  • iPhone UINavigation Controller issue?

    I have 3 different xib's. I am able to go back and forth between view 1 and view 2 with the following code... This Code brings up the second view... -(IBAction)startButtonClicked:(id)sender{ self.gamePlayViewController = [[GamePlayViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"GamePlayViewController" bundle:nil]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:gamePlayViewController animated:YES]; [GamePlayViewController release]; } This Code is executed in the second view and brings me back to the first view... -(IBAction)backButtonClicked{ [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated:YES]; } Now when I try to execute this code (in the second view) to get to the third view...I get SIGABRT and the app crashes...why does it work for the first view bringing up the second view, but not for the second view bringing up the 3rd view? -(IBAction)nextView{ self.thirdViewController = [[ThirdViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"ThirdViewController" bundle:nil]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:thirdViewController animated:YES]; [thirdViewController release]; }

    I am writing a number of static libraries for the iPhone and wish also to have suites of unit tests. XCode 3 provides templates for both static libraries and unit tests but I am wondering how they should fit together in a static library project? In my static library project I have created a target for unit testing but expect to also create an executable to kick off the unit tests than run against the classes in the static library. What is the procedure for doing this?

    Hi, I would like to create my own data format for an iPhone app. The files should be similar structured as e.g. Apple's iWork files (.pages). That means, I have a folder with some files in it: The file 'Juicy.fruit' contains: Fruits ---> Apple.xml ---> Banana.xml ---> Pear.xml ---> PreviewPicture.png This folder "Fruits" should be packed in a handy file 'Juicy.fruit'. Compression isn't necessary. How could I achieve this? I've discovered some open source ZIP-libraries. However, I would like to to build my own data format with the iPhones built-in libs (if possible). Best regards, Stefan

    Hi, I have a UITableView with a list of items such as item1, item2, item3, item4 and so on. If I select on item1, it will go to the detail view of item1 (which is controlled by DetailsViewController). What I am trying to do is to add a button called "Next" on DetailsView. When clicked, the DetailsView will refresh and show item2. When clicked again, it will show item3 and so on. I have been searching high and low for that to implement. But to no avail.     First of all, is this possible? If so: What challenges would I encounter in making an XCode imitation for iPhone/iPod development for Windows or Linux? I was thinking about using gcc as the actual compiler for the objecitve-c. Will that work? It doesn't need to compile to iPhone OS until it is to be tested on the device or submitted to the app store. Perhaps it will be easier to compile to the local OS format (Windows or Linux) until "prime-time".

  • How can I create a button with a UIActivityIndicator in my navigation bar with the same style as nor

    All of the examples I've seen on here and other sites involved creating a UIActivityIndicatorView and loading it with something like: self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = [[[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithCustomView:myActivityIndicatorView target:nil action:nil] autorelease]; However, that just creates a plain activity indicator in the navigation bar. What I want to do is have a button that looks just like the normal UIBarButtonSystemItem buttons but with an activity indicator instead of one of the default images. I've tried doing initWithImage and initWithTitle with nil images or titles and then adding the activity indicator as a subview, but that doesn't work. Any ideas?

    I have a really weird problem with UIImageView. I have an image (an RGB png) 45x45 pixels which I add to the view. I can see that image is blurred after added to the view.   • UIDisplayLink stops updating when UIScrollView scrolled

    Title is quite self explanatory, but I have some animation being done in a loop triggered by UIDisplayLink. However, as soon as I scroll a UIScrollView I have added to my view hierarchy, the animation stops immediately, only to return again when scrolling has completely stopped and come to a standstill.... Anyway to cancel this behaviour?

  • How do I get an imageview to rotate while translating in Android?

    I am trying to make an imageview that rotates while sliding across the screen. I setup a rotate animation for 180 degrees, and it works by itself. I setup a translate animation and it works by itself. When I combine them I get an imageview that makes a big spiral. I would like the imageview to rotate around the center of the imageview while being translated. AnimationSet animSet = new AnimationSet(true); //Translate upwards and to the right.     hi all, i've a little problem, i've add a default.png in my app and it work. I've modify my file, delete file and reference and upload my new file. On my iphone the image does not appear, only some second of blackscreen and after my app start. In the simulator the splashscreen appear. I've try to delete my app on iphone, make a clean all and rebuild & install but nothing... I've try to make clean all, close xcode, delete default.png to my project directory (sometimes exist, sometimes no), open xcode, add my file and build & install on my iphone but nothing... Any ideas?

  • Core data, sorting one-to-many child objects

    So if I have a store of parents children and the parent has a one to many relationship to children (parent.children) and they all have first names. Now, on the initial fetch for parents I can specify a sort descriptor to get them back in order of first name but how can I request the children in order? If I do a [parent.children allObjects] it just gives them back in a jumble and I'd have to sort after the fact, every time. Thanks, Sam

I've tried: Intent intent = new Intent(ACTION_MAIN); intent.addCategory(CATEGORY_LAUNCHER); and this only shows application that are preinstalled or can run the ACTION_MAIN Intent type. I also know I can use PackageManager to get all the installed applications, but how do I use this to run a specific application? Thanks

    The Base64 string checks out fine. I was able to export it to another website and download it again as my image. When I try to do an update using the Drive Javascript api, it just keeps returning this error: Invalidvaluefor:Notavalidbase64bytestring I also true making the string URL safe.   • Releasing an app - Developed on one account, releasing/approving on another

    Hi there, We have developed an application for a company who want to release it under their own account. It has been developed on our account and has had provisioning profiles attached to it from our own account. What is the best way to do this? Do I have to send them the xCode project and talk them through how to attack a provisioning profile to the project? Or can I just get their login details and create a provisioning profile from the Mac in the office and do it for them? Or is there a "transfer to different account" option? Many thanks!
