  • Css div with header and footer and dynamic content height

    I want to construct a div that has a header with background like that some content with a background of one pixel repeated at y(or not?) and a footer with background like that resulting in something like that with some text in the div content I want to have the same result with 5 lines or 50 lines of text. In my mind there is an html snippet like <div id="header"></div> <div id="content">Text goes here</div> <div id="footer"></div> but i can't think of the css or jquery code or anything that goes with that.     I have a meta class MyClass which adds an attribute to a class based on some of the properties of the class's methods. When I subclass MyClass I want it to still have that attribute, and append to the attribute's value based on the sub-class's methods (ie, sub-classing extends the same attribute that the base's meta creates.). Can this be done via the bases argument passed to __new__(cls, name, bases, dct)?

  • How do I REALLY get started programming in Ruby on Rails

I know that I can enter things line-by-line in Terminal (I'm on a Mac), but I'd like to figure out how to start using something like Xdrive (Apple won't allow me to download Xrive because I have OS X 10.5, not 10.6).     it's a task, on which i think during whole day. i have four integer numbers a, b, c, d, and ineger x[1,40]. i must write a program, which can find the values of {a,b,c,d}, for which one of following equations is true for any (x<=40, x=1) x=a or x=b or x=a+b or x=a+b+c+d or x+a=c+d or x+a+b=c+d or ... x+a+b+c=d or ... it is very difficult to explain what i want to say. maybe the example will be helpful. example: if x=17, by {a=1,b=2,c=5,d=15} i can write x+a+b=c+d whole question is to present any x[1,40] by {a,b,c,d}. hope that you understand what i want to say, and thanks in advance

  • Setting tabindex in dynamic table vertically then horizontally

    I have a page that is currently generating dynamically created textboxes in a table format. The users are requesting that the tab order be changed from horizontal-vertical to vertical-horizontal. I know that you can use the tabindex attribute to control the tab ordering, but I can't for the life of me figure out the right way to get the sequential number properly for the textboxes. I guess this is more of a math question than anything else! FYI, the textboxes are made while looping two different collections. First collection looped to make the rows, for each row, second collection (which is a property of the first collection objects) is looped to create the columns. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     I'm not sure if this is possible, is there a way to get the <mx:Form> to set its own height based on the position of an element within it? I tried using Alert.show to show these values and turned out submitBtn.y = 0 and submitBtn.height = 21. height sounds reasonable, but I know the submitBtn.y can't be 0 since it's below several other Is it possible to set the form height dynamically?

    Hi Everyone, I am looking into the best way of doing the following: I have a model called Kase, and when a user creates a new case then are taken to the show view as you would expect. I am trying to work out what the best way of sending an automated email between those two events is. I would need to include in the email the content of a couple of the fields, ideally I am looking for a way of just typing out the email and adding the same snippets that are in the show view for each of the fields I need. I am using the Base App from Github so the email sending is already setup for the user authentication and registration, but I'm not sure where to begin. The reason I want to send the email is to create a new Case in our Highrise account, and I don't have a clue how to use the API. So I think the email sending is the easier way. Thanks, Danny

    I understand this is a subjective question and very likely could be closed, and although there is no right or wrong answer I do believe its a legitimate question. At what point do you no longer consider someone a beginner (ie knowledge of loops, encapsulation, instantiation), an intermediate (design patterns, reflection, delegates, interfaces) or an expert (architecture, multi-threadding). My rational for asking such a question is two-fold, first, when do I stop labeling my questions as beginner and during a job interview how should I categorize myself?

How packet is packed to tcp segment, then ip packet. How it is transmitted to network card? (with series of I/O regs write and DMA?) Is it transmitted to network card in the "write" syscall handler (with some deep callstack) or is it transmitted at some other moment?

  • How to add dimensions to dynamic img elements (Updated)

    I use a Json call to get a list of image addresses, then I add them individually to a div like this. Unfortunately the image dimension is not part of the Json information. <div id="container"> <img src="A.jpg" alt="" /> <img src="B.jpg" alt="" /> ... </div> Do any of you JQuery geniuses know of a code that would flawlessly and dynamically add the true Width and Height to each img element in the container as soon as each individual one is rendered? I was thinking maybe the code could do a image width check width > 0 to evaluate when the image has actually been rendered, then fire. But I wouldn't know how to go about that and make it work stably. How is the best way of going about this? Thank you so much! Update, As the answers point out, adding Width or Height to the elements is pretty routine. The problem here is actually writing a code that would know when to do that. And evaluate that condition for each image not the page as a whole.

    I am in the process of porting a simple CSS grid system to GWT. My CSS file currently has classes like .size1, .size2 etc., and I have a CSS resource that looks like - class MyResource extends CSSResource { @ClassName("size1") String size1(); @ClassName("size2") String size2(); // And so on } However what I really want, is to have a single function like the following - String size(int size); which will generate the appropriate class when passed the size as an integer at runtime. This is needed as I perform some calculations to determine the actual space available/needed for a widget in javascript and then attach the appropriate class name. Is this something that is even possible with GWT?
