    Hi, First of all, I am aware my issue is against the philosophy of Android, but I have no choice, this application will run on a embedded car gps and I need to bring an activity to prevent from car accident, for example, when it's happen around the user. I have to put other activity on the back and bring my alert pop up without user manipulation like notification on the front. Is there a way to bring manually an activity to the front, by resuming it like when you click on the android task switcher?

  • Fastest possible summing numbers up to N

    Okay so i need really FAST algorithm or code in C if you have any it would be nice. The task is to sum all numbers from 1 to N for a given number N (it can be negative number too), so i did the usual way (you know just summing with loop from 1 to N) but it's not fast enough - i need something faster, i guess that i need the fastest possible way to do this.   • Deploying patches and new versions.

    I'm deveoping a big project, I have the dev folder (connected to a specific subdomain) then the "real" folder, the live one. When I'm ready to push patches or whole new versions I'm currently copying the files individually, is there a program that can help me do this task? Keep in mind that some files (the config one and the htacess) must never change in the live version. Thank you

    I've got a number of S3 objects that are available to my customers. Since I'd like to bill my customers by usage, I wondered if there is any smart kind of way to get the number of times a given file has been downloaded? Alternatively, I suppose I could parse the log files provided by S3, but with 10m+ fetches per customer this might be bit of a task. Any ideas?

I'm using php, but am open to using other languages, and don't mind learning a little bit of sound theory as long as the time is proportionate to the task.

    Hi, I'm working with devexpress pivot grid, so I added the paging function and everything is working fine, the only thing I need to do is display the total row on each page, at this moment it is displayed just in the last one, I was looking on DevExpress documentation and it looks like pivot grid calculate the total and gran total automatically and I don't find any thing about my task, anybody knows how can I do this???   • Easiest way to position camera in XNA?

    Everytime I load my model into XNA, I can usually see it far off in the distance. When I change some parameters and make it zoom up close, 10/10 times it's rotated funny and I'm set with the task of rotating it. Is there any easy way to do it except by experimenting? Or am I exporting it wrong (using Blender)? Is there any value I should set the objects in my 3d scene to be before exporting it so they appear 'upright'?

The C declaration for the assembly routine looks like this: void mirrorbmp1(void *img, int width, int height) The task involves Mirror/flipping a 1 bpp .BMP image horizontally while Handling any image width properly, not only multiples of 8. I am new to assembly programming and have very little idea about how i should do the ask. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Unable to ssh to a Linux VM after a day

    I have a machine running 4 VMs on it. There is one Fedora VM which is causing me some trouble. The IPs of the VMs are something like 10.100.100.* I have a Windows PC which is in the same network. It has an IP 10.100.25.77. When I reboot the Fedora VM, I am able to ping it from my Windows PC as well as use putty to ssh to it. The next day, I cant ping it or ssh from my Windows PC. However I can ping and ssh to the other VMs on the machine. If I ssh to one of the other VMs, I can ping and ssh to the Fedora VM. Next if I restart it, things get back to normal and I can access it without any issues. The IP of the VM doesn't change after rebooting and it is statically assigned I would like to know what is causing this and how to get it fixed. As a last resort, I am thinking of running a cron job to restart the VM every night, it is not a critical server, but will be generally used occasionally in the day time.

    Ok, I have a flowchart definition (basically, array of nodes and edges for each node). Now I want to calculate coordinates for every task in the flow, preferably hierarchycal style. I need something like Graph::Easy::Layout but I have no idea how to get nodes coordinates: I render nodes myself and I only want to retrieve box coordinates/size. Any suggestions? What I need is a CPAN module available even in Debian repository.

  • Killing a process that keeps respawning

    I got infected by a virus. It looks like I removed it, but it somehow injected a few more processes (I can see them in the task manager) that respawn when I kill them (somehow). Is there a way to destroy those process to stop them from respawning, or in the case something else is respawning them, to kill that "something"?

    Task: (all in code, not visual) create a canvas, place into it some labels and draw some lines, then cache it as byteArray. The problem is that if I cache an object that is already drawed on the screen, it works great, but if I cache a canvas, that have been created few lines earlier, this results white image. Is there any solution to cache a display object, that was created in code, but not intended to be displayed at all?

    I have configured my first server (Debian with ISPConfig). Generally i want to send bulk e-mails to our users, i configure postfix and turn on postfix... but...     Hi there. I'm trying to build a simple cluster based on Windows XP. I compiled OpenMPI-1.4.2 successfully, and tools like mpicc and ompi_info work too, but I can't get my mpirun working properly. Can anyone help me? Upd2: Error code -2147024891 might be WMI error WBEM_E_INVALID_PARAMETER (0x80041008) which occures when one of the parameters passed to the WMI call is not correct. Does this mean that the problem is in OpenMPI source code itself? Or maybe it's because of wrong/outdated wincred.h and credui.lib I used while building OpenMPI from the source code?
