I wrote a simple python program to do the trick with graphviz, but it gives me segmentation fault and I don't know why, if the graph is too big or if i'm missing something.   Hi, I am producing some latex beamer slides (but I think it is not a beamer specific question per se). I have the following: \begin{itemize} \item Issue1 \item Issue2 \item Issue3 \end{itemize} now I want to have a right curly brace (i.e. '}') behind the items spreading over issue1 and issue2. And of course I want to write something behind that curly brace I a perfect world I would write something like: \begin{itemize} \left . \item Issue1 \item Issue2 \right \\} One and Two are cool \item Issue3 \end{itemize} This does not work because I am not in a math environment and I can not put the whole snippet inside a math environment because itemize would not work in that case.   Hi, I am working with SSRS2005. I have requirement to display total in the footer. We have to display the total of each category. What I used to do is, write expression for all category names and hide those totals that are not having any value in the current selection. Mango Count = sum(iif(fields!Category.Value = “Mango”,0,1)) Apple Count = sum(iif(fields!Category.Value = “Apple”,0,1)) However, in the new requirement, I don’t have the knowledge of categories.   Hi, I am trying to write a Ruby script in one file. I would like to know if it is possible to write the "main" function in the beginning, having the other functions that are used by main, defined after it. In other words, I would like to call a not yet defined function, so that they do not depends on definition order. Just changing the order is not possible because it gives an "undefined method" error. In C/C++ we use forward declarations... is there something similar in Ruby or another solution to this?

  I have the following aggregate functions (AGG FUNCs): foo(), foobar(), fredstats(), barneystats(). I want to know if I can use multiple AGG FUNCs in an algebraic expression. This may seem a strange/simplistic question for seasoned SQL developers - however, the but the reason I ask is that so far, all AGG FUNCs examples I have seen are of the simplistic variety e.g. max(salary) < 100, rather than using the AGG FUNCs in an expression which involves using multiple AGG FUNCs in an expression (like agg_func1() agg_func2()). The information below should help clarify further. Given tables with the following schemas: CREATE TABLE item (id int, length float, weight float); CREATE TABLE item_info (item_id, name varchar(32)); # Is it legal (ANSI) SQL to write queries of this format ?   I want the DocBook documents in my SVN repository to look nice if someone looks at them in a web browser. I've started to write a CSS stylesheet, but I think that it will have significant limitations -- particularly ones regarding hyperlinks. There is a large body of DocBook XSL stylesheets at the DocBook site , but they don't seem to be appropriate for browser rendering. I don't want to generate static documents and put them into SVN. I want them to be basically readable for other developers without much hassle. I could write my own browser-appropriate XSL stylesheet to convert DocBook to HTML, but it seems like someone else must have already done this. I just don't know where to find it.

  I have FK and PK all over my db and table data needs to be specified in a certain order or else I get FK/PK insertion errors. I'm tired of executing the wizard again and again to transfer data one table at a time. In the SQL Server export data wizard there is an option to "Write a query to specify the data to transfer". I'd like to write the query myself and specify the correct order. Will this solve my problem? How do I do this? Can you provide a sample query (or link to one) The databases are on two different servers - SQL Server 2008 on each ; The database names & permissions are the same ; each table name & col is the same ; I need Identity Insert for each table.

The thing is that I want to use the XML library to read in an XML file and convert it into an output format readable by the user. Let's suppose that you want to design apps that: need to deliver some performance like archivers, cryptographic algorithms, codecs make use of some system calls have a gui and you want to learn an Api that will enable you to write apps like those described earlier and: is mainstream is future proof entitles you to find a decent job is easy enough - I mean easy like VCL, not easy like winapi So, making these assumptions, what Api will you choose? MFC, WPF, other? I really like VCL and QT, but they're not mainstream and I think few employers will want you to write apps in QT or Visual C++ Builder... Thanks for answers.

  Hi, I have a byte array of around 10,000 bytes which is basically a blob from delphi that contains char, string, double and arrays of various types. This need to be read in and updated via C#. I've created a very basic reader that gets the byte array from the db and converts the bytes to the relevant object type when accessing the property which works fine. My problem is when I try to write to a specific char[] item, it doesn't seem to update the byte array. I know a possible solution is to use a private variable called _usercaplas that I set and update as needed however as the byte array is nearly 10,000 bytes in length the class is already long and I would like a simpler approach as to reduce the overall code length and complexity.   Hi guys, I've bound a datagridview to a collection of objects. It's giving me a null reference exception when I try to add a new row to a collection (empty or otherwise) using the gui. More specifically, when there is a write event it does this. How can I override the behavior of the write event and manually add all of the columns contents to the object collection? I could disable the add new row feature and make an add button, but the built in datagridview row add looks so much more slick.

  I wrote my simple desktop program in C#. I am reluctant to distribute it on the internet because i am not sure if users will go through pain of installing the .Net Framework. My target users are non-tech savvy users. I am very familiar with MFC and I probably can write this program in MFC in a month. MFC is nice because I don't have to worry about distributing other components. It will be one nice single executable. So my real question is this: Is it possible to write .Net app without worrying about distributing .Net Framework?   Hey Everyone, This maybe a very mundane question, but this is the first jQuery plugin that I write and I'm a bit fuzzy on understanding the scope rules in Javascript. I'm trying to write an simple jQuery plugin that wraps around the Stack Overflow API. I'm starting off by trying to work with the Flair API. I wanted to make the plugin as configurable as possible so that you can easily pass it the domain and user id, and generate multiple Flairs. var superUser = $.jStackOverflow.flair({domain:"superuser.com", id: 30162, parentId:'#su-flair'}); var stackOverflow = $.jStackOverflow.flair({domain:"stackoverflow.com", id: 55954, parentId:'#so-flair'}); The problem is, when it makes the second call, its somehow using the correct domain and id parameters, but the parentId field that it's using in the callback function to create the html, is using the first parameter.
