  i have set up a twitter client on my iphone using mgtwitterengine. i've managed to set it up so i can tweet and recieve status updates. using the standard set up you can only receive between 10&20 updates. to be able to receive more updates then that you have to put[_engine getFollowedTimelineSinceID:0 startingAtPage:0 count:50]; but this does not allow you to get more than the original amount untill you activateif (params) { fullPath = [self _queryStringWithBase:fullPath parameters:params prefixed:YES]; } in SA_OAuthTwitterEngine.m. my problem is when i do this i can no longer post a new status from my app. i can have upto 200 statuses in the stream but no posting capabilities. this is the error:Error Domain=HTTP Code=401 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (HTTP error 401.)" any help would be appreciated. many thanks in advance

  I have a web service that is deployed in tomcat, and it is rejecting a soap request over https. However, I can't see any logs as to why it is doing so. I have the following set in my service endpoint implementation file: System.setProperty("javax.net.debug", "all"); System.setProperty("java.security.debug", "all"); And I pass the following parameters to tomcat: -Dcom.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.dump=true -Dcom.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump=true Is there anything else I need to do to see the internal jaxws logs? Are there some other loggers I need to enable?

Therefore, I spent some time with CLtL and other references trying to determine how to write a restart handler. (defun http-request (url param) (handler-bind ((USOCKET:UNSUPPORTED #'(lambda (x) (invoke-restart 'continue))))) (drakma:http-request url :method :post :parameters param)) According to my best understanding, the above code should trap the error USOCKET:UNSUPPORTED. It doesn't; it seems to ignore the error binder. How do I fix this?

• Any good GUI tool to easily create stored procs SQL server 2008 ?

  The templates for stored-procs in SSMS do not auto-populate all input columns, again there is manual work involved. I am looking for something like right-click on table and say CREATE stored-proc, and then it allows to pick a template, based on which it can populate the parameters etc. and give check-box in GUI (like table designer, you can easily add/remove a column). Some support for change management with table undergoing alter or otherwise would also be helpful. Currently we manually write all stored-procs, which i think we should be able to save time and labor with automation. Any suggestion on other free 3rd party tools ?

  It seems I have to find a different way to transmit the session token from a Flex client to a Struts backend without using cookies. If I were to put the session token in the payload of a request, at what point would I have to customize Struts' behaviour so that I can reuse as much of the existing session handling as possible? In particular, I don't want to reimplement whatever security measures (such as tying a token to an IP) and configuration parameters (such as session expiration interval). There's a CreateSession interceptor, rather early in the default stack, should I swap that with a subclassed version?

• Database file is inexplicably locked during SQLite commit

  Hello, I'm performing a large number of INSERTS to a SQLite database. I'm using just one thread. I batch the writes to improve performance and have a bit of security in case of a crash. Basically I cache up a bunch of data in memory and then when I deem appropriate, I loop over all of that data and perform the INSERTS. At seemingly random intervals, though at far too great a rate to ignore or otherwise workaround this problem, I get unhandled SQLiteException: Database file is locked. This occurs when I attempt to commit the transaction. No errors seem to occur prior to then. This does not always happen. Sometimes the whole thing runs without a hitch. No reads are being performed on these files before the commits finish. I have the very latest SQLite binary. I'm compiling for .NET 2.0. I'm using VS 2008. The db is a local file. All of this activity is encapsulated within one thread / process. Virus protection is off (though I think that was only relevant if you were connecting over a network?). As per Scotsman's post I have implemented the following changes: Journal Mode set to Persist DB files stored in C:\Docs + Settings\ApplicationData via System.Windows.Forms.Application.AppData windows call No inner exception Witnessed on two distinct machines (albeit very similar hardware and software) Have been running Process Monitor - no extraneous processes are attaching themselves to the DB files - the problem is definitely in my code... Does anyone have any idea whats going on here? I know I just dropped a whole mess of code, but I've been trying to figure this out for way too long. My thanks to anyone who makes it to the end of this question! brian UPDATES: Thanks for the suggestions so far! I've implemented many of the suggested changes. I feel that we are getting closer to the answer...however... The code above technically works however it is non-deterministic! It is not guaranteed to do anything aside from spin in neutral forever. In practice it seems to work somewhere between the 1st and 10th iteration. If i batch my commits at a reasonable interval damage will be mitigated but I really do not want to leave things in this state... More suggestions welcome!

Now, when I try to create a file using this code : FileStream os = new FileStream(String.Format(folderName, fileName), FileMode.Create); I get Access to filepath is denied. In the service Installer I set the following parameters to : this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Account = System.ServiceProcess.ServiceAccount.LocalSystem; this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Password = "Pass"; this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Username = "Administrator" I added all the possible accounts with Full permissions to the folder where I want to create the file but nothing helped. As I understand it the crux is that a copy of a reference is being passed. If you assign that copy, as in my example, then you lose the reference to the original and it remains unchanged.   Hi, I need to call a function from a python script and pass in parameters into it. I have a test python script which I can call and run from java using Jepp - this then adds the person. • Facelets charset problem

  Hi! In my earlier post there was a problem with JSF charset handling, but also the other part of the problem was MySQL connection parameters for inserting data into db. The problem was solved. But, I migrated the same application from JSP to facelets and the same problem happened again. Characters from input fields are replaced when inserting to database (c is replaced with Ä), but data inserted into db from sql scripts with proper charset are displayed correctly. I'm still using registered filter and page templates are used with head meta tag as following: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-2"> If I insert into h:form tag the following attribute: acceptcharset="iso-8859-2" I get correct characters in Firefox, but not in IE7. Is there anything else I should do to make it work? Thanks in advance.

  I had 2 Python similar scripts, that I've since merged into one (and now takes some parameters to differ the behaviour appropriately). Both of the previous files are in the tip of my Mercurial repository. How can I indicate that the new file, is a combination of the 2 older files that I intend to remove? Also note, that 1 file has been chosen in favor of the other, and some code moved across, so if it's not possible to create a version controlled file with a new name, then assimilating one file's history into the other will suffice.

The request url looks something like: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/username/uploads with 'username' being the correct username. This bring back the appropriate url in the browser. This should be made accessible from all forms in the app at any time... How could I do this... Is there any place like "Session" in ASP.NET here... Further How do coders generally pass information from one form to another... Here I want to pass on the info I acquired in the first form to the subsequent forms... • encoding of =1 in emails

  Hi folks, I have probably a stupid problem. In a script I generate a URL with GET parameters, something like 'www.mydomain.com/index.php?item=1234'. This URL will be sent by PHP through mail() in an UTF-8 encoding (the scriptfile itself also is utf-8). Now each time I have the GET-Parameter with two numbers after the '=' the URL in the email looks like 'www.mydomain.com/index.php?item?34' with a rectangle instead of '=12'. • Direct comparator in Java out of the box

  I have a method which needs a Comparator for one of its parameters. I would like to pass a Comparator which does a normal comparison and a reverse comparator which does in reverse. java.util.Collections provides a reverseOrder() this is good for the reverse comparison, but I could not find any normal Comparator. The only solution what came into my mind is Collections.reverseOrder(Collections.reverseOrder()). but I don't like it because the double method calling inside. Of course I could write a NormalComparator like this: public class NormalComparator<T extends Comparable> implements Comparator<T> { public int compare(T o1, T o2) { return o1.compareTo(o2); } } But I'm really surprised that Java doesn't have a solution for this out of the box.

• SSRS and hiding other selections once a parameter is selected

  I am learning SSRS so this is probably an extremely easy solution. I have a bunch of reports that were rebuilt to match some old Access reports. For each report, we have to be able to run Current, Last, Next or Adhoc dates. Is there an easy way if a user selects Adhoc to then show the parameters selections for Start and End Date for the Adhoc selection? Right now, I have people who select Current and then go and put in dates. • Publish failed in Web Application Project (MVC)

  I usually use the "Publish" feature in VS 2008 to get the correct files and so on that I can publish to my website. But from time to time publish fails without any good error message at all. I know that it can be a couple of different reasons but I am starting to grow really tired with this now. Can anyone teach me how to build the website from the command line? As I said it is a MVC project. Can I use the aspnet_compiler for this? What parameters should I use to simulate the same behavior as a "Publish"?
