  My IM stores the logs according to the contact name. I have created a file with the list of active contacts. My problem is following: I would like to create a bash script with read the active contacts names from the file and compare it with the directories. If the directory name wouldn't be found on the list, it would be moved to another directory (let's call it "archive"). I try to visualise it for you. content of the list: contact1 contact2 content of the dir contact1 contact2 contact3 contact4 after running of the script, the content fo the dir: contact1 contact2 contact3 == ../archive contact4 == ../archive

• how i can send date from site to other sites

  Hi, Im not much of a php coder, mainly use VB. But i had a problem with one of my apps. To make it more secure i would need each php parameter to go through one site. Here is an example of what i mean: Application loads sends ip and location to 2 servers (a.php & b.php) the problem so far is that the pc is making direct connections to these pages. What i was trying to do is make it so that it only sends one command to z.php and the page z.php would send the data to a.php and b.php. My question is how would i set up z.php? I hope i make sense, i have looked everywhere and couldnt find an answer.

• how to get a product's image in magento?

  im running on version 1.3.2.1 but on my client's server they had magento 1.3.0 so my previous code to display images for my local copy: echo $this->helper('catalog/image')->init($_product)->resize(163, 100); does not work on the client's installation looking at the results returned by their magento, ver 1.3.0 actually returns a url although it points to the skin's media folder is there a way to get the absolute image path for the image? or should i make changes somewhere else that would tell magento that the media directory should be on the root?

• How do i force a file to be deleted? Windows server 2008

  On my site a user may upload a file (pic, zip, audio, video, whatever). He then may decide to replace it with a newer revision. This user may upload a file, make a post then decide to put up a new revision replacing the old (lets say its a large zip or tar.gz file). Theres a good chance people may be downloading it if he sent out an email or even im for the home user. Problem. I need to replace the file and people may be downloading and it may be some minutes before it is deleted. I dont want my code to stall until i cant delete or check every second to see if its unused (especially bad if another user can start and he takes long creating a cycle). How do i delete the file while users are downloading the file? i dont care if they stop i just care that the file can be replaced and new downloads are the new revision.

• Javascript How do I force a string + variable to be evaluated as a variable

  Im not even sure how to word this and is probably why I am having trouble finding an answer in google. When the code is run currentCardRow will equal 1 therefore it should be cardSelected1 which is what is shown in the console.log. I need it to go a step further because cardSelected1 is a variable and I need it to evaluate show in the console log as Invitation. Invitation is an example of a variable for cardSelected1. I am not sure on what the correct syntax is to make this happen. var currentCardSelected = "cardSelected" + currentCardRow; Thanks for your help!

• C++ DWORD* to BYTE*

  My issue, i am trying to convert and array of dynamic memory of type DWORD to a BYTE. Fair enough i can for loop through this and convert the DWORD into a BYTE per entry. But is their a faster way to do this? to take a pointer to DWORD data and convert the whole piece of data into a pointer to BYTE data? such as using a memcpy operation? I feel this is not possible, im not requesting an answer just an experienced opinion on my approach, as i have tried testing both approaches but seem to fail getting to a solution on my second solution. Thanks for any input, again no answers just a point in the right direction. Nor is this a homework question, i felt that had to be mentioned.

  This is a great regular expression for dates... However it hangs indefinitely on this one page I tried... I don't understand why it is hanging when it doesn't on other pages... Why is my regexp hanging and/or how could I clean it up to make it better/efficient ? • One code on dev server, and production server - how to deal with links?

  I have a copy of a code running ont he prod server, and I sue my local machine(s) running xampp as a dev server. I have several websites that I actively develop, so Im forced to use http://localhost/sitename All my URLs are relative to the domain, (/file.php). They work fine on the prod server, but on a local server, they all point to localhost, when I want to make them all work relative to the site folder they are in. Is there anything I could do, other than what I do now, which is this: if($_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] == "localhost") { $path_to = "http://" . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . "/folder"; $path_to_files = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . I'm loading another C++ dll using hInst = LoadLibrary(TEXT("mydll.dll")); and I came to realize that this looks for the dll I'm trying to load in 'C:\' or in 'system32'. Can someone show me how to load the dll from the current directory (without knowing what the current directory is ahead of time) ?? I know I should be using something like GetFullPathName but I'm having a little trouble getting it to work on my own...

• Wordpress meta data is written on top of page instead of the loop

  i'm building a wordpress webpage based on the Skeleton Wordpress theme. I have 2 posts showing on a page and each of these posts have custom fields values (meta data). Im using the shortcode from the skeleton theme to get a post-feed from a specific category and in that loop i have inserted this tag that displays the custom fields data <?php the_meta(); ?> I am getting the data - but the problem is, the data is shown on TOP of the page instead of inside the in the post. What could've ive possibly done wrong? or is it something with skeleton i am doing wrong? I learned programming with Java and now I'm developing in Java for more or less 5 years (at the university) and I thinks my programming skills their are really ok/average. I have also small experience in C/C++ and C#. Now I have some spare time and I'd like to learn a new language or deepen the knowledge of Java/C/C++. But how to choose the right language to learn? I'd like to learn a language which will be usefull in the future concerning working in a software development business? I know there is no single answer, but I'm sure you could mention some languages that are more usefull than others.

  hi i got some problem i got this 3 line statement: Dim infoID As Integer = objCommand1.ExecuteScalar() Dim strSQL2 As String = "insert into feedBackHotel (infoID, feedBackView) values(" + infoID + ",'" + FeedBack + "')" Dim objCommand2 As New SqlCommand(strSQL2, conn) objCommand2.ExecuteNonQuery() the problem here is..the strSQL2 can capture the infoID from previous statement, but it didnt insert into the database. it will pop out this error "Conversion from string "insert into feedBackHotel (infoI" to type 'Double' is not valid." in both table related, use same data type (int) but for the feedBackHotel's infoID i allow it to be null..bcoz if i make it not null, it will show another error.. im using vb.net ..can anyone help?

  hi i tried to invoke another activity from my main acitivty which is located in a jar file. Class clazz = Class.forName(getPackageName() + "." + getActivityName()); startActivity(new Intent(this, clazz)); Im doing it this way because i only know the name of the class. This works fine but unfortunately, all resource files can't be found while loading the activity from the jar file. at the first occurence of loading a res file there is a ResourceNotFoundException: 04-30 11:18:46.944: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(1749): Caused by: android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Resource ID #0x7f040006 any hints for that? thanks!

• Why does Microsoft's IE even exists?

  For real what is the point? Why can't it display pages properly like Chrome, safari or Firefox? If you want to make a web application (modern 2.0 site) that supports IE you will end up almost doubling your coding time as IE has its own interpretation of things. PLUS they just keep on changing how it renders pages from version to version (5,6,7,8) unbelievable. Microsoft hates web designers. i used to handle rendering problems with extra JS scripts and CSS files but i had enoughs of this $hit all over my pages: <!--[if IE]> .... <!--[if IE 8]> .... <!--[if IE 7]> .... <!--[if IE 6]> .... No more IE support for any of my projects, So you guys think im exaggerating or IE is really a pain in the @@$?

  In SQL server 2008 I have some huge tables (200-300+ cols). Every day we run a batch job generating a new table with timestamp appended to the name of the table. The the tables have no PK. I would like a generic way to compare 2 rows from two tables. Showing which cols having different values is sufficient, but showing the values would be perfect. Thanks a lot Thanks for the answers. • How exactly do you use json_decode to pass a javascript array to php?

  This is how I got my php array to javascript echo 'var daysofweek = '.json_encode($daysofweek).';'; Now I am aware that json_decode can do the opposite, however the problem is I don't know the syntax to do so. I tried: <script> var array_days = new Array(); array_days[] = "psdfo"; array_days[] = "bsdf"; <?php $array_days = json_decode(?>array_days<?php);?> </script> yes im clueless. I forgot to mention that I want to send an array through post, having all my information regarding all the form values dynamically created by javascript. Otherwise, I wouldn't know which name="" to look for as it will be decided by the user. Unless someone else has an alternative solution...
