  • JAVA. Writing a matrix in a file using column information.

    Hello, everybody! I have a file in which a matrix is stored. This file has a RandomAccessFile type. This matrix is stored by columns. I mean that in an i-th row of this matrix an i-th column (of a real matrix) is stored. There is an example: i-th row: 1 2 3 4 (in the file). That means that the real matrix has an i-th column: (1 2 3 4)(transpose). I need to save this matrix in natural way (by rows) in a new file, which I will then open with FileReader and display with TestArea. DO you know, how to do that? If so, please help =)

    I know how to add it via the context menu, but it never seems to be a permanent option. I would like it to show in all folders without having to continually go back through and add it. How can I make Windows Explorer show file modified date instead of created date? I've looked at this question, so I assume it is the same as going through the context menu seen by right clicking inside the folder.

    How do you create a lookup column to a Document Library that uses the 'Name' of the document as the lookup value? I found a blog post that recommends adding another custom field like "FileName" and then using a item reciever to populate the custom field with the value from the Name field but that seems cheesy.   • I've got to update a column in one SQL table with a counter stored in another table, and update that

    I'm using SQL server 2005 (for testing) & 2007 (for production). I have to add a unique record ID to all the records in my table, in an existing column, using a "last record ID" column from another table. So, I'm going to do some sort of UPDATE of my table, but I have to get the "last record ID" from the other table, increment it, update THAT table and then update my record. Can anyone give me an example of how to do this? Other users may be incrementing the counter also.

  • Sharepoint - how to set permission level to add item but not view?

    I want to allow a certain group of users to add items to a list, but not be able to view all items. This is so I can set up a workflow with certain parts of it private. I thought it'd be possible by defining a new permission level in: http://servername/_layouts/addrole.aspx ('Add a permission level' page) However, when you select the "add items" list permission, "view items" is automatically ticked also. Anyone know a solution to this?

    I know that a primary key must be unique, but is it okay for a primary key to be equal to a different column in the same table by coincidence? For instance, I have 2 tables. One table is called person that holds information about a person (ID, email, telephone, address, name). The other table is staff (ID, pID(person ID), salary, position). In staff the ID column is the primary key and is used to uniquely identify a staff member. The number is from 1 - 100. However, the pID (person ID) may be equal to the ID. For instance the staff ID may be 1 and the pID that it references to may be equal to 1. Is that okay?

  • Two Column Theme, Help, to make both columns seperately Scrollable.

    Hey, I am not sure what to do on this one, I'm not a programmer, but trying to learn CSS as this is how the theme I am using was coded in. I've gotten quite far on my own, but this one stumps me Its two column Theme... As far as I have been able to get, I can use the following: #left { width: 235px; padding: 10px; margin-left: 20px; position: fixed; line-height: 15px; If I change the position to Absolute, The whole page scrolls, If I leave it at Fixed, and add lets say, a Twitter feed, or other type of text that takes me past its reading where you would normally scroll, Its just cut off, cannot get to it, hightlight or scroll.. I've also toyed with the idea, of changing the theme to a 3 column theme, but Again, not a programmer, and i'd be really confused. anyhelp would be great...     Does it make a difference if you do count(*) vs count(column-name) as in these two examples? I have a tendency to always write count(*) because it seems to fit better in my mind with the notion of it being an aggregate function, if that makes sense. But I'm not sure if it's technically best as I tend to see example code written without the * more often than not. count(*): select customerid, count(*), sum(price) from items_ordered group by customerid having count(*) > 1; vs. count(column-name): SELECT customerid, count(customerid), sum(price) FROM items_ordered GROUP BY customerid HAVING count(customerid) > 1;

    Hi, I am generating entity wrappers in VS2010 based on dynamic objects in a CRM system. In addition to the entity code, I want to add an EntityBase of which all entities inherit from. If the file exists in the project from before, it should not be added. I am using an IWizard implementation to give the generator the object names etc. Is it possible in the IWizard implementation to determine whether or not to add an item if it exists in the project from before? How do I get a hold of the project handle and its items in or before the ShouldAddProjectItem method?     Hi. I'm building a webapp that uses jboss-seam with jsf, facelets and rich faces, running on top of jboss AS 5.1. I would like to add a portlet area where I could add my own portlets, but from what I got (reading forums and documentation) I need to be running a portlet container/portal (something like liferay or gatein). But I don't want to be running a portal. I just want some kind of control where I can embed a portlet (something like an iFrame). Is this true or I got it wrong? If I'm wrong, how can I add an area to my webapp where I can add a portlet? Thanks Best regards.
