  • iOS Facebook SDK: FBRequestDelegate only works on AppDelegate??

    Hi guys, I want to encapsulate all my Facebook interactions within a FacebookFacade class to keep things clean and tidy. I have an instance of the iOS SDK Facebook class within my FacebookFacade. My problem is that when I make a Graph API call within the facade, such as: [self.facebook requestWithGraphPath:@"me" andDelegate:self]; the only method of FBRequestDelegate that gets called is requestLoading: and nothing else. I have tried putting similar code in other places, like in controllers and other models, and there too not all of the FBRequestDelegate methods get called, only requestLoading:. In fact the only way I can get the other FBRequestDelegate methods to be called is to put all my Facebook logic in the AppDelegate and make my AppDelegate the FBRequestDelegate. Why is this the case? Am I missing something here? I definitely do not want to use the AppDelegate as my FBRequestDelegate as I don't want to confuse the purpose of the AppDelegate. Thanks.

  • WPF windows locked when calling webservice. Even when run asynchronously

    Hi there. I'm having a big problem when calling a web service from my WPF application. The application/window locks until the process has completed. I've attempted to run this asynchronously but the problem still persists. Currently, the web service call I'm making can last 45-60 seconds. It runs a process on the server to fetch a big chunk of data. As it take a little while I wanted to have a progress bar moving indeterminately for the user to see that the application hasn't stalled or anything (you know how impatatient they get).     I'm building a bulletin board site (in 2010) and I'm sure this must be simple but again it doesn't seem so. Anyway on my default page I have a query webpart showing the latest items and what I need is just a button at the top of the page "Add new item" which would show the popup and allow users to complete the form just like it works on the display list items form. I've looked at AllItems.aspx but can't even see the "Add new item" button to copy! Any ideas? Thanks Dan

  • rails, activerecord callbacks not saving

    I have a model with a callback that runs after_update: after_update :set_state protected def set_state if self.valid? self.state = 'complete' else self.state = 'in_progress' end end But it doesn't actually save those values, why not? Regardless of if the model is valid or not it won't even write anything, even if i remove the if self.valid? condition, I can't seem to save the state. Um, this might sound dumb, do I need to run save on it?

    Hi, I have a Entity Framework design with a few tables that define a "graph". So there can be a large chain of relationships between objects in the few tables via concept of parent/child relationships. What is a performance way to 'tree-walking' through my Entity Framework data? That is I assume I wouldn't want to load the full set of all NODES and RELATIONSHIPS from the database for the purpose of walking the tree, where the end result may only be identifying leaf nodes? Or would this be OK with the way lazy loading may work at the column/parameter level? Else how could I load just the skeleton of the objects and then when needing to refer to any attributes have them lazy load then?

    Hello, There seems to be a problem, where i can't display the complete value in a html form text input box. When I echo $ title, I get output as "Stacey's Mom" This is the html code I used to show the value. -- This returns the value in textbox as "Stacey". Samething happens when "," or "'" or "/" occurs in the text. How can I show the entire text in the textbox. Help would be much appreciated.

    Before disconnect the client, the server wants to send some info to the client - why do I(server) disconnect you(client). If I send packet to the info and close the client socket immediately, closesocket() returns -1 and if I use linger option to work closesocket() successfully, the info cannot be sent completely. How can I complete this and is it possible to know socket buffer is empty(means my packet sent all)? thx.

    I am so frustrated right now after several hours trying to find where shared_ptr is located. None of the examples I see show complete code to include the headers for shared_ptr (and working). Simply stating "std" "tr1" and "" is not helping at all! I have downloaded boosts and all but still it doesn't show up! Can someone help me by telling exactly where to find it?   • What's a good icon to represent a legend or a key for a diagram?

    I'm implementing a small web app widget that shows a legend/key for a diagram (or chart/map/graph/whatever), but only during mouseover of the widget. It's basically just going to be a div with a background image. What would be a good icon that communicates "I show the legend" or "I am the legend" to the unfamiliar users? I'm looking for something in the 10x10 to 20x20 pixel range. Assuming that a legend is the same thing as a key (is it?) then I could use a small icon of a key (like you'd unlock a door with) but that seems cheesy or unclear at worst. I'm not sure that's really the clearest way to do it. Is there an icon that should instantly remind users of a legend?
