    Hi I know this question has popped up before but I could not find a good answer so I try here. I have a pure C dll (Win32) and I get this warning when compiling: MSVCRTD.lib(cpu_disp.obj) : warning LNK4210: .CRT section exists; there may be unhandled static initializers or terminators Everything seems to work just fine but I am concerned about this warning since I do not understad it. I have quite a few static variables but I do not understand what ".CRT section exist" means. What approach should I take to eliminate this warning. When I try to add the libs msdn suggests I get a ton of linker errors.

  • Insert into a generic dictionary with possibility of duplicate keys?

    Is there any reason to favor one of these approaches over the other when inserting into a generic dictionary with the possibility of a key conflict? I'm building an in-memory version of a static collection so in the case of a conflict it doesn't matter whether the old or new value is used. If Not mySettings.ContainsKey(key) Then mySettings.Add(key, Value) End If Versus mySettings(key) = Value And then of course there is this, which is obviously not the right approach: Try mySettings.Add(key, Value) Catch End Try Clearly the big difference here is that the first and second approaches actually do different things, but in my case it doesn't matter. It seems that the second approach is cleaner, but I'm curious if any of you .net gurus have any deeper insight. Thanks!

  • Why can't I access a web app running on my Mac via my iPhone?

    I'm developing an iPhone app that has a network component. I'm developing the app in Java (Google App Engine actually), running on port 8080. And it works, when I test my app in the iPhone simulator. But now I am trying to test on the device, and I can't hit my Jetty instance. I can certainly access my Mac via the iPhone because I'm able to hit http://10.0.1.7/~brianpapa/ and view my Home Folder when Web Sharing is turned on. But when I try to hit http://10.0.1.7:8080/, it says it can't connect to the server. Interestingly, if I try to hit http://10.0.1.7:8080/ from my mac, it doesn't work either - I have to use localhost as the hostname instead, then it's fine. Has anybody ever encountered this before, and know how to fix it?

  • Referenced Assembly won't load

    I've got a visual studio 2010 project which publishes an assembly called myAssembly.ddl. I then want to reference myAssembly.dll from an existing vs 2008 project. If I try to load the reference it comes up with an yellow exclamation mark next to it, suggesting that the assembly wasn't loaded. However, I'm not getting any error messages during that process. Obviously, if i try to import the namespace in my code it doesn't compile. Converting myAssembly.dll to a .net version 3.5 doesn help. Nor does copying the assembly to a different directory and referencing it from there. Any ideas?

I wanna get some data from oracle server like: 1-get all the function,package,procedure and etc for showing them or drop them & etc... 2-compile my *.sql files,get the result if they have problem & etc... becuz I was beginner in oracle first of all I for solve the second problem I try to connect to sqlPlus by RUN sqlplus and trace the output(I mean,I change the output stream of shell and trace what happend and handle the assigned message to customer. NOW THIS PART SUCCEED. just a little bit I have problem with get all result because the output is asynchronous.any way... [in this case I log in to oracle Server by send argument to the sqlplus by make a process in c#] after that I try to get all function,package or procedure name,but I have problem in speed!so I try to use oracle.DataAccess.dll to connect the database. now I m so confusing about: which way is correct way to build a program that work like Oracle Developer! I do not have any experience for like these program how work. If Your answer is I must use the second way follow this part plz: I search a little bit the Golden,PLedit (Benthic software),I have little bit problem how I must create the connection string?because I thinking about how I can find the host name or port number that oracle work on them?? am I need read the TNSNames.Ora file? And when i try to get response using NSURL code, it does not respond. Below is the code.   • Java Socket Connection is flooding network OR resulting in high ping

    i have a little problem with my java socket code. I'm writing an android client application which is sending data to a java multithreaded socket server on my pc through direct(!) wireless connection. It works fine but i want to improve it for mobile applications as it is very power consuming by now. When i remove two special lines in my code, the cpu usage of my mobile device (htc one x) is totally okay but then my connection seems to have high ping rates or something like that... Here is a server code snippet where i receive the clients data: while(true) { try { .... BUT: all send comments are received nearly immediately. when i change the code to following: while(true) ... if(sendQueue.peek() != null) { out.writeObject(sendQueue.poll()); } ... the cpu usage is totally okay but i'm getting some laggs.. the commands do not arrive fast enough.. as i said, it works fine (besides cpu usage) if i'm sending data(with that null objects) every while execution. but i'm sure that this is very rough coding style because i'm kind of flooding the network. any hints? what am i doing wrong??   • git global config issue

    Somehow, my global git (msysgit) settings for user.name and user.email (and god knows what else) are set to a recent ex-colleague's details. When I try and change them i get could not commit to u://.gitconfig If I try and create u://.gitconfig through git bash then i get permission denied. C:\Users\<My Username>\ contains no references to git. I've tried uninstalling, searching the registry and my file system for all references to git and I can't find any (windows file search is crap though). What the hell is going on? Why even after reinstalling are this guys details still the global settings??? Thanks

  • NSDictionary causing EXC_BAD_ACCESS

    I am trying to call objectForKey: on an nsdictionary ivar, but I get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS error. The nsdictionary is created using the JSON-framework and then retained. The first time I use it (just after I create it, same run loop) it works perfectly fine, but when I try to access it later nothing works. I am doing this code to try to figure out what is wrong: if (resultsDic == nil) { NSLog(@"results dic is nil."); } if ( [resultsDic respondsToSelector:@selector(objectForKey:)] ) { NSLog(@"resultsDic should respond to objectForKey:"); } The dictionary is never nil, but it always crashes on respondsToSelector. any ideas?

  • Joda Time cannot subtract one hour

    In my android program, I have a spinner that allows the user to select different times. Each selection is processed with Joda time to subtract the minutes. It works fine for minutes 0 to 59 and 61 and greater. However, when 60 minutes is subtracted, the time is not updated, and the original time is shown. How do I get Joda time to subtract 60 minutes?
