• Share buttons vs sharer urls

  As some people might know, adding share buttons from Facebook and Twitter can cause a page to slow down. I've seen many sites pass on the common iframe implementations that these sites offer and simply create icons that link to a sharer url for better control of page performance. http://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F&t=CNN%26s+website%27 However, I've also read that Facebook is dropping support for these links. For example, this link now redirects to the Like Button. http://www.facebook.com/facebook-widgets/share.php Here is an article noting that Facebook is deprecating/has deprecated it's share functionality and is sticking with the Like button. http://www.barbariangroup.com/posts/7544-the_facebook_share_button_has_been_deprecated_called_it I'm assuming this is the same for the sharing url. If the sharer url is no longer a reliable option, what other methods are there besides using 3rd party widgets (like Addthis)?

• What options do I have for a Wedding Car website? [on hold]

  I currently run a Wedding Car website that is ranking in the top 5 for my local area, its not doing so well outside of that. I have listed the company in Google Business so it shows in the SERP and I have a Facebook and Twitter account linked, that I update regularly. I know keeping content fresh is important but nothing much changes so I am unsure what options I have? Should I create a blog and talk about the cars, weddings etc? I am totally unsure where to go with this website, the site currently has a few images and a small amount of text. Things I am considering, but would like advice on: A Mobile version of the website A Blog on the website A gallery page with pictures and descriptions Asking local companies to link to my website Essentially I have a small business website but not much content, because really there isnt! I am looking for long term organic ways to get a good seo rank.

  Or yet another Twitter grid Yesterday, while I was playing around with this example of our MVC Grid, I thought that the RadGrid for ASP.NET AJAX deserves one too. So instead of tapping in my imagination and creating dummy users (or reusing past information I already used in other demos), I thought I would appeal to the amazing community: Send me an email with the following information. • Environment Award for AgroSense Java Farm Management System

  Beating IBM's energy information system and Evoswitch's modular data central hall, Ordina's AgroSense, a farm management system for precision agriculture, received the prestigious IT Environment Award in the Netherlands yesterday. AgroSense is an agricultural services platform created in Java on the NetBeans Platform. It looks like this: Among other things, the team has been investigating whether and how to integrate JavaFX games into the AgroSense platform, as well as other JavaFX-oriented effects. • SEO: Is promoting your backlinks a good strategy for improving search results for my site's name?

  I run a website that's been around for about three years in the sports space. I am successfully ranking well for targeted keywords, but searching for the name of my site itself returns very poor results - it shows my site, its FB/Twitter, and then 15 pages of unrelated spam that happen to contain two words that, when combined, form my website's name. After that, my backlinks begin to show up spordically. As far as I can tell, I simply don't have enough backlinks and the backlinks I do have are ranked worse than the spam. (Site Explorer lists 200 external links to any page on our domain and 20 external links directly to the front page). To counter this, my strategy is to promote my backlinks so they get a better page rank than the spam. Does that make sense? Am I going in the right direction or should I just focus on getting more backlinks pointing directly to my site? • Tracking logged in vs. non-logged in users in Google Analytics

  I am building a social media site that is similar is structure to twitter and facebook.com where unauthenticated users who go to https://mysite.com will see a login + sign-up page, and authenticated users who go to https://mysite.com will see their timeline. My question is, what is the best practice (using Google Analytics) for tracking these two different types of users who are viewing completely different content but are visiting the same URL. I tried searching the Google Analytics docs but couldn't find what they suggested for this scenario. Perhaps I just don't know what keywords to search for. Thanks in advance for any help.

Training set users have already scores in psychopathy, I need any collaborative filtering techniques to predict scores of test set users. Collaborative Filtering such as Item/User-Based CF, Bayesian Belief Nets, Clustering, Latent Semantic, etc. Please help me. :( I am very confused on how to implement any of these. Thank you!

  This past week the CodePlex team worked on several fixes to improve the stability of our TFS infrastructure, including applying TFS 2012 Update 1. We apologize for the recent downtime. We are not completely out of the woods, but we appreciate your patience as we work through the issues. Additional Bug Fixes: Fixed several issues with character encoding within file paths. Fixed issue where the number of pull requests and forks were disappearing after selecting either link. Fixed issue blocking license changes when special characters exist in copyright holder field.   I'm a Microsoft Stack(ASP.NET, C#) developer. Mainly, I develop server side software, windows services, restful apis etc. My client side interaction is really really low. So aside from C# I want to learn a new language. Time is precious and I want to give my focus to a language which have a future. My language list is: Scala (Powerful usage in Twitter) Go (Getting popular and channels are pretty awesome) Erlang (Stable server side programs. Used at Whatsapp) You can give advice for the above or you can give me a better option. My only exception is Objective-C. I don't want to get in that one. Thanks
