  • Android UnknownHost in asyncTask - loading web page

    - by Sneha
    I followed this tutorial for AsyncTask and getting the following error log: 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): java.net.UnknownHostException: www.google.co.in 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at java.net.InetAddress.lookupHostByName(InetAddress.java:513) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at java.net.InetAddress.getAllByNameImpl(InetAddress.java:278) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at java.net.InetAddress.getAllByName(InetAddress.java:242) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultClientConnectionOperator.openConnection(DefaultClientConnectionOperator.java:136) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at org.apache.http.impl.conn.AbstractPoolEntry.open(AbstractPoolEntry.java:164) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at org.apache.http.impl.conn.AbstractPooledConnAdapter.open(AbstractPooledConnAdapter.java:119) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.execute(DefaultRequestDirector.java:348) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:555) 03-23 11:44:42.936: WARN/System.err(315): at org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:487) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpC lient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:465) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at com.test.async.AsyncTaskExampleActivity$DownloadWebPageTask.doInBackground (AsyncTaskExampleActivity.java:36) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at com.test.async.AsyncTaskExampleActivity$DownloadWebPageTask.doInBackground (AsyncTaskExampleActivity.java:1) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at android.os.AsyncTask$2.call(AsyncTask.java:185) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask$Sync.innerRun(FutureTask.java:305) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.run (FutureTask.java:137) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1068) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:561) 03-23 11:44:42.944: WARN/System.err(315): at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:1096) How do i fix it??   • Why does jquery button take a second to refresh after updating a page using ajax

    - by oo
    when i refresh a part of a webpage that has a jquery ui button, it seems like I have to call: $(":button").button(); again or it shows up as a regular button. Thats fine but when i do this, it still shows up as a regular button for a split second before converting to the styling of the jquery theme. is there anyway to avoid this as it looks a bit messy. NOTE: i noticed that this is for anything that i am theming using jquery ui like autocomplete, button, etc. so its not button specific issue.

  • Trying to switch header image if on home page

    New to PHP, and wondering what is wrong with this code because its definitely not switching the header img. This is what is used to be: <a href="http://www.finegra.in"><img id="logo" alt="fine grain Logo" src="http://www.finegra.in/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/fineGRAINlogoGOOD-WEB.png"> This is what I changed it to: <?php if (is_home()) { ?> <a href="http://www.finegra.in"><img id="logo" alt="fine grain Logo" src="http://www.finegra.in/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/finegrain-logo-sept.png"> </a> <?php } else { ?> <a href="http://www.finegra.in"><img id="logo" alt="fine grain Logo" src="http://www.finegra.in/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/fineGRAINlogoGOOD-WEB.png"> </a> <?php } ?>

  • facebook graph api does not return all feed items on facebook page

    - by Nick Franceschina
    at the time of this question, if you go here: http://www.facebook.com/realplayer you'll see six posts down, I have posted a photo with a message of "#highfive Cincinnati, OH" but if you to either of these: http://graph.facebook.com/realplayer/feed http://graph.facebook.com/realplayer/tagged the JSON that is returned seemingly includes everything on the wall, except for MY post. there is another photo post from someone else down below mine, and it is showing up (and both my photo and his photo are in the "Fan photos" section) obviously, since I can see everything with these links already, it appears that access_token is not a part of the equation... BUT, some more info: if I use an access_token from a session that isn't me, I can't see the post in the JSON if I use an access_token from MY logged in session, then I DO see the post in the JSON so I'm very confused. if everyone in the world can see those posts on the wall without even authenticating, then I expect all of them to come back in the graph api as well. anyone have thoughts on this? I am aware of the "manage_page" permission... which I can use to get a list of accounts and special offline access tokens for those pages... and that's something I can explore... but it seems like alot of work when my post seemingly SHOULD be there in the graph

  • Django admin page dropdowns

    - by zen
    I am building a high school team application using Django. Here is my working models file: class Directory(models.Model): school = models.CharField(max_length=60) website = models.URLField() district = models.SmallIntegerField() conference = models.ForeignKey(Conference) class Conference(models.Model): conference_name = models.CharField(max_length=50) url = models.URLField() class Meta: ordering = ['conference_name'] When I open my admin pages and go to edit a school's conference the drop down looks like this: <select> <option value="1">Conference Object</option> <option value="2">Conference Object</option> <select> How do I replace "Conference Object" with the conference_name?

  • Forward web request for directory index ('/') to an index.htm page in JBoss 4.0.5

    - by The Pretender
    I am using JBoss 4.0.5.GA to run a set of java applications. One of them is a web frontend, using Spring 1.4. URL mappings are configured in a way that 'fake' pages from request URLs are mapped to controllers. That means that when someone requests /index.htm, there's no actual 'index.htm' on disk, and that request maps to a specific conroller which then renders a jsp view. So the problem is as follows: I need to tell JBoss to somehow forward all requests for directory indices to corresponding 'index.htm' URLs like so: / ? /index.htm; /news/ ? /news/index.htm; /foo/bar/baz/ ? /foo/bar/baz/index.htm and so on. I can't use Tomcat's welcome-file-list feature because it looks for those files on disk, while all 'index.htm's are fake and don't actually exist on disk.

  • Two pass JSP page rendering

    - by dotsid
    Suppose an example. I have following interface: public interface DataSource<T> { Future<T> fetch(); } This datasource can do asynchronous data fetching. And we have following tag for using datasource in JSP: <html> <d:fetch from="${orderDS}" var="orders"> <c:foreach in="${orders}" var="order"> <div class="order"> <c:out value="${order.title}" /> </div> </c:foreach> </d:fetch> </html> So, what I want? I want JSP rendering engine to call my custom tag (FetchTag in this example) twice. On first call FetchTag will do DataSource.fetch() call and save Future locally as a object field. On second call FetchTag do Future.get() call and will be blocked until data becomes available. Is there any way to do such a thing?

  • Jquery code breaks page Javascript

    - by Graham
    I required a function to remove URLs from <a> divs found within <div class="rj_insertcode">. Not being familiar with with direction to tackle this, I eventually mustered up the following Jquery code: <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <script src="jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('div.rj_insertcode a').each(function() { $(this).replaceWith($(this).html()); }); }); </script> </head> My site uses Joomla CMS and I was able to add the above script to the bottom of the template index.php. It works quite well and removes the links generated between the defined tags. My problem: Pages that also include JavaScript do not operate correctly. JavaScript appears to be disabled or not functioning. What can I change to ensure JavaScript still operates correctly, or is there another method I could adopt?

  • Open a file:// protocol with UNC paths in HTML page

    - by ace
    Hi - I'm trying to open a file located on a networkshare by giving the anchor tag path = file://///servername/folder/file.docx This works in IE8 and i'm able to open the file in word, however in Firefox nothing happens. I believe it's due to some secruity settings in Firefox. I tried about:config and turning off the checkloaduri value. But it didnt solve the problem. Does anyone know how I can make this work in both IE and Firefox.

  • How to print each object in a collection in a separate page in Silverlight

    - by Ash
    I would like to know if its possible to print each object in a collection in separate pages using Silverlight printing API. Suppose I have a class Label public class Label { public string Address { get; set; } public string Country { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } public string Town { get; set; } } I can use print API and print like this. private PrintDocument pd; private void PrintButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { pd.Print("Test Print"); } private void pd_PrintPage(object sender, PrintPageEventArgs e) { Label labelToPrint = new Label() { Name = "Fake Name", Address = "Fake Address", Country = "Fake Country", Town = "Town" }; var printpage = new LabelPrint(); printpage.DataContext = new LabelPrintViewModel(labelToPrint); e.PageVisual = printpage; } LabelPrint Xaml <StackPanel x:Name="LayoutRoot" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Center"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Name}" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Address}" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Town}" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Country}" /> </StackPanel> Now, say I've a collection of Label objects, List<Label> labels = new List<Label>() { labelToPrint, labelToPrint, labelToPrint, labelToPrint }; How can I print each object in the list in separate pages ? Thanks for any suggestions ..

  • GDI: Dynamical Multiple Graphics in a page?

    - by SirLenz0rlot
    Hi all, I'm quite new to drawing shapes, graphics, bitmaps etc. I googled for a few days,but still havent got a real clue what to do, so please help me: I want to draw a floorplan with certain objects(represented as circles) moving on it. When I click on a object, it needs to show something. So far, I ve been able to draw some circles on a graphic and been able to move the dots by clearing the graphic every time. Ofcourse, this isnt a real solution, since I cant keep track of the different objects on the floorplan (which i need for my clickevent and movings). I hope I explained my problem ok here. This is the (stripped version of the) sourcecode that gets called every second: (dev (of type Device) is the object i want to draw) Graphics gfx = FloorplanTabPage.CreateGraphics(); gfx.Clear(Color.White); foreach (Device dev in _deviceList) { Pen myPen = new Pen(Color.Black) { Width = 10 }; dev.InRoom != null) { myPen.Color = Color.DarkOrchid; int x = dev.InRoom.XPos + (dev.InRoom.Width / 2) - 5; int y = (dev.InRoom.YPos + (dev.InRoom.Height / 2) - 5; if (dev.ToRoom != null) { x = (x + (dev.ToRoom.XPos + (dev.ToRoom.Width / 2)) / 2; y = (y + (dev.ToRoom.YPos + (dev.ToRoom.Height / 2)) / 2; } gfx.DrawEllipse(myPen, x, y, 10, 10); gfx.DrawString(dev.Name, new Font("Arial", 10), Brushes.Purple, x, y - 15); } }

  • Fancy Box to Popup an HTML Page from One List Item in an Unordered List

    - by nicorellius
    I have an unordered list: <ul> <li><a id="fancy_popup" href="popup.html" class="fancybox"> Popup HTML Link</a></li> <li><a href="other.html">Other HTML Link</a></li> <li><a href="other.html">Other HTML Link</a></li> </ul> And I have a jQuery script: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#fancy_popup").fancybox({ transitionIn : 'elastic', transitionOut : 'elastic', easingIn : 'easeInSine', easingOut : 'easeOutSine', speedIn : 400, speedOut : 200, titlePosition : 'inside', titleFormat : 'document.write("Fancy Box Title");', cyclic : true }); }); </script> This jQuery Fancy Box script works elsewhere, with a div that has the id="fancy_popup" so I thought why not add it to the anchor directly in this case... I'm trying to figure out how to apply Fancy Box so that when someone clicks the Popup HTML link above, a Fancy Box window pops up, according to the script. I've tried variations with placing the id on the li, on the ul and manipulating the script for these selectors to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

  • ASP.NET Compiles on page load, but not on Ctrl+Shift+B

    - by Steve Syfuhs
    during debug in cassini the code runs fine, but when I explictly build it, the compile breaks on an object saying it can't find the reference. During a breakpoint shows the proper reference to the object, and I can view the debug intellisense. The code itself is simple using CFTW.Controls; ... controls_LatestPresentations c = LoadControl("~/controls/LatestPresentations.ascx") as controls_LatestPresentations; c.loadContent(); return RenderControl(c); The control is a simple user control, with the namespace CFTW.Controls. The calling code is in a webcontrol, which lives in the same folder. I even tried adding the calling code to the same namespace.

  • Wordpress page grouping

    - by Ragnar
    Is there any way to group/folder my pages in Wordpress. Pages as in pages, not posts. In case I'm using it as a CMS and have, say, 200 pages. 10 main pages and the rest are all sub-pages. It'd be really inconvenient to see all the pages as a one huge lists. I know I could use posts and categories, as I won't be needing the blog functionality anyway, and even if I did need it, I could make it work anyway. Thing is, I'd lose a bit functionality this way and it's unfortunately not an option for me. I have looked around and Googled but so far with no results. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has come to wonder about that.

  • Cakephp, Route old google search results to new home page

    - by ion
    Hi there, I have created a new website for a company and I would like all the previous search engine results to be redirected. Since there were quite a few pages and most of them where using an id I would like to use something generic instead of re-routing all the old pages. My first thought was to do that: Router::connect('/*', array('controller' => 'pages', 'action' => 'display', 'home')); And put that at the very end of the routes.php file [since it is prioritized] so that all requests not validating with previous route actions would return true with this one and redirect to homepage. However this does not work. I'm pasting my routes.php file [since it is small] hoping that someone could give me a hint: Router::connect('/', array('controller' => 'pages', 'action' => 'display', 'home')); Router::connect('/company/*', array('controller' => 'articles', 'action' => 'view')); Router::connect('/contact/*', array('controller' => 'contacts', 'action' => 'view')); Router::connect('/lang/*', array('controller' => 'p28n', 'action' => 'change')); Router::connect('/eng/*', array('controller' => 'p28n', 'action' => 'shuntRequest', 'lang' => 'eng')); Router::connect('/gre/*', array('controller' => 'p28n', 'action' => 'shuntRequest', 'lang' => 'gre')); Router::parseExtensions('xml');
