    hi, I cannot click on the links (tags) on top of the page in IE7. I tried to change z-index of the elements but it doesn't work.     I mean, assume a web page is very long and contain lots of words, now i just want to get the value of a textnode which is being shown on the screen.How could i do it? Thanks! :) what's more: I mean, i know how to get the value of a textnode,but if a web page is very lage and contains thousands of words, what i want to do is that,only get the shown textnode of the dom tree.That means if you slither a mouse wheel,some text disappear and some come into your vision.

  • Backup Exec job completed with exceptions: RWS_AttachToDLE

    2 of this weekend's jobs completed with exceptions, and mention "RWS_AttachToDLE". I get the feeling the job did in fact complete without missing data, but I would like to be 100% sure (and can't verify the backup myself right now - colleague is out of the office and the backup in question is a bit of a black box for me, it works but I am not familiar with its inner workings). Also, how can I prevent this from happening? Google didn't prove to be very helpful, and experts exchange seem to have changed their system so that you can't simply scroll down to see the answers to a particular question ;-)

  • Change Acer Aspire one D250 resolution

    Hi, Is there any way to choose something other than than 1024x600 or 800x600 resolution on a Acer Aspire One D250 netbook (Windows 7 Starter). A program we use needs at least 1024x768 but it's not available under Screen resolution (some UI elements of said program are otherwise hidden "below" the visible screenspace and unfortunately the app window is not resizable) On a D250 with Windows XP it was possible to go to Advanced settins - Monitor and uncheck "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". Then I was able to select the desired resolution and scroll up and down the screen with the mouse. In Windows 7 this "Hide modes..." checkbox is gray and not clickable :( Thanks

  • Dual head setup for Ubuntu 10.04.1 and Windows XP Pro with same hardware configuration

    Hello. I have a Dell OptiPlex 360 workstation at work, with 2 x ATI RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] graphics cards installed, which are attached to two identical 19" HII flat panel monitors. I'm using the open source Radeon driver with Ubuntu, and the proprietary drivers with Windows. The good news is that dual head configuration works for both OSes. The bad news is, I have to use a different hardware configuration for each OS to achieve this. Hardware config #1: Dual monitors work for Windows XP Pro like this: First display -> external VGA port Second display -> DVI input on gfx card Hardware config #2: Dual monitors work for Ubuntu 10.04.1 like this: First display -> VGA port on gfx card Second display -> DVI input on gfx card I connected up the displays according to Config #2 and booted up Windows, which resulted in a mirror image on both screens. I was unable to login, as the login box was not visible. I unplugged the VGA lead from gfx card and plugged it into the external VGA port (Config #1) - Windows dual head works again, but the VGA-connected screen is not recognised by Ubuntu and remains in standby mode. Is it possible to configure a dual head setup for Ubuntu using Config #1, or am I missing something? I tried setting up dual monitors using Config #1, this morning which didn't work.   • Microsoft Office 2013 Issue

    A few days ago I opened my microsoft office programs and discovered taht they are missing the editing icons at the top, some of them will appear if you scroll over them, but not all. Also, in PowerPoint the slides show in the side window with a red "x" I have tried to uninstall and reinstall office 2013, but I have had no luck. This issue is in every office program (excel, PP, word, access, outlook, etc). I also can't see the text when I type. Its there, I can see it when I print the document, but nothing on the screen. Does anyone have a solution for this issue??

  • Bash: Reset and Clear Commands

    I have been using the command: reset to clear my terminal. Although I am pretty sure this is not what I should be doing. Reset, as the name suggests resets your entire terminal (changes lots of stuff). Here is what I want: I basically want to use the command clear. However if you clear and then scroll up you still get tonnes of stuff from before. In general this is not a problem however I am looking at gross logs that are long and I want to make sure that I am just viewing the most recent one. I know that I could use more or something like that but I prefer this approach.

  • Windows 8 Start Screen very slow after Guest Additions

    I installed Windows 8 Release Preview on a VirtualBox VM, and it worked correctly. Then I installed the Guest Additions to get the correct resolutions. Now, the Start screen is very slow, takes a long time to scroll and doesn't respond well to clicks. I believe it's not my host, as it's a good machine (i7 CPU, 6 GB of RAM) and this specifically starts to happen after installing the Guest Additions. The task manager doesn't show anything wrong (i.e. no processes pegging the CPU). Any suggestions?

  • MacBook Pro 15in High-res hard to read. What setting should I change?

    I just bought a new MacBook Pro with the high-res screen (1680x1050), but I noticed that all text is so small that to read it my face has to be like 18 inches away. When I adjusted the resolution to be the next sizes down (1440 x 852, and 1440 x 852 stretched), as well as all the other smaller sizes it made everything look blurry (similarly to when you use Command + Scroll to zoom in, how the text is really soft on the edges, and difficult to read). Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing, or another resolution settings area that I can use. I feel like this 2800 dollar notebook may be only good for movie watching otherwise. Thanks in advance.
