    From time to time I end-up finding really old hidden gems and a few days ago I found another one. IList System.Collections.ArrayList.ReadOnly(IList list) This amazing method is available since the beginning (.NET 1.0). I always complain about the small support for ReadOnly lists and collections and I have no clue why I miss this one. For those of you that have to maintain and extend legacy applications prior to ASP.NET 2.0 SP2 this could be a very useful finding.

    gnome mplayer (gnome-mplayer) does not play video or dvd in expand or when the window is resized the video stay the same size and there is some kind of video error that is a picture of a previous frame of the video ,a small part is display and freezes undefined, unless is put back or not maximize. ..and the aspect of the video is the same 4:3 and do not change for example for 16:9 (and i think here is the error,not sure) other video displays not show this error not sure if is the rigth place do ask here

Of course there is much more than that, but if we consider the practices that rely on these two methods, are dynamically typed languages at disadvantage? It seem static typing would make refactoring and reverse engineering much easier? Refactoring or (automated) reverse engineering is hard if not impossible in dynamically typed languages?     Can sqlite3 be faster than MySQL on shared hosting and small to average websites (less than 500 visitors a day). I have an account in a popular shared hosting provider and I've noticed that it has become quite slow redering pages. My doubt is that this may happen because the MySQL server is overloaded. Some CMS'es work fine with SQLlite too, so I was wandering if I should use SQLite for the new sites instead of MySQL.
