  • How can I programmatically position a view using relative points?

    - by Steve Madsen
    What is the best way to position a view relative to the size of its superview, when the bounds of the superview are not yet known? I am trying to avoid hard-coding coordinates if it is at all possible. Perhaps this is silly, and if so, that's a perfectly acceptable answer. I've run into this many times when working with custom UI. The most recent example is that I'm trying to replace the UINavigationItem plain-text title with a custom view. I want that view to fill the superview, but in addition, I want a UIActivityIndicatorView on the right side, inset about 2 pixels and centered vertically. Here's the code: - (void) viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; customTitleView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero]; customTitleView.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth; titleLabel = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero]; titleLabel.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth; titleLabel.lineBreakMode = UILineBreakModeWordWrap; titleLabel.numberOfLines = 2; titleLabel.minimumFontSize = 11.0; titleLabel.font = [UIFont systemFontOfSize:17.0]; titleLabel.adjustsFontSizeToFitWidth = YES; [customTitleView addSubview:titleLabel]; spinnerView = [[UIActivityIndicatorView alloc] initWithActivityIndicatorStyle:UIActivityIndicatorViewStyleWhite]; spinnerView.center = CGPointMake(customTitleView.bounds.size.width - (spinnerView.bounds.size.width / 2) - 2, customTitleView.bounds.size.height / 2); spinnerView.hidesWhenStopped = YES; [customTitleView addSubview:spinnerView]; self.navigationItem.titleView = customTitleView; [customTitleView release]; } Here's my problem: at the time that this code runs, customTitleView.bounds is still zeroes. The auto-resizing mask hasn't had a chance to do its thing yet, but I very much want those values so that I can compute the relative positions of other sub-views (here, the activity indicator). Is this possible without being ugly?

  • validation before ajax form submission

    - by ZX12R
    How do i introduce validation before remote_form_for submits? I have javascript function called validateForm(). I am able to call it before the AJAX request process. I tried to use return false and event.preventDefault. But there seems to be no effect. Here is what my code looks like <% remote_form_for :customer, :update =>"uxScreenLoaderDiv", :url => {:action => "login", :controller => "site"}, :html => {:id => "uxLoginForm"}, :onsubmit => "validateForm(event)" do |f| %> User name : <%= f.text_field "uxUserName", :class => "TextBox", :style => "width:100px;" %>&nbsp;* &nbsp;Password : <%= f.password_field "uxPassword", :class => "TextBox", :style => "width:100px;" %>&nbsp;* <%= f.submit "Go!", :class => "Button-Simple", :id => "uxSubmitButton" %> <% end %> the javascript function is simple as follows function validateForm(event){ return false; //event.preventDefault(); }

  • Lite-Javascript Gallery - Can I position the img absolutely in relationship to the lis?

    - by blackessej
    I have a lite-javascript run image gallery. The javascript grabs each element in the list and places it as a background in the parent element. Then the CSS styles the thumbnails as small blocks with a defined height/width. A click-event for each object toggles it’s child’s element’s visibility and adds an “active” class name to the . Using CSS, I'm trying to place the absolutely to make it appear at the same position for each thumb, but it's moving in relation to the thumbs. Here's the CSS: #jgal li { background-position:50% 50%; background-repeat:no-repeat; border:solid #999 4px; cursor:pointer; display:block; float:left; height:60px; width:60px; margin-bottom:14px; margin-right:14px; opacity:0.5; } #jgal li img { position:absolute; top:0px; left:210px; display:none; } And the site: http://www.erisdesigns.net Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Make floating element "maximally wide"

    - by bobobobo
    I have some floating elements on a page. What I want is the div that is floated left to be "maximally wide" so that it is as wide as it possibly can be without causing the red div ("I go at the right") to spill over onto the next line. An example is here: The width:100%; doesn't produce the desired effect! ** I don't want the green element ("I want to be as wide as possible") to go "under" the red element. Its very important that they both stay separate i.e. .. I think they must both be floated! <div class="container"> <div class="a1">i go at the right</div> <div class="a2">i want to be as wide as possible,</div> <div class="clear"></div> </div> <style> div { border: solid 2px #000; background-color: #eee; margin: 8px; padding: 8px; } div.a1 { float:right; background-color: #a00; border: solid 2px #f00; margin: 12px; padding: 6px; } div.a2 { float: left; /*width: 100%;*/ /*this doens't produce desired effect!*/ background-color: #0b0; border: solid 2px #0f0; margin: 12px; padding: 14px; } .clear { border: none; padding: 0 ; margin: 0; clear:both; } </style>

  • Why pseudo-elements :before and :after appear in front of my DIV element and not behind?

    - by Dim13i
    I have a DIV element with this given class: .slideshow { background: white; width: 700px; height: 300px; padding:10px; margin: 0 auto; position: relative; box-shadow: 0px 0px 5px grey, 0px 10px 20px rgba(0,0,0,.1) inset; } I define those two pseudo-elements (:before and :after): .slideshow:before, .slideshow:after { content: " "; background: green; width: 50%; height: 50%; position: absolute; z-index: -10; } My problem is that those two pseudo-elements appear in front of my DIV and not behind. Is there any specific reason for this behaviour? Here is an example: EXAMPLE The Javascript part is a bit messy but i'm still working on it. Also I've noticed that if I delete all the JS part I don't have anymore this problem, but I don't think there is anything in the code that should modify the slideshow DIV SOLVED: The problem is in the javascript part where I have: $('.slideshow').css('-webkit-transform', 'rotate(0deg)'); Removing this line solved the problem. I guess that pseudo-elements :before and :after are not compatible with the property transform.

  • HTML email image inverts on link click Outlook 07/10/13

    - by Matt Maclennan
    I'm having an issue on a HTML email in Word rendered Outlooks (2007, 2010, 2013) where I click an image link, and when the mouse is clicked, the image inverts... Here is the code below... <td align="left" width="360" valign="top" style="mso-table-lspace: 0pt; mso-table-rspace: 0pt; border-collapse: collapse;" class="hide"> <a href="#" target="_blank"> <img src="test.jpg" width="360" height="528" alt="alt tag" style="display:block;" class="img_mob centertable" border="0" align="left"> </a> </td> Here is a comparison on the image clicked/not clicked... I have tried putting a text-decoration: none on the link. All the links are styled inline as well. This is the only image that it is having this issue on the email, so tried re-saving the image with no luck. The image is saved as a JPEG and SRGB from a Photoshop PSD. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Updating Embedded Video in Firefox

    - by Slevin
    I am working on a Videos page where my intention is to load a video with the page but by clicking a link, the original video will be updated and replaced with the corresponding video. For instance, if video1 loads with the page and the user clicks to view video2, the original div's innerHTML holding video1 is updated to play video2. Now, I have works great in IE and Chrome but nothing loads at all in Firefox. Below are some snippets of my code. Any idea how to load these videos in a manner that Firefox supports? Javascript Function function updateVideo(arraynum) { var arraynum; var vidId = document.anchors(arraynum).name; document.getElementById("movieDiv").innerHTML = "<object width='340' height='300'><param name='movie' value='http://www.youtube.com/v/" + vidId + "&h1=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b'></param><param name='wmode' value='opaque'></param><embed src='http://www.youtube.com/v/" + vidId + "&h1=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' wmode='opaque' width='340' height='300'></embed></object>"; Html <div id = "movieDiv"> </div> Links <a name="-MQf_Ol00nk" href = "#" onclick="updateVideo(4)"><img src="../images/content/videos/kaleidoscope/2010/May/Arts-and-Events.jpg" border = "0"></a> Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. And on a smaller note, every time a link in clicked in IE, a '#' is added into the title bar. So clicking three or four videos would result in the page title being followed up with three or four # signs.

  • How to use clearInterval() and then make changes to the DOM?

    - by George D.
    I have this code and the problem I have is that I want to stop the loop and then replace the text 'Done!' that comes from the sms-loader.php script with the "textnew" string. Problem is that the loop occurs one more time so the text in the div.checkstatus field is again replaced by the calling php script. The strange thing is that I see the log message and again I get a new (and final) request, although the ordering is the opposite (first stop then replace text()) in my script. I need to understand why this is happening. $(document).ready(function() { var interval = ""; $('.checkstatus').each(function(){ var msgid = $(this).data('msg') $this = $(this), hid = $this.data('history'), textnew = '<a href="sms-dstatus.php?id='+msgid+'&sid=' +hid+ '&amp;keepThis=true&amp;TB_iframe=true&amp;height=430&amp;width=770" title="Delivery Status" class="thickbox"><img src="../template/icons/supermini/chart_curve.png" alt="status" width="16" height="16" /></a>'; interval = setInterval(function() { $this.load('../pages/sms-loader.php?id='+msgid); // stop the loop if($this.text()=='Done!'){ // stop it clearInterval(interval); console.log(textnew); this.html(textnew); /// this line is the problem } }, 5000); // 5 secs }); });

  • How can I overlay a watermark on an already resampled image in PHP (using GD) ?

    - by Rick
    Here's my current code: define('IMG_WIDTH', (isset ($_GET['width'])) ? (int) $_GET['width'] : 99); define('IMG_HEIGHT', (isset ($_GET['height'])) ? (int) $_GET['height'] : 75); $image = imagecreatefromjpeg($_GET['image']); $origWidth = imagesx($image); $origHeight = imagesy($image); $croppedThumb = imagecreatetruecolor(IMG_WIDTH, IMG_HEIGHT); if ($origWidth > $origHeight) { $leftOffset = ($origWidth - $origHeight) / 2; imagecopyresampled($croppedThumb, $image, 0, 0, $leftOffset, 0, IMG_WIDTH, IMG_HEIGHT, $origHeight, $origHeight); } else { $topOffset = ($origHeight - $origWidth) / 2; imagecopyresampled($croppedThumb, $image, 0, 0, 0, $topOffset, IMG_WIDTH, IMG_HEIGHT, $origWidth, $origWidth); } It basically takes an image and re-sizes it to create a thumbnail. It works quite nicely. What I would like to do now is add a watermark to the bottom right corner. I've seen the imagecopymerge function used for this... However, that doesn't seem to allow me to supply a resampled image as the source. How can I take my already modified image and add a watermark? :/ I've thought of saving the image to /tmp and then unlink()'ing it once I've added the watermark but that seems like a bit of a mess...

  • How To Read A Remote Text File

    - by XcodeDev
    Hi, I would like to read a remote text file called posts.txt on my website. An example of the insides of the posts.txt file would be this: <div style="width : 300px; position : relative"><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="6"><b>2</b></font><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="4"><i> scored by iSDK</i></font><br><img src="Bar.png" /></div><div style="width : 300px; position : relative"><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="6"><b>2</b></font><font face="helvetica, geneva, sans serif" size="4"><i> scored by martin</i></font><br><img src="Bar.png" /></div> What I wanted to know is how can I get the score, and scored by text from the .txt file? The score is (in this case) the: <b>2</b>, and the scored by text in this case would be: "scored by iSDK". Any code telling me how to do this is twice as helpful! Thanks in advanced XcodeDev

  • Loading more than 10 images on iPhone??

    - by SeniorLee
    I'm trying to add more than 10 pictures on ScrollView. NSUInteger i; for (i = 1; i <= numberOfImage; i++) { NSString *imageName = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"d%dimage%d.png", imageSection, i]; UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:imageName]; UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; // setup each frame to a default height and width, it will be properly placed when we call "updateScrollList" CGRect rect = imageView.frame; rect.size.height = kScrollObjHeight; rect.size.width = kScrollObjWidth; imageView.frame = rect; imageView.tag = i; // tag our images for later use when we place them in serial fashion [scrollView addSubview:imageView]; [imageView release]; } This code is from Apple example and it works fine. But if the variable 'i' is bigger than 10, 'UIImage *image' is empty. The imageName seems to correct. But I don't know why it does not load image. Does anybody sees the problem?? And one more thing. If I do like that, does iOS controls memory automatically? I mean it's kind of wasting memory if all (more than 10) images are loaded on memory even they are not displayed. I've heard that iOS loads images only displayed on screen and free images those are not displayed. Is that right? Thanks for reading.

  • Get Highest Res Favicon

    - by Jeremy
    I'm making a website that needs to dynamically obtain the favicon of sites upon request. I've found a few api's that can accomplish this fairly well, and so far I'm liking http://www.fvicon.com/. The final image for my website will be 64x64px, and some websites such as Google and Wordpress have nice images of this size that are easily retrieved via this api. Though, of course, most websites only have a 16x16 favicon image and scaling that image to 64x64 has very bad quality loss. Examples: (high res) http://a.fvicon.com/wordpress.com?format=png&width=64&height=64 (low res) http://a.fvicon.com/yahoo.com?format=png&width=64&height=64 Keeping this in mind, I'm planning on somehow determining whether a high-res image is available and, if so, the website will use this image. If not, I want to use a pre-made 64x64 icon with the smaller icon layered over it. What I'm having trouble with is determining if there is a high res favicon available or not. Also, I'm curious if there's a better approach to this situation. I'd rather not use smaller images (64x64 works out really well for this project). The lowest res I'm willing to drop to is 48x48 but even then there will be a significant quality loss for scaling up 16x16 favicons. Any ideas? If you need any more information I will gladly provide it. Thank you!

  • HTML Double Click Selection Oddity

    - by Aren B
    I didn't post this on DocType because it's not really a design thing, the visual representation isn't my problem, the behaviour is. I'm sorry if this is misplaced but I don't feel it's a designer issue. The following DOM: <ul style="overflow: hidden;"> <li style="float: left;"><strong>SKU:</strong>123123</li> <li style="float: left;"><strong>ILC:</strong>asdasdasdasd</li> </ul> Or <div style="overflow: hidden;"> <div style="float: left; width: 49%"><strong>SKU:</strong>123123</div> <div style="margin-left: 50%; width: auto;"><strong>ILC:</strong>asdasdasdasd</div> </div> Or <p> <span><strong>SKU:</strong>123123</span> <span><strong>ILC:</strong>asdasdasdasd</span> </p> All present me an odd problem in IE 6 IE 7 Firefox 3.x Chrome But not in IE 8 When you double click '123123' after 'SKU:', it selects '123123' AND 'ILC:' from the next dom element. Take any text on this page (here in SO), double click a word, it only selects THAT WORD, even in the middle of a paragraph. These examples have dom elements closing them, anyone know why this is happening. My fellow employees use the 'double click' mechanism to select the relevant product ID's to do their job, and this dosen't make sense to me what soever.

  • How to zoom IFRAME content only without using a frame set?

    - by Baskaran
    I need to zoom frame content only. Here in my web page I used zoom: 0.75; height: 520px; width: 800px;. If I increase the zoom value it means that the frame size will be increased. <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE> New Document </TITLE> <STYLE> #frame { width: 800px; height: 520px; border: 1px solid black; } #frame { zoom: 0.75; -moz-transform: scale(0.75); -moz-transform-origin: 0 0; } </STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY> <IFRAME id="frame" src="http://www.google.com"></IFRAME> </BODY> </HTML> In the above sample HTML page I want to zoom the content of the IFRAME without changing the size of that IFRAME.

  • jQuery select image in div if image parent does't have a certain class.

    - by Alex
    Wordpress wraps images with captions in a div with a class of .wp-caption. I'm looking for a way to select images that don't have this div so I can wrap them in different div. (to keep a consistent border around all the images) <div class="blog-post-content"> <div id="attachment_220" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"> <a href="/somewhere/"><img class="size-medium wp-image-220" src="/path/to/image" alt="" width="300" height="280" /></a> <p class="wp-caption-text">Caption Text</p> </div> <p>This is the body of the post</p> </div> To test my selector, I'm just trying to add a green border. I can handle the .wrap() once the selector is working. The most promising of my attempts is: $('.blog-post-content img').parent('div:not(".wp-caption")').css('border', '2px solid green'); ... but no luck.

  • Cocos2d on iPhone: Using Sprites Defined in Separate Class Files.

    - by srikanth rongali
    I'm trying to draw two sprites on the same screen. I have defined the two sprite objects in two separate class files. If I comment out two lines (see "item 1" comment below) then I get a display as [a backgroundimage[background2.jpg] with a sprite[grossini.png] on the left side. If I uncomment the two lines I do not get the background image and sprite of (gameScreen.m). I get only the sprite [grossinis_sister1.png] defined in (enemy.m). But what I need is a [backgroundimage[background2.jpg]], sprite[grossini.png] and sprite [grossinis_sister1.png] in one screen. This is implementation file of my first class: #import "gameScreen.h" #import "enemy.h" @implementation gameScreen -(id)init { if((self = [super init])) { CCSprite *backGroundImage = [CCSprite spriteWithFile:@"background2.jpg"]; backGroundImage.anchorPoint = ccp(0,0); CCParallaxNode *voidNode = [CCParallaxNode node]; [voidNode addChild:backGroundImage z:-1 parallaxRatio:ccp(0.0f,0.0f) positionOffset:CGPointZero]; [self addChild:voidNode]; CGSize windowSize = [[CCDirector sharedDirector] winSize]; CCSprite *player = [CCSprite spriteWithFile:@"grossini.png"]; player.position = ccp(player.contentSize.width/2, windowSize.height/2); [self addChild:player z:0]; //eSprite = [[enemy alloc]init]; //<-- see item 1 //[self addChild:eSprite]; } return self; } This is my implementation file of my second class: #import "enemy.h" #import "gameScreen.h" @implementation enemy -(id)init { if ((self = [super init])) { CGSize windowSize = [[CCDirector sharedDirector] winSize]; CCSprite *enemySprite = [CCSprite spriteWithFile:@"grossinis_sister1.png" ]; enemySprite.position = ccp(windowSize.width/2, windowSize.height/2); [self addChild:enemySprite]; } return self; } @end

  • Post parameters to a frame of new window

    - by st.stoqnov
    I have to modify an existing web search page. There is a page, where all the search filters are (form with name "searchform"). When the search button is pressed, results are shown in new window. Because the search takes up to 30 seconds, and while searching the window stays blank, I have to add a label "Searching. Please wait..." at the new created window with the results. So the search window is created, and I set it's location to a frameset. First frame will show the label, and the second will show the results. But i can't manage to update the second frame with the results. Result windows is created as: var left = (screen.width/2) - 750/2; var top = (screen.height/2) - 600/2-100; var styleStr = 'toolbar=no,location=no,directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,copyhistory=yes,width=750,height=600,left='+left+',top='+top+',screenX='+left+',screenY='+top; var msgWindow = window.open('ex_search_frameset.php', 'results_exi', styleStr); msgWindow.focus(); Than the search is requested: f = document.searchform; f.action = 'ex_search_results.php'; f.target = msgWindow.document.res_frame; // here i can't figure out what the target must be // or how to post the params from "f" to the second frame "res_frame" f.submit(); Here is the frameset. <frameset rows="200,*" border="1" name="SearchFrame"> <frame name="wait_frame" src="ex_search_wait.php" target="right"> <frame name="res_frame" src="ex_search_results.php" target="_self"> </frameset> Any idea how to do this?

  • What are the best practices for writing maintainable CSS?

    - by Art
    I am just starting to explore this area and wonder what are the best practices when it comes to production of clean, well-structured and maintainable CSSes. There seems to be few different approaches to structuring CSS rules. One of the most commonly encountered ones I saw was throwing everything together in one rule, i.e. margins, borders, typefaces, backgrounds, something like this: .my-class { border-top:1px solid #c9d7f1; font-size:1px; font-weight:normal; height:0; position:absolute; top:24px; width:100%; } Another approach I noticed employed grouping of properties, say text-related properties like font-size, typeface, emphasis etc goes into one rule, backgrounds go into other, borders/margins go into yet another one: .my-class { border-top:1px solid #c9d7f1; } .my-class { font-size:1px; font-weight:normal; } .my-class { height:0; top:24px; width:100%; position:absolute; } I guess I am looking for a silver bullet here which I know I am not going to get, bet nevertheless - what are the best practices in this space?

  • Jquery tooltip absolute position above a link which is inside paragraph text?

    - by BerggreenDK
    I am trying to retrieve the position of an HTML element inside a paragraph. Eg. a span or anchor. I would also like the width of the element. So that when I hover the object, I can activate/build/show a sort of toolbar/tooltip above the element dynamically. I need it to be dynamically added to exisiting content, so somekinda "search-replace" jQuery thingy that scans the elements within eg. a DIV and then does this for all that matches this "feature". Main problem/question is: How do I retrieve the "current absolute" position of the element I am hovering with the mouse. I dont want the toolbar/tooltip to be following the mouse, but instead it must "snap" to the element its hovering. so I was thinking: "place BOX -20px from current element. Match width.... Possible? is there a jQuery plugin for this already - or? Sample code: <div class="helper"> <h1>headline</h1> <p>Here is some sample text. But <a href="somewhere.htm" class="help help45">this is with an explanation you can hover</a>. <a href="somewhereelse.htm">And this isnt.</a> <ul> <li>We could also do it <a href="somewhere.htm" class="help help32">inside a bullet list</a></li> </ul> </div> The .help is the class triggering the "help" and the .help45 or .help32 is the helpsection needed to be shown (but thats another task later, as I am hoping to retreive the "id" from the "help45" so a serverlookup for id=45 can load the text needed to be shown. Nb. if the page scrolls etc. the helptip still needs to follow the item on the page until closed/hidden.

  • How to clip and fill a canvas using an alpha mask

    - by Jay Koutavas
    I have some .png icons that are alpha masks. I need to render them as an drawable image using the Android SDK. On the iPhone, I use the following to get this result, converting the "image" alpha mask to the 'imageMasked' image using black as a fill: CGColorSpaceRef colorSpace = CGColorSpaceCreateDeviceRGB(); CGContextRef context = CGBitmapContextCreate(NULL, thumbWidth, thumbHeight, 8, 4*thumbWidth, colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedFirst); CGRect frame = CGRectMake(0,0,thumbWidth,thumbHeight); CGContextClipToMask(context, frame, [image CGImage]); CGContextFillRect(context, frame); CGImageRef imageMasked = CGBitmapContextCreateImage(context); CGContextRelease(context); How do I accomplish the above in Android SDK? I've started to write the following: Drawable image = myPngImage; final int width = image.getMinimumWidth(); final int height = image.getMinimumHeight(); Bitmap imageMasked = Bitmap.createBitmap(width, height, Config.ARGB_8888); Canvas canvas = new Canvas(iconMasked); image.draw(canvas); ??? I'm not finding how to do the clipping on imageMasked using image.

  • UIImageView and UIScrollView load lot of pictures

    - by Allan.Chen
    In my app, i use UIImageView and UIScrollView to show lot of pictures(Every time there are about 20 pictures and every pictures about 600px*500px and size is about 600KB ), i use for this code to do this function. Here is code: //Here is pictures Data; self.klpArry = self.pictureData; CGSize size = self.klpScrollView1.frame.size; for (int i=0; i < [klpArr count]; i++) { UIImageView *iv = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake((size.width * i)+300, 20, 546, 546)]; NSString *filePath = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:[klpArr objectAtIndex:i] ofType:@"jpg"]; UIImage *imageData = [[UIImage alloc]initWithData:[NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:filePath]]; [iv setImage:imageData]; iv.backgroundColor = [UIColor grayColor]; [self.klpScrollView1 addSubview:iv]; imageData = nil; iv = nil; iv.image = nil; filePath = nil; [imageData release]; [filePath release]; [iv release]; } // show the picture in scrollview; [self.klpScrollView1 setContentSize:CGSizeMake(size.width * numImage, size.height)]; self.klpScrollView1.pagingEnabled = YES; self.klpScrollView1.showsHorizontalScrollIndicator = NO; self.klpScrollView1.backgroundColor = [UIColor grayColor]; But everytime i init this function, the memory will increase about 5MB, Actually i release UIImageView, UIimage and UIScrollView (vi.image=nil,[vi release]) but i doesn't work, it can't release the memory. BTW, i use my friend code first vi.image=nil then vi=nil; but the pictures not to show on scrollview. any one can help me ?? Thx ~~

  • Heroku "We're sorry, but something went wrong." due to javascript_include_tag

    - by Newton
    Uploading my ruby on rails app to heroku causes the following error: We're sorry, but something went wrong. This does not occur on my local machine. After some debugging, I think I may have spotted the error, but do not know how to fix it. In my file application.html.erb, removing the following line solves the problem, but then my app loses its jquery mobile theme. Any ideas what I could do to fix the problem? Line causing the problem: <%= javascript_include_tag "application" %> application.html.erb file: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Washapp</title> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.0.1/jquery.mobile-1.0.1.min.css" /> <%= javascript_include_tag "application" %> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.0.1/jquery.mobile-1.0.1.min.js"></script> <%= csrf_meta_tags %> <script> if (window.location.hash == "#_=_") window.location.hash = ""; </script> </head> <body> <div data-role="page"> <%= yield %> </div> </body> </html>

  • How to get TextWidth of string (without Canvas)?

    - by lyborko
    Hi, I would like to get text width of a string before an application starts. Everything works fine untill Application.MainForm canvas present. The problem is, when I try dynamicaly create TOrdinarium in the OnCreate event of the app. main form, "Canvas does not allow drawing" error occures. (Application.MainForm is nil....). I tried several ways to create Canvas dynamicaly (one of them is written below), but it can not measure text sizes without being attached to parented control. Is there way how to make it work somehow? Thanx I tried this: TOrdinarium = class (TCustomControl) private function GetVirtualWidth:integer; end; constructor TOrdinarium.Create(AOwner:TComponent); begin inherited; Width:=GetVirtualWidth; end; function TOrdinarium.GetVirtualWidth:integer; var ACanvas : TControlCanvas; begin ACanvas := TControlCanvas.Create; TControlCanvas(ACanvas).Control := Application.MainForm; ACanvas.Font.Assign(Font); result:=ACanvas.TextWidth('0'); ACanvas.Free; end;
