• WPF Custom ListBox as Buttons Click not firing

  I am attempting to have a ListBox of TextBoxes with click events. I have read that one way to achieve this was to have a list of Buttons and call ButtonBase.Click="" on the ListBox. This was not working. Any advice as to how I would hook up a click event to the listbox items? But that can be done by some jquery..!!! The table itself can be generated with php... Right now i am using two separate queries : One to get the sum of the amount and commission grouped by the hotel name. The next is to get the individual row for each entry having that date in the table. This is, of course, because grouping the records for calculating sum() returns only one row for each of the hotel with the sum of the amounts... Is there a way to combine these two queries into a single one and do the operation in a more optimized way...?? Hope i am being clear.. Thanks for your time and replies...

• Need help in tuning a sql-query

  Hello, i need some help to boost this SQL-Statement. The execution time is around 125ms. During the runtime of my program this sql (better: equally structured sqls for different tables) will be called 300.000 times. The average row count in the tables lies around 10.000.000 rows and new rows (updates/inserts) will be added with a timestamp each day. Data which are interesting for this particular export-program lies in the last 1-3 days. Maybe this is helpful for an index to create. The data i need is the current valid row for a given id and the forerunner datarow to get the updates (if exists). We use a Oracle 11g database and Dot.Net Framework 3.5 SQL-Statement to boost: select ID_SOMETHING, -- Number(12) ID_CONTRIBUTOR, -- Char(4 Byte) DATE_VALID_FROM, -- DATE DATE_VALID_TO -- DATE from TBL_SOMETHING XID where ID_SOMETHING = :ID_INSTRUMENT and ID_CONTRIBUTOR = :ID_CONTRIBUTOR and DATE_VALID_FROM <= :EXPORT_DATE and DATE_VALID_TO >= :EXPORT_DATE order by DATE_VALID_FROM asc; Here i uploaded the current Explain-Plan for this query. I'm not a database expert so i don't know which index-type would fit best for this requirement. I have seen that there are many different possible index-types which could be applied. Maybe Oracle Optimizer Hints are helpful, too. Does anyone has a good idea for tuning this sql or can point me in a right direction?

• jQuery Tabs remove icon

  Using jQuery Tabs script with an icon to remove the tab but this code renders differntly in IE8 and Firefox 3.6.2. The problem is that Firefox wraps the tab and puts "X" signs in new row, whicle IE correctly renders it in the same row (but not centered vertically as it should but rather in the top right corner - which is still better than Firefox behaviour). • Javascript : Submitting a form outside the actual form doesn't work

  Hello all, I'm trying to achieve a fairly easy triggering mechanism for deleting multiple items from a tablegrid. If a user has enough access he/she is able to delete multiple users from a table. In the table I have set up checkboxes, one per row/user. The name of the checkboxes is UsersToDeletep[], and the value per row is the unique UserID. When a user clicks the button 'Delete selected users' a simple validation takes place to make sure at least one checkbox is selected. After that I call my simple function Submit(form). The function works perfectly when called within the form-tags, where I also use it to delete a single user. The function: function Submit(form) { document.forms[form].submit(); } I've also alerted document.forms[form]. The result is, as expected [object HTMLFormElement]. But for some reason the form just won't submit and a pagereload takes place. I'm a bit confused and can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Everything appears and scrolls fine, except when the user clicks on an actual row, the highlighted cell displays some text from another cell.   I've been successful in creating a simple trigger with a PHP script. The problem comes when I have to use "DELIMITER" in my trigger creating because I have nested if/then statements. For example, the following DOES work: $sql = 'CREATE TRIGGER `database`.`detail` BEFORE INSERT on `database`.`vibez_detail` FOR EACH ROW set @a=new.realtime_value'; $junk = mysqli_query($link, $sql); However, if I need to use "DELIMITER" I get errors galore. Here's what works if I go to the MySQL client at the server: DELIMITER $$; DROP TRIGGER `database`.`detail`$$ CREATE TRIGGER `database`.`detail` BEFORE INSERT on `database`.`vibez_detail` FOR EACH ROW BEGIN set new.data_rate = 69; insert into alarm_trips_parent values (null, new.data_rate, 6969, now()); set @tripped_time = now(); set @tripped:=true; end if; end if; END$$ DELIMITER ;$$ How can I construct the PHP code to get this to work? Seems the mysqli_query($link, $sql) chokes as soon as I put "DELIMITER" in the $sql variable. • Why is my html getting mal-formed?

  I have the following table in a form that's embedded in a formtastic form (semantic_form_for). Everything I ask to be generated by ruby shows up, but the table gets badly mangled (essentially, the tags NEVER get formed. • How to make Jtable column contain checkboxes?

  Preface: I am horrible with java, and worse with java ui components. I have found several different tutorials on how to add buttons to tables, however I am struggling with adding checkboxes. I need to have a column that draws a text box ticked on default (cell renderer i think handles that), then on click of tickbox, unticks the box, redraws said box, and fires off an event somewhere I can track. currently I have a custom cellrenderer: public class GraphButtonCellRenderer extends JCheckBox implements TableCellRenderer { public GraphButtonCellRenderer() { } public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table, Object value, boolean isSelected, boolean hasFocus, int row, int column) { if(isSelected) setSelected(true); else setSelected(false); setMargin(new Insets(0, 16, 0, 0)); setIconTextGap(0); setBackground(new Color(255,255,255,0)); return this; }} Which currently handles drawing the tick box, but only ticks and unticks the box if that row is selected. But I don't know how to handle the events. Really what I am asking is possibly a link to a good tutorial on how to add checkboxes cleanly to a JTable. Any assist is greatly appreciated :)

  Hi, I am testing Paypal's masspay using their 'MassPay NVP example' and I having difficulty trying to amend the code so inputs data from my MySql database. Basically I have user table in MySql which contains email address, status of payment (paid,unpaid) and balance. Also I need it to loop to however many rows that were retrieved from the query as <3 in the for loop above. • Reduce size and change text color of the bootstrap-datepicker field

  Programing an Android application based on HTML5/JQuery launching in a web view, I'm using the Eternicode's bootstrap-datepicker. BTW I'm using Jquery 1.9.1 and Bootstrap 2.3.2 with bootstrap-responsive. The picker is working fine but unfortunately I get yet two issues which I was not able to solve at this time: the picker theme is not respected and some dates are not readable (see the attached picture). Some there is css conflict such as the datepicker's font is displayed white on white background. I'm not able to reduce the size of the date picker field such as it holds on alone row.   I have a listview defined as such <ListView Width="auto" SelectionMode="Single" ItemContainerStyle="{StaticResource baseListViewStyle}" .... Then in "baseListViewStyle" I have defined some base styles to apply to my list views, including a Style trigger: <Style x:Key="baseListViewStyle" TargetType="ListViewItem"> <Setter Property="Height" Value="20" /> <Setter Property="HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Stretch"/> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="Red" /> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> The trigger here highlights the row when mouse is over it. Nice. I also have a Data Trigger on the listviewitem: <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding IsTestTrue}" Value="True"> <DataTrigger.EnterActions> <BeginStoryboard Storyboard="{StaticResource SomeFunkyAnimation}" /> </DataTrigger.EnterActions> </DataTrigger> If test is true then a nice little fade animation is played out. This all works except when I move my mouse over the row where "test is true" the animation stops and the mouse over style is displayed. Any ideas how I can override that style in my DataTrigger? TIA

  I have this piece of logic I would like to implement as a trigger, but I have no idea how to do it! I want to create a trigger that, when a row is deleted, it checks to see if the value of one of its columns exists in another table, and if it does, it should also perform a delete on another table based on another column. So say we had a table Foo that has columns Bar, Baz. This is what id be doing if i did not use a trigger: function deleteFromFooTable(FooId) { SELECT (Bar,Baz) FROM FooTable WHERE id=FooId if not-empty(SELECT * FROM BazTable WHERE id=BazId) DELETE FROM BarTable WHERE id=BarId DELETE FROM FooTable WHERE id=FooId } I jumped some hoops in that pseudo code, but i hope you all get where im going. It seems what i would need is a way to do conditionals and to loop(in case of multiple row deletes?) in the trigger statement. So far, I haven't been able to find anything. Is this not possible, or is this bad practice? Thanks!

  Howdy Folks, I have a SQLServer 2008 database in which I have a table for Tags. A tag is just an id and a name. These processes use a stored proc that looks like: ALTER PROC [dbo].[lg_Tag_Insert] @Name varchar(255) AS DECLARE @ID int SET @ID = (select ID from Tag where Name=@Name ) if @ID is null begin INSERT Tag(Name) VALUES (@Name) RETURN SCOPE_IDENTITY() end else begin return @ID end My issues is that, other than being a novice at concurrent database design, there seems to be a race condition that is causing me to occasionally get an error that I'm trying to enter duplicate keys (Name) into the DB. The error is: Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.Tag' with unique index 'IX_Tag_Name'. This makes sense, I'm just not sure how to fix this. If it where code I would know how to lock the right areas. SQLServer is quite a different beast. First question is what is the proper way to code this 'check, then update pattern'? It seems I need to get an exclusive lock on the row during the check, rather than a shared lock, but it's not clear to me the best way to do that. So in short, how do i write this plain old sql :- Select b.BlogTitle, bp.PostTitle, bpc.CommentText from tblBlogs b Inner join tblBlogPosts bp on b.BlogId = bp.BlogId Inner Join tblBlogPostComment bpc on bp.BlogPostsId = bpc.BlogPostsId Inner Join tblBlogMember bm On bpc.BlogMemberId = bm.BlogMemberId Where bm.UserId = 1; As you can see, everything is Inner join, so only that row will be retrieved for which the user has commented on some post of some blog. So, suppose he has joined 3 blogs whose ids are 1,2,3 (The blogs which user has joined are in tblBlogMembers) but the user has only commented in blog 2 (of say BlogPostId = 1). So that row will be retrieved and 1,3 won't as it is Inner Join. How do i write this kind of query in jpql? In jpql, we can only write simple queries like say :- Select bm.blogId from tblBlogMember Where bm.UserId = objUser; Where objUser is supplied using :- em.find(User.class,1); Thus once we get all blogs(Here blogId represents a blog object) which user has joined, we can loop through and do all fancy things. But i don't want to fall in this looping business and write all this things in my java code. Instead, i want to leave that for database engine to do. So, how do i write the above plain sql into jpql? and what type of object the jpql query will return? because i am only selecting few fields from all table. • Sql Serve - Cascade delete has multiple paths

  Hi all, I have two tables, Results and ComparedResults. ComparedResults has two columns which reference the primary key of the Results table. My problem is that if a record in Results is deleted, I wish to delete all records in ComparedResults which reference the deleted record, regardless of whether it's one column or the other (and the columns may reference the same Results row). A row in Results may deleted directly or through cascade delete caused by deleting in a third table. Googling this could indicate that I need to disable cascade delete and rewrite all cascade deletes to use triggers instead. Is that REALLY nessesary? I'd be prepared to do much restructuring of the database to avoid this, as my main area is OO programming, and databases should 'just work'. It is hard to see, however, how a restructuring could help as I would just move the problem around... Or am I missing something? I am also a bit at a loss as to why my initial construct should even be a problem for the Sql Server?! Any comments welcome and much appreciated! Anders, Denmark

• Right way of making muti-site and multi-lingual website on codeigniter

When I will finish my web site and will have much time on watching how userbase is growing I will come here again and again to answer to another people questions(if I can ) So here is the problem. I made a web-site on CodeIgniter. A social network engine. Something like phpfox, classmates_com or facebook. It's right now somehow not multilingual, So the UI strings are in the view files, and next step will be move them to the language files. I want the user to have ability to change the language. So I assume that in database user will have row "lang_local" which would be by default set to en, and then to any other language he will change . So what is eating my nervs and enery is following. I will make on this engine several demographic social networks,and I would like to manage theese web-sites in centralized manner with one backend . So whenever I would like to make a new web-network, I just add the domain settings install the script in new folder and add it in database sites I see it like this on every table in database like users,comments,messages,categories ,etc I will have a row site_id , and on each query add/update/delete I add a WHERE SITE_ID=XXX and in table sites(site_id,site_name,domain_name) will have all domains , so that in backend I can filter data by website. Is this a good way? What if i will need then to be multiserver, what about load balancing? Who can tell me what would be a right,PROFESSIONAL way? My maximum user limit for a database is something like for start 10.000 in one-two year 100.000users
