• NDbUnit MySQL Assembly Version Conflict

  I am trying to use NHiberanate with NDbUnit but I cannot as NDbUnit tried to load MySql.Data version 1.0.10.1 and NHibernate tries to load version 6.2.2.0 and I can only reference one of them. Here is the error I get when i try to run NDbUnit Set Up System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=1.0.10.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. • jQuery AJAX call undefined error with special characters

  Hi, I tried to make an AJAX call using jQuery, the data has special characters, e.g {'data':'<p>test</p>'}. It seems failed to pass this data in the first place. It will work if i just pass {'data':'test'}. encodeURIComponent and JSON.stringify failed here due to the special character < > /. Could anyone please help with it?   I've been noticing superfluous changes in my xib files with Interface Builder 3.2.1. Here are a few of them: - <reference key="NSNextResponder"/> + <nil key="NSNextResponder"/> - <reference key="NSSuperview"/> - <array class="NSMutableArray" key="IBDocument.EditedObjectIDs"> - <integer value="6"/> - </array> + <array class="NSMutableArray" key="IBDocument.EditedObjectIDs"/> Can anyone tell me what these are, and are there any tricks for avoiding them? I'd prefer my checkins to only describe changes I intentionally made. Update: I wasn't clear in the original question, but these differences were caused by opening the file in Interface Builder and saving it without making a change.

  I want to display an image when printing a page from MS Page using the FilePageSetupHeader. It all works fine if I pass in the parameter for the Text property as a string as such FilePageSetupHeader Alignment:=pjRight, Text:="&P""C:\filepath\image.gif""" However, I'd prefer to be able to pass the filepath to the image to display as a variable. Somehow I can't get it right. So if I try something like the following: vImagePath = """&P""""" & prjFilePath & "\image.gif"""""" FilePageSetupHeader Alignment:=pjRight, Text:=vImagePath it just displays the path as a string. I'm pretty sure it boils down to something simple like escaping the quotes in the correct way, but I've been playing around with it for a while now and I can't seem to get it right. • Nunit test project won't compile under mono

  Question: I am implementing an OpenSource version of Microbosoft Sync framework, [http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...isplaylang=en] (Checkout: git clone [email protected]:quandary/SyncFramework.git) but I ran into a unittest problem. I added a nunit test-project to the C# project, but it's not compiling... I created the project on Windows, and there it compiled well. On Linux, the project compiles well, but compiling the unittest, I always get: Assembly 'nunit.framework, Version=2.5.5.10112, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09 My problem now is I installed nunit and added a reference to it (on Linux with mono), but I still get this message, I take out 'require specific version', and I still get this message... I also removed the windows reference to nunit, but still no change.

  Hi. I got a wsdl file in email. At first I didn't know how to use it. I've simply saved the file to my disk. Opened visual studio...added a service reference...provided path to file, and service was discovered. I opened the object browser to see the types and methods that got imported. I figure anything that ends with the name 'Client' is a good place to start using the web service. I've tried using a simple method to get data but it has run into and expception. Need help in resolving it. • Need to call COM component using reflection in .NET

  I need to determine the COM component(unmanaged code) type and invoke the exposed interface's methods using reflection in C# at runtime. First What member of "Type" tells that type is COM component and we can take CLSID at runtime? Is Type.COMObject? I need to call methods of exposed interfaces as they called in unmanaged code using CoCreateInstance by passing CLSID and REFID ... I am using InvokeMember but it returns null or 0 as out parameter. How to pass out parameter in this case.? Is there any need to pass out parameter? As all my COM unmanaged code suppose to take last parameter as an OUT parameter and after executing it puts the result into that out param. But I've converted all my unmanaged COM code to .NET managed assemblies using tlbimp.exe.

• When giving DataSource to a BindingSource shows only the cachedList Items.

  I have a BindingSource on a form with MyObject Datasource. I Open another form and passing MyObject where i give its EntitySetObject reference to another BindingSource. Everything ok. Deleting an Entity on EntitySetObject reference and closing the form with EndEdit(). OK. Back in the "First" form i add one Entity in MyObject.EntitySetObject and again opening the form. But i have noticed that when giving the datasource to the BindingSource i have 2 items in cachedlist and 3 entities. Control now shows only the 2 cached items. Any Idea?

• In CAB is a service it's own module?

  I'm learning Composite Application Block and I've hit a rock about services. I have my shell application in its own solution, and of course a test module in its own solution (developed and testing completely independent and external of the shell solution). If I created a service named "Sql Service", would I need to put this in it's own library, so that both the shell, and the module know the types? If that's the case, then for good practice, should I put the service project in the shell solution, or external just like a module (in it's own solution), even though it's not loaded as a module? Then, what about references? Should the shell reference this directly, add then add the service? Or load it as a module and add the service? I have a lot of confusion on where I should create my services, and if I should reference or load as modules..

Most resources are out of date (so out of date they refer to it as code-only), and the other references I can find seem to assume you understand the basics of context building and code-first (for example, they reference code to build contexts but don't describe where that code should actually go, and how it's actually run). • Can I use XText for a DSL involving an XML file type?

  I have defined a small DSL that is mostly written in the form of different types of XML files in conjuction with some property files. This works very well but I wish to create an Eclipse Editor to make editing these files easier for beginners (I already have a working parser). The main XML file can reference some items from the .properties files and vice-versa. THe main xml file can also reference other XML files. Certain options should only be available in the main xml file based on the contents of the .properties files and based on some osgi plugins that can be added to the DSL project (the syntax is dynamic depending on context). The structure of the language is fixed but the options available in each attribute or the choice of attributes themselves changes depending on metadata contained in plugin .jar files. Questions: Does XText support dynamic syntax (validation changes depending on external factors)? Does XText support XML files / .properties files? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

  Hi all, I need handle the SIGSEGV in my Linux app. The reason is some clean up(3-partry lib) must be done before generate core-dump. What is more, the clean up must be performed in the context of calling thread, cannot do in signal handler. So I plan in signal handler to pass the control to the calling thread, after the clean up finished, then use raise(SIGSEGV) to generate the core-dump. The real problem seems the signal_handler cannot pass the control to calling thread, no matter I use post_sem or some others. Any idea to handle this case?   In my Bootstrapper.cs in GetModuleCatalog, I need to specify the Module types using the typeof(ModuleType). In the example below I'm trying to load the Contact module on demand, but in order to get it into my module catalog, I need to have a reference to it in the project that holds my Bootstrapper. When I add a reference to Contact, then the Contact.dll gets added to the initial xap file, which defeats the purpose of loading the module dynamically. Am I missing something?   There is a question about Inherit docstrings in Python class inheritance, but the answers there deal with method docstrings. My question is how to inherit a docstring of a parent class as the __doc__ attribute. The usecase is that Django rest framework generates nice documentation in the html version of your API based on your view classes' docstrings. But when inheriting a base class (with a docstring) in a class without a docstring, the API doesn't show the docstring.   Hi I am using a navigation Controller on an iPhone app. I am able to pass data forward when I push a controller into the navigation stack but how do I pass data back when I pop the controller. What I am basically trying to achieve is the root navigation controller view displays a number of fields that can be edited. A user then clicks on one of the fields to be edited and a EditViewController is pushed onto the stack with the name of the field the user wants to edit. Now the users enters the new value of the field and presses save to pop the view controller. So how do I get the value from the editViewController back to the root navigation controller view?

• Where is the Bonjour COM library?

  I've downloaded and installed the Bonjour SDK for Windows on my Win7 64bit machine. I've tried to build both of the the projects in C:\Program Files\Bonjour SDK\Samples\CS. However they both reference Bonjour, causing me to get the following build error 'Cannot load type library for reference "Bonjour". Library not registered.' Bonjour appears to be installed properly as I can run the Bonjour Printer Wizard and it appears to work properly. Any idea why Visual Studio can't find the Library? I'm using Visual Studio 2008 by the way.

  Hi, I am trying to use an Entity Framework Model (in separate project) into an asp.net 4 MVC project (VS2010, C#) If I create the EF inside the MVC project I have no problems. I think I am missing some step. things done: 1. added reference to the EF class project 2. added connection string in MVC web.config 3. added reference to System.Data.Entity in both web.config and project references Now i can use the model only if I copy the .edmx file to the Models folder, but in this way the EF project is not external anymore. • Start Activity with an animation

  I am trying to start an activity with a custom transition animation. The only way I have found out so far to do this (without using onPendingTransition() in the previous activity) is to use a custom theme on the activity and define either activityOpenEnterAnimation, taskOpenEnterAnimation, windowEnterAnimation or windowAnimationStyle to set the animation. But, none of these attributes are working for me. Some experimentation yielded the following results- If I set the windowAnimationStyle attribute to some custom style which defines values for activityOpenEnterAnimation, taskOpenEnterAnimation, windowEnterAnimation or windowAnimationStyle I can get rid of the default transition animation occurring at the start of the activity. It doesn't show the transition animation using the actual value specified but at least the default animation is not shown. According to the reference doc here, http://developer.android.com/reference/android/R.attr.html I should be able to define an animation at the start of the activity using activityOpenEnterAnimation. But no success so far. Any ideas?

I need to figure out a way to pass callback methods as args to my async methods so that the callback can be invoked when the task is finished. What is the best way to achieve this in Objective C? In Python, for example I could easily pass a function, but in Objective C it seems selectors are the way to go(?). Can anyone point me to an example from where I can get some ideas? • Integrating GSL onto iPhone Xcode

  I have been trying to integrate GSL (Gnu Scientific Library) into an iPhone project using Xcode. The challenge is GSL has all the modules in different folders, yet when their header files are reference, they often reference instead of or . At least with I could use Xcode's recursive header file search to find it. But with , basically file not found. Does anyone have an easy way to address the hierarchical GSL structure to compile into Xcode? I can do it the tedious way of fixing all the #INCLUDE lines but hoping there is a better alternative. This way, I can more easily update GSL when changes are made by the community. NOTE: I found Xcode needs to find the right header file locations (make sure to adjust your TARGET Build settings, not just your Project Build settings).
