text is not visible).     Hello! In my Ubuntu 10.10, following this tutorial, I don't face step 2. I mean, while installing the packets, I don't face anything related to configuration. Then, when I run a command, such a mysql -u root -p , I get this error: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) As I see in other treads, ps aux | grep mysqld gives me just this output: 1000 4508 0.0 0.0 5172 760 pts/0 S+ 19:53 0:00 grep --color=auto mysqld What is happening??     The signature of the hashCode() method is public int hashCode(){ return x; } in this case x must be an int(primitive) but plz can anyone explain it to me that the number which the hashCode() returns must be a prime number, even number...etc or there is no specification ? the reason behind i am asking this question is i have seen it in different ids the auto generated code always returns a prime number, so i need to know why? thanks in advance

    I am using Hpricot to parse a theme file. I have noticed, however, that if I feed a valid HTML5 document into Hpricot(), it auto-closes HTML5 tags (like <section>), and messes with the DOCTYPE. Are there any extensions to Hpricot, or perhaps a flag I need to set, that will allow HTML5 documents to be parsed correctly?
