    Hi SO, I have a WinForm that I want to minimize when the "x" in the top right corner is clicked. To accomplish this, I have: private void Form_FormClosing(object sender, FormClosingEventArgs e) { e.Cancel = true; WindowState = FormWindowState.Minimized; } That's all well and good, but now I have a context menu that has the option to close the WinForm, but because of the code above, it simply minimizes the window. How can I get everything to work the way I want it to?

  • When using a mocking framework and MSPEC where do you set your stubs

    I am relatively new to using MSpec and as I write more and more tests it becomes obvious to reduce duplication you often have to use a base class for your setup as per Rob Conery's article I am happy with using the AssertWasCalled method to verify my expectations, but where do you set up a stub's return value, I find it useful to set the context in the base class injecting my dependencies but that (I think) means that I need to set my stubs up in the Because delegate which just feels wrong. Is there a better approach I am missing?

  • org-mode agenda tree view

    In org-mode's daily/weekly agenda view, is there a way to display the full context of the entries? My reading of the code is that it finds the first heading above the timestamp and displays that. However, in my case, that heading is often 3-4 levels deep and doesn't make sense without the bullets above it. It also doesn't seem like there are hooks to easily change that. Filtering is trivial, but not changing the fundamental presentation format.

  • Parsing some particular statements with antlr3 in C target

    Hello all! I have some questions about antlr3 with tree grammar in C target. I have almost done my interpretor (functions, variables, boolean and math expressions ok) and i have kept the most difficult statements for the end (like if, switch, etc.) 1) I would like interpreting a simple loop statement: repeat: ^(REPEAT DIGIT stmt); I've seen many examples but nothing about the tree walker (only a topic here with the macros MARK() / REWIND(m) + @init / @after but not working (i've antlr errors: "unexpected node at offset 0")). How can i interpret this statement in C? 2) Same question with a simple if statement: if: ^(IF condition stmt elseifstmt* elsestmt?); The problem is to skip the statement if the condition is false and test the other elseif/else statements. 3) I have some statements which can stop the script (like "break" or "exit"). How can i interrupt the tree walker and skip the following tokens? 4) When a lexer or parser error is detected, antlr returns an error. But i would like to make my homemade error messages.   • Why have trackballs almost disappeared? [closed]

    One of the movement sensors in my Microsoft Trackball Explorer has failed and right now I am using a mouse. Ugggh! I'll got steal one of the various Logitech trackballs spread around the house, but they all have issues. The Trackman has a horrible placement for the scroll wheel. Others have marbles for the thumb rather than a big ball for the fingers and at least one trackball is working around here without having a scroll wheel at all! (The one at the dinner table, for when I dine alone). My question is, why have trackballs fallen into disfavour? Seems to me that trackballs are great for crowded desktops (you know, the one with keyboards, notes, pens and coffee cups), and for laptops with those hated overly-sensitive touchpads. But right now, it seems to be a choice between that Logitech Trackman and some Kensington models that lack scroll wheels. All I want is a nice big ball to manipulate with the fingers and two buttons on the thumb side with the scroil wheel between them. Placement of other buttons is completely optional. Is that asking too much?

    I assumed that the correct way to preselect a cell in a table view was: - (void)selectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath animated:(BOOL)animated scrollPosition:(UITableViewScrollPosition)scrollPosition However it does absolutely nothing. Nadda. For context I am building an iPad app and the tableview is deployed from a Popover ViewController. So the tableView is only visible when deployed. I am currently calling the above method in: - (void)viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated; Any thoughts? Thanks, Doug

  • Hiding iPhone Status Bar pulls my tableViews up by 20px

    When doing an asynchronous HTTP request, I hide the iPhone status bar and animate in my own custom UIViewController to show upload status. So instead of seeing signal strength, carrier, time and battery life, the user gets messages based on the progress of the HTTP request. My status bar is exactly 20px high, and fits nicely where the status bar used to be. When the HTTP activity is done, the custom view animates out and the iPhone status bar animates back in. I would like to just avoid hiding the iPhone status bar completely, and instead bring my custom view ON TOP of the status bar. Currently, if I invoke my custom view animation and keep the iPhone status bar set to visible, my custom view is behind it.   • Why is /usr/bin/env permission denied to rails server?

    I've just set up rails on an apache server running on Ubuntu, and when I try to go to the root page it gives this error: /usr/bin/env: bash: Permission denied env and all the directories in the path all have permissions 755. I tried setting env to have permissions 777 but still got the same error. Rails is running as "nobody". Why is this happening? I don't know what else to try.     I have multiple models that can be converted to flatpages but have to have some extra information (For example I have an about us page but I also have a blog). However I understand that there must be only one flatpages model since the middleware only returns the flatpages instance and does not resolve the child models. What do I have to do?   • Ungrounded laptop (Macbook Pro) buzzes in headphones, weird feeling when fingers brush lightly

    I've got a nearly 3-year-old MacBook Pro 15" 2.16GHz (MacBookPro2,2). When I have am not using the extended, grounded adapter for the power supply, just using the simple, two-prong plug I can hear a buzzing when I use very sensitive earbuds. This goes away if I touch a metal part of the laptop. Also, I can feel a weird, fuzzy feeling when I brush the metal parts of the laptop lightly with my fingers/skin. Somewhat similar to feeling of a touching hair or a balloon that's charged with static electricity. But I'm not getting sparks or anything. And if I'm touching a metal part of my laptop solidly (not just brushing it) and then I touch someone else's skin I can feel the same effect and so can my victim. I've noticed similar effects with an ungrounded electric blanket. But with that the buzzing can be easily heard without headphones. Is this a defect, normal, or something else? And what exactly is happening?

  • Browsing a Folder

    browser.BrowseObject(PIDLFromPath, NativeMethods.SBSP_ABSOLUTE); It works great in explorer, and for the common dialog. However, when running Office XP, it goes nuts. The view on the screen is refreshed, and shows the contents of the new folder correctly. However, the Combo Box up the top of the dialog still references the original IShellFolder object where the Context menu was initiated. How should I change this IShellFiolder object in the Combo Box?
