• User Defined Class as a Template Parameter

  Hi, I' m implementing a custom STL map. I need to make sure that any data type (basic or user defined) key will work with it. I declared the Map class as a template which has two parameters for the key and the value. My question is if I need to use a string as the key type, how can I overload the < and operators for string type keys only?? In template specialization we have to specialize the whole class with the type we need as I understand it. Is there any way I can do this in a better way?? What if I add a separate Key class and use it as the template type for Key? Thank You!!

• EPOC EMOTIV cognitive suite is user dependent or independent

  After working a bit with EPOC EMOTIV, i suspect that its cognitive suite is user dependent, though its other suites are not and work absolutely well in all cases. It's use in cognitive area is wide and many such applications have also been developed. BCI CAD 3D geometry shapes are also a good example. But the main issue i want to highlight is that is it's cognitive suite depends on a particular set of data( same set always). I want to work more deeper with cognitive suite so any help(suggestions, research papers, EEG data processing), anything which can be a great source to deal with. Thanks!

  Hi Everyone, I'm using a PHP script to stream a live video (i.e. a file which never ends) from a remote source. The output is viewed in VLC, not a web browser. I need to keep a count of the number of bytes transferred.   My userscript has the following code var scrpt=document.getElementsByTagName('script'); i included this to know the number of scripts of each page i access. This works fine with some websites but for some sites i am not getting all the scripts present. I installed the user script in both firefox and chrome the issue is the number of scripts for the same site is different in both browsers. For example when i access this link Help extracting text from html tag with Java and Regex i am getting the number of scripts in firefox as:17 and in chrome as:15 but when i view the page source there are 22 script tags Please help me to slove the problem. I even tried document.scripts but still i get the same result.

• Running Services.msc as a different User C#

  Hi, I have a requirement to create a simple windows forms application that allows an admin user to manage the Services on remote servers. We don't want to give the admins the usernames and passwords to the servers so these will be encrypted and stored in a database. My question is whether or not it is possible to spawn a Services.msc window when impersonating one of the users stored within the database? I have looked at the ProcessStartInfo class but because Services.msc is not an executable it does not seem to like executing this. Any ideas on a simple way of doing the actual impersonation and loading of Services.msc - say off a button click? Thanks

• Can't control connection bit rate using iwconfig with Atheros TL-WN821N (AR7010)

  I'm trying to reduce the connection bit rate on my Atheros TP-Link TL-WN821N v3 usb wifi adapter due to frequent instability issues (reported connection speed goes down to 1Mb/s and I have to physically reconnect the adapter to regain a connection). I know this is a common problem with this device, and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it, including using drivers from linux-backports; compiling and installing a custom firmware (following instructions on https://wiki.debian.org/ath9k_htc#fw-free) and (as a last resort) using ndiswrapper. When using ndiswrapper, the wifi adapter is stable and operates in g mode at 54Mb/s (whilst when using the default ath9k_htc module, the adapter connects in n mode and the bit rate fluctuates constantly). Unfortunately, with this setup I have to run my processor using only one core, since using SMP with ndiswrapper causes a kernel oops on my system. So I want to lock my bit rate to 54Mb/s (or less, if need be) for connection stability, using the ath9k_htc module. I've tried 'sudo iwconfig wlan0 rate 54M'; the command runs with no error but when I check the bit rate with 'sudo iwlist wlan0 bitrate' the command returns: wlan0 unknown bit-rate information. Current Bit Rate:78 Mb/s Any ideas? Here's some info (hopefully relevant) on my setup: Xubuntu (12.04.3) 64bit (kernel 3.2.0-55.85-generic) using Network Manager. • Get rid of all user data of Android application after bigger update

  Hi, I completely revamped an app. Tested it for a while on my device and emulator. The app worked fine. However when I updated the app through the Android market, my users experienced crashes. Since there is no way to properly debug this procedure I asume the crash is caused by old data which is not being removed from the device (probably from the onsavedstate bundle?!).   Are there any good resources for learning C++ that a C# user could use, which don't require knowledge of C? I have quite a good knowledge of C# via courses in my University's game development program (in a 300 level course right now) but now I need to use C++ for a project. I would use a beginner tutorial but they are so hard for me to follow and learn the basic syntax because they start so slowly. I found a few of tutorials for switching from C++ to C#, but none in the other direction. I do have a little bit of Objective C practice from iPhone programming as well.

  Hi, I'm just throwing this out there as I'm plodding my way through creating a Member Photo album on a site i'm working on, where they can login and upload their photos to a personal gallery. I want this to be nice and lightweight, but still slick and "modern" with a modal based interface for the user. I'm surprised though that there is seemingly nothing open source out there which fits the bill - I've done a few searches on Google to no avail and can't seem to find anything. Lots of bloated photo galleries out there but nothing looks like it has been developed using more recent technologies. Is anyone aware of anything which might suit what I'm looking for? I'm fully prepared to try and code it myself but I'd be delighted if I didn't have to! Pure laziness you might say, but there's no point reinventing the wheel.

  I don't know how to search about this so I'm kinda lost (the two topics I saw here were closed). I have a news website and I want to warn the user when a new data is inserted on the database. I want to do that like here on StackOverflow where we are warned without reloading the page or like in facebook where you are warned about new messages/notifications without reloading. Which is the best way to do that? Is it some kind of listener with a timeout that is constantly checking the database? It doesn't sounds efficient... Thanks in advance.

  I've inherited a sharepoint wss 3.0 farm that is pulling users from 2 different domains, say domainA and domainB. So if I go into Add User and Browse, and type Smith, it is coming up with domainA\jsmith and domainB\jsmith. The company has moved away from domainA and uses only domainB now. So I want to remove domainA from the sharepoint configuration. I don't need to migrate existing sharepoint users, I just want for the domainA users to stop showing up when new users are added. I've been through every page I can find in Central Administration and I don't see where the names of the domain controller(s) are specified. It is using windows auth / NTLM.

• Hudson build fails when a user logs out of RDP session

  We are using Hudson to build mixed C++/Java projects with an Ant script. It is running in Tomcat 6, on a Win XP virtual machine. I have noticed recently that when a user logs off the machine (from a remote desktop session), builds that are currently running tend to suddenly fail without an error message. Has anyone encountered anything similar or have an idea what might be causing this effect? I can post additional information about our setup if needed, I'm just not sure what's relevant in this case.

  My application makes use of the sfGuardUser plugin. One of my tables has a relation onto the sf_guard_user table so there is a corresponding setSfGuardUser() function in the base model. From Actions.class.php, I am attempting to set the current user into the object using this function, (Which I then save in the database). my attempt: ->setSfGuardUser($this->getUser()); //called from inside Actions.class.php this throws an error: Couldn't call Doctrine_Core::set(), second argument should be an instance of Doctrine_Record or Doctrine_Null when setting one-to-one references. ...# at Doctrine_Record->coreSetRelated('sfGuardUser', object('myUser')) Which makes me think that getUser() is not returning a sfGuardUser object, though I don't know how to check this. Can anyone offer any insight?

I want to provide users with the best experience on my site and am implementing a tags system. I don't care about search engines or any of that. I just care about my users. Does any one have any advice about things that have failed or succeeded when they allowed users to tag things? Does any one know some good resources about the methodologies of user tagging? Does any one know some good resources about implementing a tags system from a programming perspective, database structures, theories, etc ? • SQL query: Number of comments posted in last 24 hours by people a user is following

  I've got a site where users follow users they like and can read their latest updates. I'd like to show my users a simple count of how many comments the people they follow have posted in the last 24 hours. I'm having trouble figuring out the query. I have two tables. comment -cid (comment id) -timestamp -uid (id of person who posted the comment) -comment (content of the comment) user_relationships -requester_id (id of the user who followed the person) -requestee_id (id of the person who was followed) In plain english, I think the query is something like this: COUNT the cid.comment from the comments table where uid.comment is equal to requestee_id.user_relationships associated with requester_id.user_relationships value of X. I need to get all the UIDs of people being followed by a given UID from the user_relationship table. Then count up how many comments those people have posted in the last 24 hours and spit that number out. What would this query look like?

  Scenario: I have a fairly generic table (Data), that has an identity column. The data in this table is grouped (lets say by city). The users need an identifier in order for printing on paper forms, etc. The users can only access their cites data, so if they use the identity column for this purpose they will see odd numbers (e.g. a 'New York' user might see 1,37,2028... as the listed keys. Idealy they would see 1,2,3... (or something similar) The problem of course is concurrency, this being a web application you can't just have something like: UserId = Select Count(*)+1 from Data Where City='New York' Has anyone come up with any cunning ways around this problem?

• In Rails, what could cause a user to have another user's session?

  I have a Rails application using with an authentication system using Restful Authentication without any modification. Users have reported finding themselves logged in as the wrong user. In at least one case it was on their very first page view, never having logged in before. Is it possible their session ids are getting mixed up? Would switching to CookieStore make it impossible for this to happen since no session data is stored on the server this way? I suspect the problem is related to Passenger but I don't know where to start debugging this. Its only happened about 4 times in several months of being live so its virtually impossible to reproduce.
