  • Creating a Drop-Down Menu with Javascript

    Question about logics here: What's the most elegant way to make the menu appear/disappear onmouseover/onmouseout? See the following JsBin: http://jsbin.com/owayeb/edit#source The Menu is hidden by default. If the user moves his cursor above the Link the showme() function gets called. When the user moves his cursor away the hideme() functions gets called. How would I get the Menu to persist while the user moves his mouse away from the Link to above the Menu? Or is this all the wrong school of thought?

  • Latency on mobile networks (Android)

    I am planning to give mobile phone development a shot and was thinking about making some simple multiplayer games. I know latency over local wifi is probably fine but what are the issues with latency over GPRS/3G? I've searched and the best I've seen is someone saying it was 'high', without presenting any concrete numbers. I suppose latency fluctuations are important as well - does anyone have any info on this?

  • PHP radio button check if null

    So in class we get this school task where we need to check if one of the fields in unfilled and display an error. No we did this but for some strange reason it doesnt display a error when a radio button is unchecked. (textfield null check works fine) I've tried with a friend many possabilities but they all doesnt seem to work. We have been stuck at this task for 2 hours. Now we have tried making seperate if's but that doesnt seem to work too.     I wasted plenty of hours trying to figure out the problem but no luck. Tried asking the TA at my school, but he was useless. I am a beginner and I know there are a lot of mistakes in it, so it would be great if I can get some detail explanation as well. Anyways, basically what I am trying to do with the following function is: Use while loop to check and see if random_string is in TEXT, if not return NoneType if yes, then use a for loop to read lines from that TEXT and put it in list, l1. then, write an if statement to see if random_string is in l1. if it is, then do some calculations. else read the next line Finally, return the calculations as a whole.   • Android hdpi resource load problem

    good day we are developing game for android and have some trouble with resource loading on high dpi devices. our resources are located in res/drawable directory on a standart dpi device the game work properly, but on hdpi (tested on HTC Desire) all resources which located in res/drawable-hdpi load are loaded correctly, but the resources which miss in drawable-hdpi directory but present in res/drawable are ignored but everything works fine on the virtual device with hdpi. does anybody encounter this problem and know how to solve it?

    How can I do this cleanly without gotos? loop: if(condition1){ something(); } else if (condition2) { somethingDifferent(); } else { mostOfTheWork(); goto loop; } I'd prefer not to use breaks as well. Furthermore, it is expected to loop several (adv 40) times before doing something else, so the mostOfTheWork part would most likely be as high up as possible, even if just for readability.     I have been using Grails for some time now, but in school they are making us use Ruby on Rails. I have been trying to find an extension for ruby on rails for STS as there is for Grails, but I have failed. The only thing that comes close is a plugin so i can use ruby code in my Grails app using JRuby. I just want to make sure that a fully integrated extension DOESN'T exist. If that is the case, what would be the graphical IDE way of developing in ruby on rails, the same way one would use STS for Groovy on Grails development? (preferably free :) )

    Good Morning - it is school assignment, I am not asking for any source code (if you can provide any pesudo code it would be awesome). Here is the problem :( I have to create a term frequency table. It is not pure TF, I just need to count the words and write down. I know basic steps to do it 1 - extract all terms (I can do it with file reader) 2 - remove repeating terms (I can do it with TreeMap) The output of 2nd step would be Niga, ponga, dinga, bitlo, etc. 3 - Now I have to see if there is any word in current file from above terms or not, if yes then I will count. Now this is my problem, I stucked on step 3 :( I have some idea how to count words with TreeMap (treemap.containskey etc.) but it would be global count not local count for each file :( Any pseudo code?

    hi, I have a sequence of couples of elements. (.div1, .div2) I'm using position:relative attribute on .div2 to move it a bit on top and right with respect to div1. However .div1 elements have different content and heights, so the relative positioning of .div2 is not consistent (they sometimes are too high, sometimes too low). .div2 { position:relative; left:200px; top:-300; } thanks

  • phonegap crash on "resume"

    My phonegap application works great but there is a glitch when it is sent to the background or "paused". When focused is returned to the app a high percentage of the time the interface is frozen and then the application crashes a few seconds later. When relaunched it is working fine again.     Right now I'v created a polygon, then I do the same thing but with line_loop to draw the outline. My issue right now is if I set the line thickness to high, the lines arn't connected. Their ends would need to be (linewidth) longer... is there a way to fix this? Thanks

How can I get the coordinates of screen where the specific link appears in search results so I can do a click on it. The component where the page loads will have javascript enabled so just parsing the html is not enought.
