  • How to return a value from facebook javascript connect api fucntions

    I am trying to create wrapper functions on facebook javascript connect api methods. My problem is that i can not return a value within the facebook api FB_RequireFeatures method. i want my isFBConnected() function to return true or false based on if i'm logged into facebook or not. What is happening is that when i return true it returns it to the child function, which makes sense however, my global "login" variable does not get set to true.     Hi, I'm trying to check whether val() has a specific value or not inside a form, if so deleting the contents / preventing the form being submitted depending on if both fields are filled in (stringOne and stringTwo). There's a default text for each input field, the first being "Namn, telefonnr, sökord" and the second "Område, plats, ort". If a user only fills in the first field the second must be cleared before the form string is passed on and vice versa.     hi I want to generate unique id's everytime i call methode generateCustumerId(). The generated id must be 8 characters long or less than 8 characters. This requirement is necessary because I need to store it in a data file and schema is determined to be 8 characters long for this id. Option 1 works fine. Instead of option 1, I want to use UUID. The problem is that UUID generates an id which has to many characters. I am using PuTTY to log into my local server, but it takes about 1.5 seconds to log in (from the click on 'Connect' to working command prompt, most of time is spend on "Authenticating with public key..."). I know many see even slower speeds, but I would like to have not more than 0.1 sec. login time. I already set UseDNS=no, allowed only IPv4 in the PuTTY client, and reduced key length from 4k down to 1k. Any other suggestions to speed it up even further?

    Dear all, I would like to do a simple sum per salesid in php - mysql after cross calculation between date (2 table) to get the real time commission, all the value already come out correctly but I got problem with final sum per sales id. salesid-commission aa0001 - 1000 bb0001 - 500 aa0001 - 200 bb0001 - 50 I already try with few sample in this web but still cannot meet the correct result.     I am getting different value for TimeZone.getDefault().getID() on different systems. For example, in case of Indian standard time, On one of the system we are getting "GMT+5:30": while on another we are getting "Asia/Calcutta". We are expected to get "Asia/calcutta" strings on all machines. Why is there an inconsistency for such behavior? Is there any way to get consistent behavior across different systems windows/MAC? What is the best way to get client time zone programmatically using Java?

    Kirk Kuykendall had given a script example a few years back in an ESRI forum http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=93&f=996&t=88246&mc=4 as to how to find the M (measure) value of a point in a shapefile along a route when you clicked on the point. This is very handy, BUT..I have 1500 points that I need M values for. Is there a way to automate this type of thing? I need the M values for the points to create linear events on the route. Note: I am not a programmer, but have people who can help me out.

Let me give an example... owner.com will have an admin panel where he can either disable or enable the client.com. when he disables the client.com should display a custom message instead of loading the files. client.com is written i a way that i will process requests from owner.com and also the other way round. so, here i want a list of the concepts with which we can implement the ownership and control over client.com any suggestions, links, references, answers will be helpful. If i am missing something in my question i will update my question according to your comments if any so that the users can give in their idea without confusing of what i had asked. THX

    First of all, thank you guys. You always know how to direct me when I cant even find the words to explain what the heck im trying to do. The default values of the columns on a couple of my tables need to equal the result of some complicated calculations on other columns in other tables. My first thought is to simply have the column default value equal the result of a stored procedure. I would also have one or more of the parameters pulled from the columns in the calling table. I don't know the syntax of how to do it though, and any time the word "stored" and "procedure" land next to each other in google I'm flooded with info on Parameter default values and nothing relating to what I actually want. Half of that was more of a vent than a question...any ideas though? And plz plz dont say "Well, you could use an On-Insert Trigger to..."

In my NSManagedObjectModel i am using three entities that are Class, Student and Score where class and student have one-to-many & inverse relationship and Student and Score have also inverse but one-one relationship. Score entity has all optional attributes and having default '0' decimalVaue, which is not assigned at the time new Student is added. But later i want to assign them score individually and also to particular attribute not all of score attributes in a go. I am able to create and add Students to particular Class but dont have any idea how to call particular student and assign them score. For example I want to assign Score'attribute "dribbling" [there are many attributes like "tackling"] a decimal value to Student "David" of Class "Soccer" ,how i can do that? But its updating the wrong value. ITs not the server time or localtime. mostly its 30 mins delay with godaddy's server time. Pls help.

    Hi! What might be reasons for running in the quoted exception upon a HQL select, when there is actually no NULL value in the respective field in the database? I've checked the database multiple times. I've manually submitted the query statement produced by hibernate (extracted from debug). Null values for the respective field are actually never returned. However, the corresponding row in the database is in fact nullable. Does hibernate care about the data base definition? I know, I could simple change the filed to a wrapper type, but we have a number of such fields in a legacy application and this only occurs upon a single query. I'm just wondering about the actual reason for getting this exception only with a single property. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
