    At the moment I am creating a jQuery plugin. I am facing a problem when using a callback.   • Need generated UML diagrams for C++ plugin modules

    I need various UML diagrams (sequence/collaboration, class, package, and system component) from some C++ files. However, these files are plugins in a larger programming framework. I have tried generating UML from Rational Rose 7 (2002 version), but I am not very experienced and I am unsure if RR simply cannot produce the diagram, I am doing something wrong, or the diagrams are not rendering correctly because the source files are plugins instead of standalone programs. I have also tried Star Modeler with little success and there seem to be no tutorials on how to generate these models. Is there a simple, bulletproof way to get UML diagrams for C++ files?

  • Limiting what a .net plugin can access

    I have a web application that can load plugins through reflection. It currently uses Assembly.LoadFrom() and Activator.CreateInstance() to get this done. Right now plugins are loaded into the same AppDomain and have access to anything in my app and anything my app could access. What I'm looking for is a way to limit what classes and methods the plugin can access for security purposes. I want to have all of my classes and methods throw an exception when called unless they are whitelisted. I'd be whitelisting basically all the functions in an API class and a few data transfer objects. I also don't want the plugin to be able to access the filesystem or the database on it's own. I think I can do that with trust levels in a separate AppDomain though. Does anyone out there have any good ideas or resources? Is this something that could be done with Code Access Security or the new Security-Transparent Code features in .net 4?

  • Best memory settings for eclipse 4.2 (STS 3.1) on Windows 7 64 bit?

    I apoligize in advance if this question is indeed too subjective as SO warns me. My workstation has 8 gb of ram and runs windows 7 64 bit. I use the Spring tool Suite (3.1) but as soon as i am starting to open and modify the spring config (.xml) files, STS becomes incredibly slow. I already tried switching off "build automatically" and to increase memory settings but no luck. How should i change my .ini ? this is what i have set now: -vm C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0_07/bin/javaw.exe -startup plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.3.0.v20120522-1813.jar --launcher.library plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.win32.win32.x86_64_1.1.200.v20120522-1813 -product org.springsource.sts.ide --launcher.defaultAction openFile --launcher.XXMaxPermSize 4096M -vmargs -Dosgi.requiredJavaVersion=1.5 -Xms512m -Xmx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m My collageu running the same project in IntelliJ, has no problems.     Well my problem is that after I want to "unload" loaded DLL's the copy assignmnent operator is called an unlimited amount of times until crash.     I am writing a python package. I am using the concept of plugins - where each plugin is a specialization of a Worker class. Each plugin is written as a module (script?) and spawned in a separate process. Because of the base commonality between the plugins (e.g. all extend a base class 'Worker'), The plugin module generally looks like this: import commonfuncs def do_work(data): # do customised work for the plugin print 'child1 does work with %s' % data In C/C++, we have include guards, which prevent a header from being included more than once. Do I need something like that in Python, and if yes, how may I make sure that commonfuncs is not 'included' more than once?

    hi everyone, whats the best way to configure openvpn clients to go selectively go about using an openvpn connection? i want to setup a vpn server for friends in china, but i dont want them to use it for everything, just so they can access sites like youtube, facebook, cnn, etc. while they are in china through the vpn (these are blocked). it would be nice if the vpn was a backup, so for instance if they are trying to go to facebook (which is blocked), it would go through the vpn connection once finding that the normal connection does not work. this would save a lot of bandwidth cost actually, and give them a better browsing experience. is this a iptable route thing? or a dns server that i push to my clients?

  • Silently binding a variable instance to a class in C++?

    So I've got a plugin-based system I'm writing. Users can create a child class of a Plugin class and then it will be loaded at runtime and integrated with the rest of the system. When a Plugin is run from the system, it's run in the context of a group of plugins, which I call a Session. My problem is that inside the user plugins, two streaming classes called pf_ostream and pf_istream can be used to read/write data to the system. I'd like to bind the plugin instance's session variable to pf_ostream and pf_istream somehow so that when the user instantiates those classes, it's already bound to the session for them (basically I don't want them to see the session internals) I could just do this with a macro, wrapping a call to the constructor like: #define MAKE_OSTREAM = pf_ostream_int(this->session) But I thought there might be a better way. I looked at using a nested class inside Plugin wrapping pf_ostream but it appears nested classes don't get access to the enclosing classes variables in a closure sort of way. Does anyone know of a neat way to do this?

    Microsoft launched the developer preview version of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) at MIX 10 web conference yesterday.This release is aimed getting the feedback from website designers , developers and other community to make IE9 development better from its previous versions. Microsoft will update the developer preview every eight weeks and the next update is expected on mid of march.So what is new and interesting  about IE9 Chakra Chakra (The new scripting engine of IE9) renders the Java script much faster compared to IE8 and other browsers thus improving the performance significantly.According to Microsoft Chakra renders the java script in background with a separate thread parallel to the main engine which is complete new way of rendering from the current browser technologies Standards Microsoft is desperate to make ( surprisingly!!!) IE9 compliance to  web standards by supporting the open standards such as Accelerated support for HTML5 video support for new web technologies such as CSS3 and SVG2.     Part of the challenge with HTML5 is understanding the range of different technologies and finding good samples. The following are some of the sites I have found most useful. IE TestDrive http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/ A good set of demos using touch, appcache, IndexDB, etc. Some of these only work with IE10. You can place your pre-order through its online store (Apple) or reserve it at any of the Apple retail stores. iPAD may have received mixed reactions when announced last month. But Apple knows how to sell; it is believed that more than 50,000 pre orders are already placed till now placed till now. People have to wait for another 3 weeks to get the actual device as the launch date is 3rd of April in the US. The initial model released will be available only with Wi-Fi and the planned 3G model is expected to be released by end of April. So how much does it cost you to get this little marvel? The basic iPAD (16 GB Wi-Fi) will cost you $499. if you are serious apple fan and plan to buy an iPAD better place your order now.     Google has launched a Twitter archive service which allows you to  search tweets in real time as well as on its huge public archive (remember Twitter crossed 10 billionth tweet last month). The search results are displayed as tweets with twitter logo. To explore the twitter search go to Google.com homepage  and select   “Show options” on the search results page, then select “Updates.”.  The search is similar to the Google search with options to dig through the tweets by timeframe. You can explore results by zooming through a particular time range  or date. In addition to the time chart, it also displays the relative volume of an activity on Twitter about the topic. as you can see there is a spike about GSLV launch after 3 PM today.There is also a short cut link “Now” on the left corner which displays the latest results on the topics searched.The tweets also gets refreshed automatically.   Considering the huge volume of activity (50 million messages per day) on twitter, the archive is going to more and bigger.
