    I loaded a plist from the UITable, but there is something wrong. my plist file is some data like that: 3 3uyyhuhu34 ..... 5 5uyyhuhu34 ..... 11 11uyyhuhu34 ..... I found that the list is sorted from 11, then 3, after that is 5. But I want to sorted from 3, 5 to 11. What can I do to change the behaviors? thx

  • What is a good way for a custom accessory view in a UITableViewCell to message the table view contro

    Hi Everyone, I am working on adding a custom accessory view, (a button) to a UITableViewCell, and I need it to tell the table view when it is touched, but I can't figure out how to communicate to the table view what button was pressed. Ideally I'd like to somehow call a function like this: [controller tableView:view didSelectCustomButtonAtIndexPath:indexPath usingCell:self]; when my custom view button is pressed. Sorry if this is a bit vague, I'm not really sure how to explain this well. I am basically looking for how to mimic the implementation for tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: without having to subclass UITableViewCell. Thanks for any help.

    Activity 1: Intent i = new Intent(this, Activity2.class); CharSequence btText = btButton.getText(); i.putExtra(BUTTON_TEXT, btText); startActivityForResult(i, ACTIVITY_SETTINGS); Activity 2: in onCreate: Bundle extras = getIntent().getExtras(); if (extras != null) { mButtonText = extras.getCharSequence(Activity1.BUTTON_TEXT); } The resulting CharSequence is not what was passed, it's something like "(id=830066506776)" instead. This works: CharSequence test2 = getIntent().getCharSequenceExtra(Activity1.BUTTON_TEXT); What is wrong with getExtras approach? This is what they used in Notepadv3 example. This is for Android 2.1.     Hello all, First of all, I'd like to thank the good people who helped me around on this site. Thanks. I'm trying to detect a failed authentication attempt in my app... I'm using the didReceiveAuthenticationChallenge method, and the checking if [challenge previousFailureCount] is equal to 0. The problem is that it's always stays on zero, even if the username and password that I send with the credentials are incorrect. I couldn't find any info about this kind of issue, any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

  • Is there a way to update a database when installing/upgrading an app?

    I have a main application, and a bunch of sub-applications (they are separate apps, which do not appear on the android home dashboard). I was planning on having a SQLite DB which the main app maintains, and get a list of available sub-apps from. Is there a way to update this main database as the user installs the sub-apps? Two alternative I was thinking of include: User installs the sub-apps via the main app, which would then update the DB. Rather than use the DB to find all installed sub-apps, have each sub-app declare a category, and use intents to query for all applications which match that query (is this even possible? if so, advice is welcomed).     Hi, On view in IB I have numerous items (including view itself). ONLY one item has tag 0, yet following line works for ANY UITextBox other then the one with tag 0. Note that only ONE UITextBox has tag 0, why: (UITextField *) [self.view viewWithTag:0]).text = @"foo"; Interesting that when triggered event received for the element with tag 0, I can get value of Tag 0 with no problem. Is there a limitation to look for tag 0 elements?

  • Iphone SDK- How to insert a banner in my app

    I have a tableview that my app shows when it loads, I would like to somehow put a banner at the bottom that if connceted to the internet will check my server for any new image files and if there are it will replace the current one and if not it will just leave it. That way I can constantly display messages to my users - sort of like in Doodle Jump. How could I achieve this? Thanks

    Hi, I have a ListView. I populate it with 8 items, that's all that fits vertically on the G1. Some of my users are saying the Droid has a taller screen height, and so I can probably add one or two more items to the ListView to take up the additional space provided. How could I measure the available height the screen offers at startup, before the UI is displayed? If I see the height can fit more than 8 items, I'd like to add one or two more rows, Thanks

    Hi all, After I quit simulator and click build the app from XCode, the iPhone Simulator loading and my app will be install and run. But the app just show only Default image (finish the applicationDidFinishLaunching method - I logs it) and do nothing. I can't do anything in Simulator, event click the "Home" button of Simulator. But the other time, when Simulator already running, I select the "Build" button in XCode and everything is fine. Can you tell me why and how does this issue effect my app when I build it with real device? Thanks a lot!

  • How do you get and set a class property across multiple functions in Objective-C?

    Following up on this question about sharing objects between classes, I now need to figure out how to share the objects across various functions in a class. First, the setup: In my App Delegate I load menu information from JSON into a NSMutableDictionary and message that through to a view controller using a function called initWithData. I need to use this dictionary to populate a new Table View, which has methods like numberOfRowsInSection and cellForRowAtIndexPath. I'd like to use the dictionary count to return numberOfRowsInSection and info in the dictionary to populate each cell. Unfortunately, my code never gets beyond the init stage and the dictionary is empty so numberOfRowsInSection always returns zero. I thought I could create a class property, synthesize it and then set it. But it doesn't seem to want to retain the property's value. What am I doing wrong here?     I'm looking to programatically make phone call reminders to customers based upon their opt-in requests. I am NOT a telemarketer. I need to make a phone call, and play a message. I need to leave a message after the beep if an answering machine or voicemail is detected. I need to know if the message was successfully delivered. Ideally, I could offer the user feedback by pressing a button and recording their selection. I prefer Windows and .NET but would consider anything. What do you suggest?
