    I'm trying to draw text on NSView subclass. I'm using an NSTextStorage, an NSLayoutManager, and an NSTextContainer. I followed Apple's doc and here's the method I use to calculate the necessary height for each text: NSSize newSize= NSMakeSize(width, 0.0); NSLayoutManager* layoutManager= [[textStorage layoutManagers] objectAtIndex:0]; NSTextContainer* textContainer= [[layoutManager textContainers] objectAtIndex:0]; [textContainer setContainerSize:newSize]; [textStorage addAttribute:NSFontAttributeName value:font range:NSMakeRange(0, [textStorage length])]; [textContainer setLineFragmentPadding:0.0]; [layoutManager glyphRangeForTextContainer:textContainer]; return [layoutManager usedRectForTextContainer:textContainer].size.height; The only problem is that I don't know how to draw in an NSRect with the layout manager.     I can't find a work around for the innerHTML bug in IE7. I need to look at the contents of dynamicly generated HTML and change it if the text is "-1".     I'm pretty new to Python programming and would appreciate some help to a problem I have... Basically I have multiple text files which contain velocity values as such: 0.259515E+03 0.235095E+03 0.208262E+03 0.230223E+03 0.267333E+03 0.217889E+03 0.156233E+03 0.144876E+03 0.136187E+03 0.137865E+00 etc for many lines... What I need to do is convert all the values in the text file that are less than 1 (e.g. 0.137865E+00 above) to an arbitrary value of 0.100000E+01. While it seems pretty simple to replace specific values with the 'replace()' method and a while loop, how do you do this if you want to replace a range? thanks

    Im new to Smarty in combination with PHP and I really like it. Unfortunatly im running into a problem while validating fields after a $_POST has been done. I've made an array called $errors and use that to save error messages in, for example: $errors[] .= "Wrong email";. My problem is in sending the $errors array over to the template so I can use it to display the error messages. My question: How do you 'transfer' the $errors variable over to the template file so you can use it there with, for example {foreach}. I was planning on doing something like {if $hasErrors} {foreach from=errors item=error} <li>{$error}</li> {/foreach} {/if} Thanks in advance

I have an assignment where we are looking for missing data for a particular date - the situation is that users are required to enter a begin and an end note for their shift and their shift is either a day shift or a night shift. So within a 24 hour period there should be a day begin note, day end note, evening begin note and an evening end note I have the command written to generate the required data for ONE DAY ONLY using a BeginDate parameter supplied by the user What I need is to allow the user to enter a date range (add another parameter EndDate), then evaluate the data entry (command) for each day. The parameter being passed in using the user's input is a date and in the Group Expert the user input is not an available field Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated!

  • iOS dynamic object creation

    I've worked with Xcode and iOS on a few personal projects and have always used non-object-oriented designs for everything... just because I've been doing mostly learning/experimenting with things. Now I've been trying to implement some object oriented design into one game I've made previously. The idea is, I have a space ship that can shoot bullets. In the past I basically added the UIImageView to the storyboard and then connected it to the .h file and from there did things on it like move it around or whatever (using CGPointMake). The idea now is to make a method (and a whole other class soon) that will create a UIImageView programmatically, allocate it, add it to the superview etc... I've got this working so far, easy stuff, but the next part is a bit harder. Where do I store this local variable "bullet"? I've been saving it to an NSMutableArray and doing the following: (actually here are the methods that I have) -(void)movement { for (int i = 0; i < [array1 count]; i ++) { UIImageView *a = [array1 objectAtIndex:i]; a.center = CGPointMake(a.center.x + 2, a.center.y); if (a.center.x > 500) { [array1 removeObjectAtIndex:i]; [a removeFromSuperview]; } } } -(void)getBullet { UIImageView *bullet = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(ship.center.x + 20, ship.center.y - 2, 15, 3)]; bullet.image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"bullet2.png"]; bullet.hidden = NO; [self.view addSubview:bullet]; [array1 addObject:bullet]; } (by the way, array1 is declared in the .h file) and theres a timer that controls the movement method timer = [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:0.5 target:self selector:@selector(movement) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; first question is: what is the correct way of doing this? Storing a bullet for example until it is removed from the superview, should I store it another way? and another question is, when I remove a UIImageView from the superview, does that remove it from memory so its not using up system resources?     I am trying to parse the output of a command that expects to be writing to the screen. It has data separated by move-to-origin control sequences (for the VT220, ESC[1;1H). I only need the last part (i.e. after the last move-to-origin). I have tried doing this multiple ways (primarily awk and sed), but the problem is always that parts of the control sequence have special meaning (to the program, not just to the shell), and I cannot quote them when I substitute tput's output. Any suggestions?

    I am constructing a lighbox gallery, currently experimenting with FancyBox (http://fancybox.net) and ColorBox (http://colorpowered.com/colorbox). By default you have to include a link to the large version of the image so that the Lightbox can display it. However, I am wanting to have the image link URLs pointing to a script rather than directly to the image file. So for example, instead of: <a href="mysite/images/myimage.jpg"> I want to do: <a href="mysite/photos/view/abc123"> The above URL points to a function: public function actionPhotos($view) { $photo=Photo::model()->find('name=:name', array(':name'=>$view)); if(!empty($photo)) { $user=$photo->user; $this->renderPartial('_photo', array('user'=>$user, 'photo'=>$photo, true)); } } At some point in the future the function will also update the view count of the image. Now this approach is working to an extent - most images load up but some do not load up (the lightbox gets displayed in a malformed state). I think the reason for this is because it is not processing the function quick enough. For example when I click the "next" button it needs to go to the URL, process the function and retreive/output the response. Does anybody know how I can get this working properly?

  • Trying to send text message using sp_send_dbmail truncates url in body

    I'm using send_dbmail to send a text message to customers. This is the following sql: exec msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail @recipients='[email protected]', @body='check out this url https://www.someurl.com/directory/blah.aspx', @subject='I am the subject!' The body gets truncated to "check out this url https://www.someurl.com/directory/blah.as" (the "px" is removed from the end of the url). I've ruled out message length as I have tried sending just "www.google.com/test.aspx" and the "px" is removed as well. Another strange thing, when I try forwarding the text message to myself and add the "px" back on myself, it works. It also works if I send a email from outlook with the same body. Any ideas? Thanks.

    I would like to have users click a link that then selects the html text in another element (NOT an input). By "select" I mean the same way you would select text by dragging your mouse over it. This has been a bear to research because everyone talks about "select" or "highlight" in other terms. Is this possible?     Been trying to decide between using CodeMirror or Ace editor. I've been leaning towards CodeMirror, however there's one feature of Ace that I really like and that is how it does syntax validation. So as I'm typing there can appear a warning or error icon in the left gutter area beside the line number, and when I hover over it it gives me a little description. Is there any way to get this functionality in CodeMirror? Specifically, I'm using the css mode for CodeMirror. It'd also be nice to be able to add in my own custom validation. Thanks.

  • "Access is denied" when copying text file to printer UNC path

    We have a new server running Server 2008 R2. We also have a "DOS-based" program that prints directly to the UNC path of a print share. With the new server, we are unable to print from this program. According to support, the program's printing works in the same way as if we were to do a "copy mytextfile.txt \\myserver\myprinter". When we try to run this command in DOS, we get "Access is denied". Support is saying that this is why the DOS program is not able to print. I have tried granting all permissions on the printer to the appropriate users (under Security of the printer properties) but that did not work. Is there a policy setting that would cause this to be denied?
