• Mako templates use old version until I manually update template files

  I periodically get this problem where all of a sudden mako is using old versions of templates, and it's not until I manually go and update the template files that they'll use the current version. I'm using ./manage.py runserver I think it's usually after I update using source control, but it's intermittent, and I can't reliably reproduce the problem.

• Docking *inside* an editor

  I have a document type which has multiple presentations. Say I want to display the document in an RCP editor with a customizable subset of those presentations, in a layout chosen by the user. One option that has come up is docking-like behavior for the panels inside an individual editor, with drag-and-drop, resizing, closing, maybe rollover and floating. Clearly this would need usability testing, but my question here is of feasibility. Are there any existing libraries or e4 plans to support behavior like this?

  I would make to make a small WYSIWYG editor similar to the one used by StackOverflow. Basically, it would have buttons like [quote], and when that button is clicked, [quote] [/quote] should be inserted in the textarea where the cursor is or at the end of all other text. If the [quote][/quote] could be highlighted in some way that would be even more excellent, but its not required. Is there any WYSIWYG editor already available where you can add custom buttons, with custom text being added to the textbox as a result?

I need to be able to extend the Eclipse Java Editor component and add coloured overlays to the code based on pluggable external metrics.   A DNN site version 05.02.00(275) When editing a HTML module the following happens: If I make the changes and save before the cookie "portalaliasid" expires (within 1 minute) all is well. BUT if I stay in the editor for a longer time, say 2 minutes, and posting I end up at the editor again with the old content. All my previous work is lost.   I find the repetition of sets of controls for each of the EditItemTemplate, InsertItemTemplate, and ItemTemplate templates of a FormView to be tedious and risky, in terms duplicating layout and code etc. I would much rather create a xxxDetails user control, and use this in each template, cutting layout and code location down to one location. However, this introduces several complexities for data binding scenarios. Are there any extablished patterns or practice guides for using user controls in these scenarios?

  I am wondering what the idiomatic way to render special language characters is using Handlebars.js templates. When I render the normal html I can use something like the Spanish lowercase e, &#233, and it renders as expected. When I pass the same text as a string to my Handlebars template I just see the characters &#233. I have tried creating a Handlebars helper that used jquery to render the text using .html() then returning the .html() of the tmp element and I get the same results.
